You should not be talking frivolously to women in the work place. Without the OP specifying more about the divorce and legalities and specifically jurisdiction we are probably wasting our time on this. However IME spending half of that money on legal fees would almost certainly have turned out a better result.

You're in fantasy world there mate. You'd need about 100 times what he had in that account to last and everyone who works out your on the run will have it in for you. Sure he could have spent a year in Brazil or whereever blowing it on hookers and blow but when the money ran out what does he do then?
