Another user has pointed out that it is NZ, but I would just like to add that not all countries have a sex offender registry like the US. I am not American and to be quite honest sometimes I'm a bit appalled about what I read regarding how it works in there. It seems the way it works there promotes stigma and is so misused that it counters the benefits of having it in the first place.

Except that losing weight is not about not eating. It is about eating the right stuff at the right time, plus exercise. Starving your body is one of the worst things you could do, its unsustainable and terrible in the long run.

Even if its anecdotal evidence it is an interesting story and I can see this happening. However, I think you went a bit too far in generalizing that women are not taught to have empathy and perspective. Or maybe I didn't understand exactly what you were implying. I recall seeing some research about how women were in fact more biologically fit for empathy, but could only find this now.
