I hate this more in the side of the gf because the man should also have the willpower to make decisions and know if he is simply an orbiter. In essence yes, she needs to realize that in order to improve she needs to start doing things. Too much sleep (more than 9 hours per day) has many major negative health impacts including perpetuating the depression. The lack of food and low activity also causes low energy. For me I started working out daily, eating properly and not sleeping excessively, which caused me to feel better enough to get working again.

Has she been diagnosed and is she going to a therapist? There are many resources and ways to bring yourself up enough to function. A big thing I found helped me is writing down levels of depression and what helps bring it down from there to a functional level. It is societally based concepts with a religious basis. Personally I let my virginity go in order to experience it and to avoid that shaming. It may be a psychological thing, but I just don’t get the same pleasure from it as the women does. I still get hit on regularly but I reject them as the reason I am successful and in good shape and have interesting hobbies or travel is because I’m spending my time and money on myself. It cannot provide human emotion, you cannot experience the same passion. It does not have free will. Is there a flavour more bland than vanilla?
