In America: a fat tax Imagine 90+% of the population being fit/healthy. It wouldn't solve everything, but I bet the number of people in relationships would go up substantially.

Both. My life has revolved around self improvement for the past decade, but I know that women don't care at all about hard work, they just want someone who is naturally attractive. My hope is that one day someone will find me naturally attractive and all of the other things that I bring to the table will then set me apart from the other men she's attracted to. I'm not naive enough to think it's ever going to happen, but what else can I do in the meantime?

I don't view them as a scam per se, but they tend to focus overwhelmingly on factors that don't actually matter that much to the opposite sex. Sure, doing those things might help a little, but not enough to get you to that next level. For guys, all advice should start with how to maximize their visual presentation from the neck up. That is the absolute key to get your foot in the door, yet the bulk of advice given to men seems to center around things like confidence (a byproduct of the halo effe…

It's a really concerning trend that I'm seeing on these dating subs in general when looking at what women are saying to each other (and I don't even visit FDS). Like you said, it's always some variation of NEVER SETTLE. Guess what, 95+% of human beings settle in one way or another. You are probably not going to end up with a partner that you are attracted to in every possible way. That's not how real life works. And honestly, it's pretty terrible advice to actively encourage someone to disregard…

It seems that that they are largely unaware of how much their lack of a committed long term partner is product of themselves rather than the men they are meeting. I wouldn't necessarily say "deserve" because I don't detect a lot of malice on their side. The lack of introspection is a bit concerning though. I just find it so strange because if I was a woman that planned on having kids some day, I would be freaking out if I was 35 and single. That biological clock is rapidly ticking, which sucks, …

Not really sure, but I've definitely noticed the same. Another thing that sticks out from browsing it for a few weeks is that a large portion of them seem to be determined to hold it out for unicorn and/or they struggle to find anyone of the opposite sex attractive. I don't think they realize that these 'unicorns' they seek are probably already married. Another weird thing: I casually mentioned how difficult online dating was as a guy and they didn't seem to believe me, they just assumed it was …

I was going to say the same. Sure, if we're talking generations older than millennials, then it's not uncommon to see a less attractive male with a better looking partner. But millennial or younger? If either is more attractive, then it is practically always the male.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
