About your first point- it’s a fairly small office with a laid back manager who employs on recommendations and contacts, as opposed to a big corporation that uses recruitment agencies and has a HR department. My father knows the manager well so I’d Be surprised that I’d get in trouble for the guys comments, but of course I can see now why it may be an issue for a more common workplace- I’d imagine the male colleague would act differently too. My post wasn’t about knowing what to do to stop HR or…

I wouldn’t care usually but I don’t want to continue working with a woman who thinks I’m attracted to her- I just don’t want to give her the satisfaction after her probable motives by mentioning her boyfriend won’t be happy. Although ignoring her unless it’s required for the role might make her realise in time that the male colleague was lying.

yeah it would only really be possible to bring up if alone in a room and it is inappropriate to bring up in front of others. plus the porn part of it is the key point to make it seem like i can back up it wasn't said. Better forgotten.

well it's a difficult situation about the male co worker. I'm kind of on a temp to perm role and he is a key person to impress and keep on good terms with. It's a fairly small company with about 12 people working there and I doubt there is a HR department. About the girl, you are correct, it's tempting to knock her satisfaction from the encounter, but if she takes offence then I guess it could backfire with a false allegation or something like that perhaps?
