since their dynamic was completely formative to your happiness as a child, your desires as an adult are inescapable. we should consider ourselves lucky to have been blessed with competent parents who could role model for us happiness. it’s not a curse to desire stability and traditional roles, even if it’s socially passé.

I had the same upbringing. I think if you had a happy childhood and witnessed a traditional, happy marriage, you are going to have an innate desire as an adult to have the same thing and be attracted to the sexual dynamic involved and to men who are leaders and providers. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, and some of your friends will come to the same realization as they grow older.
