I'm with you until the macro percentages. 50 % protein is insanely high. Let's say you are eating 2500 cal a day, so 50% of that is obviously 1250 which = 312 g protein. Which is way too much. I haven't seen any research that shows benefit past .8 g/lb, but we can round to 1 g/lb for simplicity. And if someone was 300 lbs, they could cut weight on cals a lot higher than 2500. Good post, just knock the protein down a bit.

Why are you trying so hard? This is the exact opposite of abundance mentality. Your gym example was solid but the shit about the platonic joke is weak.

I don't think Nate is an alpha, he's jsut a dumbass. saying he doesn't give a fuck doesn't really impress me. he said it about 100 times in the press conference. literally the only two things I heard diaz say were " if you don't care about the belt, why did you bring it" and " I don't give a fuck" first one is a good point, 2nd one is decent but if you say it literally 100 times it just sounds stupid.

it has nothing to do with that at all. you don't run linear progression programs forever. only 3-6 months. no one is saying you only can squat bench and deadlift for the rest of your life. they're saying focus on those 3 for 3-6 months, develop a solid foundation and learn how to do the compound lifts. then focus on whatever you want. you have to build a base. which is the entire purpose of SS, regardless of if you want to do powerlifting, bodybuilding, olympic lifting, strongman, just want to l…

if your big deadlift isn't altering the shape of your back, I'd question how big it is. if someone goes from not pulling to pulling 315, they should definitely have some physique changes in their back that are visible. and it's not like 315 is anything big at all. just for the avg person it would be decent. and again, these aren't meant to be long term programs. yes SS isn't great for your biceps, that's not it's point. it's point is to establish strength in a short period of time and teach you …

bad idea. doing the lifts once a week is fine for people who know what they're doing (hence 5/3/1 works for many) but not for noobs. it's not enough volume and it's not enough practice for technical mastery of the lifts. stronglifts is just a rip off of starting strength so I'll address starting strength. it's made for noobs. noobs don't know what accessory lifts to run. SS isn't meant to be run forever. most people get 3-6 months out of it depending on how much weight they add each session. You…

There is no good shape without good diet? says who? you know how many guys there are that eat "crap" but still look good? hit your macros and you'll be fine. that can be accomplished by eating "clean" or by eating "junk-food" lifting doesn't make people look like the hulk. years of hard work and chemical help do. if you don't want to look like the hulk you'll never get even close.

another thing that is important is either a) not doing shit that makes you tied down to a location or a job b) in the event you do that shit, you hide it. The guy who has an apartment with no wife or kids is a whole lot more likely to uproot and move to somewhere else that will pay him what he is worth, than a guy with 2 kids in private school, a house, a wife and a new boat. That shit screams that you're tied down and sucks the leverage right out of you.

I have no idea and that's not the purpose of this discussion. It's not like every 55 yr old dude that is slightly deficient is being recommended TRT by his doc. It's used for severe deficiency where conservative therapy doesn't work.

there's no alternative... I don't think you understand the magnitude of these problems, this isn't something that you just fix by doing a few squats and eating right. What happens to a diabetic in the event of a national turmoil? They'd probably rather be self-sufficient too but seeing as their meds are literally the only thing that can keep them from a coma and possible death, they'll choose the meds.
/r/TheRedPill12/11/15 02:06 AM

We're talking about people that are physiologically deficient in testosterone. I love lifting but the whole " squats produce testosterone" is a myth that has been shown to be false in literature. It's like comparing a bazooka to a 9 mm. Yeah for some people all they need is a 9 mm(diet and exercise) but someone that needs TRT certainly is not one of them.

"the kind that's 18, virgin, great cook, doesn't party, but that will take a while to game before she opens up her legs" I remember when I believed in unicorns. Let's be logical here. What are the chances an 18 yr old girl can cook decently, let alone great, maybe 1/100? Then add your other variables. Good luck
/r/TheRedPill03/11/15 10:52 PM
1

why is that a problem though? like can you personally love a woman unconditionally? I sure as hell can't. I understand the whole " she's not yours, it's just your turn" concept, but it's the same way for you being hers unless you be a little bitch and let her walk all over you.

