Believe me if things hadn't have ended the way they did I would have done already. But remembering what happened made me feel even worse than the feeling that made me consider it in the first place :(

I've heard some people rate Kenneth Play although I've not gone through anything of his in detail.

It cracks me up, back in the 90s I remember meeting people I liked, arranging to go for a drink with them the next day. They'd either show up or stand you up but nobody had cellphones and so you just had to take it on faith they'd be there. We didn't have SMS, hardly anyone had email, so the thought of 'breadcrumbing' communication between setting a date up and going on it , would be highly unlikely to happen. Nowadays people get so bent out of shape when they see a message has been read but not…

I generally subscribe to this philosophy but I'm not sure that everyone shares it. Just last week I matched with a girl on Bumble. We had a fun exchange of messages over a couple of evenings and arranged (on the Tuesday night) to meet on the Thursday. On the Thursday morning, very early like 7am, she messages "are we still on for this evening". Now I don't normally get up until 11 or so anyway as I work later shifts so I didn't see the message until maybe midday, whereupon to which I replied tha…

That is helpful up to a point but worth adding being able to hold court and be interesting for a few minutes at a stretch is very useful in group situations, in the context of seduction/pickup/making friends and influencing people, it's far more important to encourage them to talk about themselves and be a good listener. Help them reframe things that are upsetting them in a positive way, give them affirmation and appreciation. And be gentle and non-judgemental so they feel safe opening up to you…

There's a lot of truth in that. I think it would help a lot of guys to understand why they struggle to embrace it, because once they do, the road map to change will be a lot clearer. Most of my friends who are naturals and attract women without having to even think about game, seduction etc were not brought up in environments with a lot of shame round sex. Unfortunately I grew up in a fairly sex-negative environment due to generational trauma, my parents outlook was that I should avoid any kind …

What can I say, I got way more after 30, and things are getting better still now I'm 43. If you look after yourself and stay in shape, it doesn't really matter what you do, or even who you live with. If you're in control of how to frame potentially awkward aspects of your life, it's easy to avoid letting those things affect seduction. Sure, it may make you less attractive as a provider to settle down with but giving off provider vibes is totally counterproductive when it comes to seduction, you'…

Not what I found when I visited. American girls went nuts for my accent. They would ask me to say things about them, and squeal with excitement.

Ack, yeah same with me. By 18 I had internalised "I am fat and unattractive" and missed out on so much as a result of that. Ugh, the feels....

Yes and no. They tend to need a lot of alcohol in their systems, until they're drunk they're quite reserved and generally prefer the guy to lead the interaction and open them. My time in Germany and Netherlands, on the other hand... Women à lot more outgoing and more likely to open you if they like what they see. Got way more action in Germany from German women, whereas in London almost all the women I got with were from overseas.

They're saying that because they want clients. They are telling all guys what they want to hear. If a man thinks it's his looks holding him back and a PUA offers to help him score despite his looks, his interest will be piqued.

Not strictly. When I was in my 20s, girls my age were not interested in me, but 'cougars' very much were. Now I'm in my mid 40s I still don't get much interest from women my age but I am doing well with the 20-something girls (not complaining about that lol).

But the problem lies in the fact that people don't really realise they're doing it. It's almost like an instinctive behaviour. A kind of default mentality to assume people are assholes until they prove otherwise but that's down to conditioning as much as anyone. People throw up walls, it's the society we live in. Part of being effective with women is allowing yourself to remain unohased by those walls and allow them to be more open, warm and ultimately have more fun with you - even if you're not…

Agreed. Begging for likes and subscribes is only cool if the person manages to be funny about how they do it. Otherwise, if the content is good, viewers tend to like and subscribe anyway.

This isn't unusual at all with women. A lot of this can be because if you go to some tacky nightclub and every chode there is drenched in it, it's like a chemical assault. So, the key is to smell "good" and although I am a big fan of certain male fragrances and do use them sparingly, I also make sure I smell good without needing to add aftershave/cologne. I use a decent range of male grooming products that have subtle aroma based on natural oils and woods. You don't notice it unless you're reall…

Well, it's not a one size fits all scenario. I'm 43 at the moment, my last long-term relationship (which lasted over seven years) ended 2 years ago but there was a 20 year age gap (me older). I'm currently dating a 21 year old. I like dating 20somethings but not just any 20something, it's usually the 'old soul' types who seem to have wisdom and experience beyond their years, however they also tend to have more sense of optimism and possibility vs women my age who can be very jaded about life.Wha…

That's partially true. I guess if you wanted to get all bootcampy about it, the thing to do it go get a hotel room in a different city, spend a long weekend there just to try and get girls back to the room, then yeah you can go all out and take big risks, but then again if you're looking to improve your game on social nights out, pull women in your home town etc etc and you don't have the luxury of living in a big city then you absolutely do run the risk of seeing them, or their friends again.

