Eh, if so it's probably not consciously. A lot of people constantly use personal circumstances to add some logic to why certain things happened in their life and have no idea they're even doing it. It's also easy, as an outsider, to look at someone else's life and draw that conclusion about something they're going through. If I assume everything in the post to be more or less true, looks like they both made some not so smart choices (although one eventually decided to get off the path that led t…

I just re-read her whole post to double check first, but nowhere does she say she "self-diagnosed" her autism. She mentioned she had autism. Unless we need a certified post from her MD to confirm, I'm not taking her mentioning her condition as a "self-diagnosis." (I did see someone else in here also mention it was 'self-diagnosed' but I didn't see anywhere it was said by OP)

Never said anything she said was 100% undeniable truth. In fact in another comment I pointed out that a LOT of "reading between the lines" was necessary to make sense of the post. All im saying is that because she has a controversial mental disorder, her behavior makes a poor example to support claims about typical social behavior (I.e., pointing out how bad her post is really doesn't prove anything. Autistic people are known for poor communication and articulation of ideas.)

The fact that I think dismissing the whole post as fake is a convenient cop-out to avoid actually discussing any of the issues presented in the post does not make me "naiive." I could just as easily argue that your "evidence" that her post is fake is an equally unlikely sum of improbable but convenient facts (How old does an account have to be before it's certifiably not a troll? A few days? Weeks? Months? What's the probability that it's an alt account? Or maybe she's just a new user altogether…

Because some of us actually read the post.

Guy was unhappy. Instead of manning up and ending the relationship to free himself, he continues to lie to autistic gf and stay in the relationship for "sex and food." Girl starts to find evidence that guy isn't being honest with her. Starts to become unhappy. Finds evidence to prove her claims; actually has the balls to confront her S/O about his dishonesty. S/O can't own up and take responsibility for his choices, autistic girl dumps him. OMG CRUCIFY HER! If we rate both of their behaviors, au…

I just see a lot of people here getting really defensive and ripping this girls post apart, and other than the fact that she 'kind of' implied TRP was to blame (but went on to talk about a lot of evidence to him being a real piece of work before TRP came into the situation), I don't know why everyone is mad enough to be calling her fat, putting all the blame on her, which doesn't really do anything disprove that this sub could have influenced her bf's shitty behavior. When in reality it seems th…

Autistic people learn a lot differently from people without autism. Sometimes they get 'stuck' on a hobby or task and go from beginner to proficiency in time frames unfeasible for most anyone else. As far as "Learning a new language for him," I believe what she probably meant was that the fact he was in her life influenced her to make the decision to move to another country, which resulted in a lot of other lifestyle changes she had to be willing to make. You're right, two years is a short time …

It's not unusual for people with autism spectrum disorders to be able to learn new skills at amazing rates. People with mental health issues are also more likely to accept mistreatment in a relationship out of fear they "can't do any better" Which isn't to say there aren't things SHE should do to improve her situation (looks like she just did one) but no reason to make her BF out to be an angel.

The girl is autistic. Not fat, not crying out for attention. Autistic. Edit - downvote me all you want, I just dont see how calling someone fat and unhappy just because you don't like their post isn't any different than them calling everyone who posts here sexist neckbeards. Anyway, if you look at some of the things her BF did, he looks like a legitimate shitbag. Feel free to argue that his being a shitbag had nothing to do with him subscribing to this sub. But saying the girl is fat and unhappy…