the fact that muscle is " extra mass" for the purpose of that discipline of the sport is proof itself that it's catabolic... I agree that isn't marathon training but it still puts you more in the catabolic side than I'd want personally. I'd opt for HIIT or walking at an incline(which is less catabolic hormone-wise but obviously takes longer for a given calorie burn)
/r/TheRedPill15/10/15 12:37 AM
2

and there are also credible ones about humans not being made to run. mother nature doesn't do things without a reason? what does this rhetoric even mean. does the fact that we have legs and feet somehow automatically mean those feet are meant to be used for running?? Humans can outrun everything else on the planet over time? What?
/r/TheRedPill15/10/15 12:33 AM
2

Running depletes glycogen stores rapidly. once those are depleted, there's the release of cortisol which causes a cascade of catabolic effects, such as the breakdown of amino acids from protein into glucose which is then used to make ATP through a couple pathways. Why do you think marathon runners are skinny fat, but sprinters are very lean? Distance running is catabolic. Look at the people who do endurance cardio at the gym. Everyone knows the cardio club. They look the same 5 years later as th…

the human body was certainly not built for distance running.... check out all the injuries long distance runners get. we are made to walk and then sprint and then walk again. not to mention if you're trying to maintain muscle mass, short of getting 3rd degrees burns on 50 % of your body or a massive infection, running is about as catabolic as you can get.

pretty good but if your deficit is only 200 cals/day and you have a cheat day ( which for most people is going to be 1000+ calorie surplus), you're going to undo a lot of what you've done throughout the week. I think anything more than 500 cal deficit is too aggressive. 200 is crazy slow. That's 2 and a half weeks to lose a pound of fat, or half the year to lose 10 lbs of fat. I don't know many people that cut for 6 months straight and 10 lbs of fat is a decent amount but probably pretty standar…

It's funny because they even admit the difference is due to working less. "Hi Nic, at ANZ, while we have parity in salaries for women and men in equivalent roles, our numbers show that the superannuation account balance for female employees are still lower. Reasons for this include larger numbers of female employees working part time and/or taking time out to care for families" Yet for some reason they are still giving the money out... Makes no sense

Ali's strategy for a majority of his career was to let his opponent beat the shit out of him and then tire out, at which point he'd pounce. You can win fights that way, but I'm not sure I would call that good boxing. Mayweather is the definition of a " good boxer." He doesn't get hit and he lands many hits.

people always say this about the emotional intelligence, but it makes literally no sense. what is a common example of something a woman does that shows she has higher emotional intelligence? honestly I can't think of any trait where men have a bigger advantage than emotional intelligence. accidental pregnancies are more common than you think. I believe current estimates in literature are between 10 and 20 percent. I don't think it's going to make betas rock stars but it probably will raise their value a little. What I'm really looking forward to is seeing the feminist hamster when these women realize they can't solely decide when they want to have kids by forgetting to have a pill. I also think that is a higher percentage than you are letting on.

two completely separate points. I'm pretty sure the numbers were like 13 and 17 avg though for homosexual vs heterosexual first sexual experience. There was a post on here about it a few months ago.

it's not like thats an unreasonable theory. the feminazis just try to write it off as unreasonable and not even debate it. where is the proof it's an innate condition? some thoughts: homosexual people's first sexual encounter occurs much younger than heterosexual people homosexuality isn't seen anywhere else in animal kingdom

my main question is why you wanted to fuck a butch dyke?
/r/TheRedPill15/03/15 08:58 PM
1

no. it's because they don't actually measure out the portions and accurately count their calories. calories out/ calories in isn't the end all be all, but it's a perfect example of the 80/20 rule. it's a pretty simple way to control your weight, provided you actually do it. I've never seen someone who actually weighs/measures their food and strictly follows calories in/ calories out not control their weight how the wanted. what I have seen, is a lot of people who estimate and fail terribly at it…

any chick who has more than 10 pics on facebook is a whore. I don't give a fuck if there are 11 pics with grandma, she's fishing for attention. same thing for these chicks with 1000 fb friends. if you have 1000+ friends I automatically assume you're a douche, male or female.
/r/TheRedPill13/03/15 07:31 PM

/r/TheRedPill09/03/15 11:58 PM

ever noticed how women are terrible at estimating things? most of the time they'll come up with a random reason why they can't estimate and then when they do, it's not even close to reasonable. or how whenever a chick goes on a diet, it's essentially never a 300-500 calorie deficit. they'll just start eating like 1000 calories. they're just not rational.