The haircut and dressing better, and owning a good look instantly bumps you from a three to a five, if not higher. And you have a good, well paying job, not a crappy one where you're exploited. Own that shit also.

This is where the Korean manufacturers seem to be smashing it out of the park at the moment - long warranties. Buy a three year old and they'll fix anything that breaks for at least another three. And objectively speaking the cars are genuinely a lot more engaging and less generally hateful than they used to be. I'd be happy with the new Hyndai i30N or Kia Stinger GT as a daily.

...which of course flies in the face of the usual 'work double hours at your minimum wage job so you can afford to invest' type advice. Assuming your employer even has the work available let alone desire to pay you anything above what you already get.

What you have just said about BMW/Merc is true of almost ALL marques nowadays. Cars are built to be leased or 'sold' on hire purchase/finance over time rather than bought outright for cash. All cars are designed to perform flawlessly for 'life' i.e. the time it takes to be paid off in full, or the extended warranty period. Anyone keeping a new car after the warranty period has lapsed is going to be inm for big bills at some point. Once out of warranty it will be a money pit as everything starts …

idk, if 1250 a week plus room and board in a mansion is 'poorly paid' then what the fuck is 9 bucks an hour order picking in Amazon warehouse and still having to pay rent?

Well, I'm a UK worker not a US worker and I've been an active member of the workforce since the late 90s so there have always been plenty of women in the workforce but what I have noticed is that the average annual wage, and by that I mean the annual wage earned by the 'average' worker has remained stagnant since about 2000-2001, and in some cases actually decreased. The starting wage for university graduates in 1999 was about £19k, in 2019 it's about £23k. So already, £5k increase in 20 years d…

This seems highly implausible. OK, an 'average' nest egg figure of 32k could be believable, purely because only a few really hugely fat cats need to have a billion in the bank for the mean of all savings accounts to be fairly high. But when the average annual wage is taken into account which I'm sure in Ireland isn't going to be more than around 20-25k, that would mean that one in five Irish adults has the equivalent of two year's salary saved up... I find that highly unlikely. Then of course fa…

I almost feel that it's deliberate that kids are kept fiscally illiterate in mainstream education, otherwise there'd be too many CEOs and not enough labour. That is the sad fact of life. Unfortunately the capitalist system requires there to be a critical mass of hungry people ready to give up >45 hours a week busting their humps doing strenuous physical or mindnumbing busy work in order for a few to get exponentially richer.

Actually I mostly suck at investing and so forth but one thing I am quite good at is finding cars that have bottomed out in terms of depreciation, running them for a year or two and eventually selling for what I paid, or in some cases a fair chunk more. The caveat(s) being that 1) you need to have a clue about cars in general, 2) you NEED some DIY mechanical skills but even if you do, 3) you will still have to fork over some money for servicing, maintaining, consumables and unexpected incidental…

It seems to me the author of this is way too fixated on other people's BMI to even give a shit about genuine human interaction.

As an autist myself, yeah, that's pretty much nailed it. What's basic instinct for the majority of people, needs a fucking operating manual for me to be able to negotiate. whilst meanwhile I speak about five languages fluently more or less by accident.

Honestly that is the hardest thing with flirting, if you're good at it, you can say things that are verging on the downright outrageous and it won't seem creepy at all, but some people can make a simple 'hello' seem downright sinister.

I've noticed this too, OLD is basically pointless in my home town but then can prove fertile hunting grounds in other nearby. It is ultimately a microcosm of my home town; it's a university city with a lot of 'sporty' girls and a lot of very 'glam' girls. And a lot of older divorcees with kids. But it's also a fairly conservative environment and a bit of a cultural dead zone. Also there is a shortage of decent-paying career jobs, meaning there aren't that many singles with disposable income whic…

You're never too old to be a gigging DJ, OK, maybe if you want to be a famous international club DJ it helps to be 20-30something but there are plenty of guys on the festival circuit in their 40s and 50s and even older. Especially round the more 'hippy' scenes like psy trance etc. I've been on hiatus for a while due to various factors but I do miss performing and at some point will be making a 'comeback'.

Exactly this, for many years my sticking points weren't approach, or getting numbers or even going on dates. I subscribed to the "if you build it they will come" mentality. I had a good job, dressed well, looked smart. I was a fairly popular DJ, organised parties and club nights and yes, I was surrounded by beautiful women, many of whom were single and clearly DTF. But somehow, none of that translated into me managing to get anywhere at all with the women I was actually interested in, even if at…
