Yes, really. I'm not even arguing that that is the case, it is just one of my doubts that I am bringing it to attention. I'm the same way. My car gets me where I need to go, gets good mileage, has lots of room, and is easy to work on and cheap to fix. I do understand the appeal to fast cars though. I see those as toys rather than transportation. If I ever have money to blow I will probably buy something fast. I don't see the point in going out and spending 50k on new suv though that's just stupid.

I think a key question is the correlation between physical and psychological neotenous traits. For example, asians tend to be more physically neotenous than africans, while africans tend to rank lower in intelligence (I know touchy subject.