I don't get that commercial. a) Are they admitting they're a joke of a gym, so that no one serious about fitness ( ie possessing a "hot" body) would ever be interested in coming there ? b) If a is untrue and the hot chicks do in fact go to planet fitness, are they going to be discriminated against for being good looking and asked to leave? I don't see how what the commercial refers to would actually be addressed c) are they saying there's a lunk alarm for being hot?

I honestly think significant women that are solely lesbians( I think that literally all women are bi naturally) are just that way because men aren't attracted to them, so to rationalize their way out of not being upset by that, they just hamster their way into liking other fat, spiked purple hair chicks. When was the last time you saw a truly hot woman that only was after chicks? I don't think I ever have.
/r/TheRedPill06/03/15 10:29 PM

even hamstering harder than that, if you ever heard a girl reference playing with her friends on a road trip, you know some shit happened. "playing " and " getting frisky" with a refusal to explain what that means have been the two I've personally heard

it's one research study. that's incredibly low power, regardless of any other factors. you can discuss it all you want. the point is, saying " science says " like it's some giant conclusion supported with tons of evidence is foolish. We can say " science says " that smoking causes lung cancer, because there's a plethora of research to support that.
/r/TheRedPill05/03/15 03:03 PM

it's a hasty conclusion because you said "says science" from a conclusion of one article. these scientists haven't shown anything, it's one study.

you guys really need to learn to not take one study to be the end-all-be-all in terms of scientific information. "says science" because of one study is borderline insane. I can make a study say whatever I want, I just have to tweak the methodology enough. I'd carefully monitor what the magazines say though. They're no different than something like TIME just because they're financial in nature. I guess it depends on how you define talking. I read it as she physically removed herself from the date and went over to where other dude was. I don't care if he's her dad, that's automatic next for me. "1000 yous and only 1 of me"
/r/TheRedPill28/02/15 02:33 AM

the best way to get the social shit going is just brute force. just go talk to people, like hundreds upon hundreds of people. everyone wants to read 1000 articles about how to talk to chicks and be smooth but honestly regardless of your level of expertise, you're going to have to talk to them eventually so you might as well just get going and do it now. you're not going to get good with people from reading articles online, you get good with people from talking to people

the right answer is somewhere in-between both extremes being represented. birth control can fail on its own with perfect use (although at a pretty small %, but "perfect" use is pretty stringent), while it is also possible that some women are " out to get you."

It's never going to hurt you to be muscular and lean unless you get to IFBB pro levels, which isn't going to be an issue for 99.9999999999999% of people

I'm pretty sure if your thighs are super muscular, they won't remind you of gelatin or "thunder thighs". sounds like a dreamer bulk to me that is especially noticeable on one's legs. pro-tip: 99 % of people that use the words bulk and tone don't know anything. "tone" is just a function of body-fat and "bulk" is just a function of hypertrophy. I have very muscular thighs and gelatin is literally the last word I'd ever use to describe them. Tumor would be the first. My quads looks like tumors.

you made a very good point. so with the whole "fat-acceptance movement" there's been a huge disconnect between saying it's understandable to be fat(it really isn't but we have to pander to some bullshit where public policy is concerned) vs saying it's normal. There's a difference and people don't realize that. Just because we don't berate people for being fat, doesn't mean we tell them its ok.

I wouldn't say stretching, I'd say some form of mobility work. My recommendation is limber 11. Want to stress that yoga isn't inherently beneficial because the poses are difficult. For instance, if I told you to do a 1 finger push-up, most people would be unable to do so. However, you don't see everyone going out there working on 1 finger push-ups, because it's not a very functional movement that translates to other athletics.

if you were in shit shape, you would have had fantastic results from your training, period(ie regardless of what you did and if you took anything). steroids aren't for people in " shit-shape." the only way someone is going to be ready at 24/25 is if they've been training hard since they were 18 or younger. I'm not saying being a sprinter makes you good at everything athletic. I'm saying it generally is a much superior state for other sports than being a marathoner is.

its the easiest thing to destroy in one sentence. " 95 % of garbagemen are males, do you think that should change too? " " do you think its sexist that women aren't forced to sign up for the draft?"
/r/TheRedPill18/01/15 04:40 PM
2

yeah but a sprinter is going to be a better wrestler than an ultra-distance runner. ultra-distance running is a very specific athletic activity that would result in diminished performance in a large range of other athletics. sprinting wouldn't have as negative of an effect on other activities. again I'm not hating on long-distance running and peoples' hobbies are their own business but I think the whole " jogging to lose weight" and similar stuff is complete shit
/r/TheRedPill18/01/15 04:11 PM

Being good doesn't mean it's ideal for people. It's highly catabolic, biomechanically inefficient (look at structure of human foot, we're made to sprint and walk) and has a high injury rate. Its cool if it's a hobby or something you enjoy to do, but there's a difference between that and doing it because it's a good way to become fit or more athletic.

What does more important mean? Who looks more like other athletes, a sprinter or an ultra distance runner?

I don't think any sane person is going to randomly go into detail about their ex like that, let alone how big their dick is. not to mention when you consider the statistical likelihood of that actually being true, it's pretty slim. had a girl tell me her ex was bigger one time when she was pissed and I'm 7. so not only is it unlikely, it's not worth worrying about because it's not even a good thing at that point. hearing you tear up chicks every othe…

I don't agree at all. I don't think narcissistic people are insecure. I think the strongest correlation would be amount of pictures taken of yourself vs your insecurity. Every single person I know that takes a lot of those does so for attention. Begging for attention is independent at worst of narcissism and psychopathy and probably trending towards a negative correlation. If I think I'm the shit, I don't need someone else to tell me that.

be cognizant of your interest rates. for instance the current grad school unsubsidized loan rates are ~ 7 percent, so by paying those down you're getting a guaranteed return of 7 percent on your money, which is literally the best investment you'll ever find. that depends on how you define layer of fat. compare a marathon runner vs a sprinter. most people are either too fat to run for long durations, or they're lean enough where running for long distances isn't going to do much to make them shed fat. marathon runners are skinny fat, not a real ideal body composition for most people. totally cool if its a hobby or interest, but I wouldn't plan health goals around it at all.

A sleeve isn't nearly as compressive and just keeps your knees warm. They're very comfortable. I wear rehband sleeves whenever I squat. Look for the blue ones. 7 mm, not the new grey ones that are 5. Those aren't as good. Belts are for staying tight. It gives you something to brace against to maintain intra thoracic pressure. I'm assuming you weren't aware of how to use one and that's why you didn't feel a difference. You want to inhale and push against the belt before starting the lift
/r/TheRedPill04/01/15 04:35 PM

The knees are loaded differently. look at top lifters and compare their raw vs raw + wraps squatting videos. Without wraps people distribute the load more through their hips, vs with wraps you commonly see people load their knees harder. This changes the musculature used(brings it closer to high bar, oly style squats) . you basically sacrifice proper biomechanical positioning for pure mechanical advantage(usually those things run hand in hand, such as being tight for a squat or deadlift, but thi…

woah woah woah. knee wraps alter the mechanics of the squat. they're not actually for safety. they're for adding lbs to the bar(aka carryover). knee sleeves are a different beast and I would recommend any beginner or intermediate trainee to get some rehband or sbd sleeves. knee wraps will absolutely increase the probability of an injury because they alter the mechanics and you're overall less equipped to handle the weight you're using. Or just make one. Oly platform is 8x8' and costs less than 200 bucks to make. Can get a rack, good bar , bench, 400 lbs of plates and build platform for under $1000. One of these days I'll write an equipment buying guide. Buying your own stuff is pretty cheap and the time and convenience savings compared to going somewhere are great.

Huh, I'm not making any generalizations on a gay mans appearance. I'm saying by nature, if you're gay, you don't have as much interest in women compared to a straight male. Women go to bars to get free drinks and to meet guys. Straight guys trying to get laid are the ones buying them drinks. Any gay guys they'd meet wouldn't likely be interested in them so by nature it's foolish for women to frequent gay bars.

I actually misread your post. Anyway exercises that cause spinal flexion aren't inherently bad, as nearly all of them are going to. Crunches are bad because you're essentially leaving your lumbar and sacral spines in flexion the entire time and then flexing c-spine and t-spine to complete a rep. lower back flexion is generally not something you want to mess with in large quantities. The compounds have you go through both flexion and extension, so like in the hole squatting obviously your lower s…

Honestly the food you eat isn't that important, if you eat enough of it. There are plenty of people that eat like complete crap but have good bodies because they train hard. People overemphasize the eating aspect so much, especially for beginners, which really scares them away because they think it's a total life transformation to do all the shit necessary just to lift 3 times a week. Yes because libertarianism is essentially the political viewpoint where people completely accept that they are responsible for their own actions. GOP pretty much is down for that in the economic sector, but no so much in the social. Liberals are the opposite. For every Rickie Fowler or John Legend, there are thousands upon thousands of people trying to do the same thing making extremely small amounts of money.

My thought is if you took the money and did something else with it for yourself, you'd probably appear more outwardly attractive. Like instead of spending 1300 for a table one night, spend 1300 on some clothes that fit well and you look good in(assuming you want to spend money to get chicks). The results of that move are going to be a much higher value than a table. I've never understood the table for ONS thing. It's a paradox to me. The things that having a table shows(having money) are things …

This doesn't make sense on a basic level. If you're the leader, you don't fling yourself at danger, because you are the most valuable. It's how in movies like Troy, the leaders were portrayed as wearing special armor to dictate their rank. That only happened for a few years and people realized " oh shit if I make it obvious I'm important, the enemy will focus on killing me," and thus the practice was abandoned. Under this logic, the president should be out there on the front lines. Nah. You need…

I already stated how. By making it so the father has absolutely 0 legal connections to the child. That's not how a financial abortion works. I wouldn't say it's imposing, and I'm not saying that men should get the entire say, but there should be something more than a financial abortion but less potent than forcing abortion. yes that's understood but multiples like that are worthless after a certain time. no one that is serious about strength is going to weigh 160 at either of those heights. multiples are stupid because it's much harder relatively as you weigh more(obviously). It's more impressive to squat 600 at 300 than it is to squat 350 at 150. this is why comparing wilks scores is a better idea for strength PL in my username stands for powerlifting, as in I compete.

It's not bias then, it's just logic. Isn't it funny how the very real realization of women having children is somehow looked upon as a detractor of potential employment? It's funny because I'd love to sit on my ass and raise my kid, but I have to go to work to make money. Everyone has to give up things to get done what they need to do. If someone wishes to have a child, it should absolutely have a negative effect on their career vs someone that doesn't, there's no reason not to. It's no differen…

Sorta agree, sorta disagree. I think a big part of red pill is saying that even today, biology explains a lot of human behavior. However I'd say it's behavior on the population level, not individual people. So it's quite possible for individuals to not be interested in reproduction, however on the whole, the average male will be. Sorta feeling MGTOW and I'm a younger guy that has gotten plenty. Just too many risks for me right now in my career to be interested in women.

you don't have to have no emotion to be stoic, you just don't freak out like the typical person does. " your shirt sucks" "ok" ^ classical stoicism

you must not understand the concept of anti-trust or collective bargaining. if they set can arbitrarily set penalties how they want, what is the point of the NFLPA? They have been granted many special powers by the government and as such, they have their own checks on their power(such as the fact that the NFLPA has to agree with them on suspension standards). due to the fact that there's nothing in those standards about an indefinite suspension for new evidence, there's 0 logical basis for suspe…

just because you sit at home doesn't mean you bring no value... a good traditional wife is going to do shitloads of work around the house and keep it like a palace. know what I'm good at? making money. know what I hate doing? the dishes and cleaning shit. 2 full time working people is a grind on a household. after work you're both tired as hell, shes not going to be able to make as extravagant of a dinner, house won't be as clean. there are also concepts where a woman working doesn't actually ma…

you don't. you either change your mindset or your girl doesn't give a shit about you and you stay unhappy sexually. "you don't know how to get out of their situation with the mindset those men have" That's like me trying to make the NFL sitting on my couch 22 hours a day and eating papa john's for every meal. just not possible unless you make a huge change.

this shows the lack of common sense on the part of the typical female. When you consider how terrible at driving the average one is and then you make them drive for a living, yeah you're asking for trouble. I'd wager a guess that many more females would be hurt by female cab drivers due to lack of skill than by male drivers who want to assault them.

how are you going to prove its in your best interest for men not to patronize your business. What you're saying about private businesses isn't true. They can refuse service if they have a reason that is actually concrete. They can't just willy nilly say they want you out of there.

so there's one confirmed case and 3 accusations and this is big news? So you get a service that is for the most part drunk people and 1 case and 3 accusations are suddenly a problem? Also I'd love to see the reaction if men tried to create a man only gym. Oh wait I know what it would be. Women at country clubs flip shit when there's a men's grill or something like that. much worse? in what way? do we have separate penalties for severe domestic abuse and just regular domestic abuse? they had footage of her walking into elevator and footage of her being dragged out. Rice was very open with the fact that he knocked her out, so the video changes nothing. the NFL should have higher standards than law? sounds like a nice way of saying they can arbitrarily set penalties however they want, something you see rampant in academia in the manner of "professionalism."

You know there are people that have kids because they want to, right? I'm completely in support of male birth control, but I'm not naive enough to think that "mistake" pregnancies are as prevalent as you make it out to be.

but the NFL still gave him a suspension, which they surely wouldn't do to someone who was defending themselves, right? I'm just confused because I haven't see anyone question the fact that there is a new suspension. It's double jeopardy. I mean they literally asked the prosecutor if they thought anything would change or if the proceedings would have been different if that tape was released before the trial, and the response was " no everything went according to standard procedure for 1st time of…

This could be used for "why he is afraid of relationship" and it would still be 99.9% accurate. All the same stuff in OP happen during the relationship, it's just that a) you won't notice it as much because you haven't endured it for so long b) she's going to be a little more discrete because you haven't legally committed yet. Hobbies thing is the biggest thing since getting out of a LTR. I have so much time to do hobbies I want that just wasn't there before.

I disagree, because you could run a successful community with extremely limited males and enough females to populate however you wanted. Therefore the females would be the ones that are disposable whereas the loss of a male would be much more important. Situation dependent. No one gender is the limiting factor in the number of kids a community can produce. If anything I'd argue that the fact where a women has to wait 9 months before potentially reproducing again, whereas a male can immediately m…

disagree with the OP, but something we should actually be talking about: What is the reasoning behind a new suspension? How does this new video change the subject of the penalty? Do we penalize people differently for murdering someone with a gun, than we do for people that murder with a knife?

What is it about the world now vs the past where there are so few great minds now? How is it that people from 100-300 years ago were more able to predict how the world is, than the actual people living today? If I could do one thing in life, it would be talk to the people like the founding fathers and Tesla about things like this.

Anyone ever think it's women that are replaceable? Laying around getting screwed, cleaning the house and cooking aren't exactly things that require specialization or much effort in terms of doing xyz to be able to do so. Guys have to do college, grad school, apprenticeships, other stuff to get to their positions. I just don't understand where the concept that women are more valuable comes from. Same thing with the whole men can't reproduce on their own concept neither can women.

maybe if you're being illogical and saying " I'm gonna have a deficit of 1000 calories per day and all the weight I lose will be fat." Everyone I've seen that trains hard, eats enough protein and has a realistic deficit of 300-500 calories/day has lost as much fat as they wanted and kept a good amount of muscle. Is in vs out perfect? No, and if someone focused on their nutrition more they'd likely get better results. How much better? It's probably something insignificant like 10 %. Absolutely wo…

why did turn it into a debate basically when she was about to leave with other guy? you should have just said, " alright." If she already wants to go with the dude, you're not going to say anything to make her not go. you would have taken her yourself to where they were going because she wanted to hang out with his friends? so you were going to drive her over to another place to bang another dude?

couldn't disagree more. I actually just looked into this issue some more and he followed her work for 10ish years and gave it great praise, then they basically had a tiff over his obsession with anarchy and he decided to leave. It sounds like he supported her completely and then when he disagreed with one thing he freaked the hell out and left and decided to poke fun at her. I mean it's clear she's looking for a free ride so I wouldn't put anything past her. Was she begging to live with you before she got evicted? Probably not. I don't think anyone is saying that it's probable she's going to claim rape or anything like that, just that if that is even a concern, you shouldn't be in the situation. She's a big girl and if you tell her it's time for her to find her own place, she'll be just fine.

I just looked at her youtube channel and the video about monoamine oxidase. You can't even hear what's shes saying, but does anyone feel like she just picked a random enzyme to somehow appear like she's scientific? If she was honestly making an argument for epigenetics to solve all of her problems, why wouldn't she go with something that would theoretically do that?
