Hence why I believe they were insincere attempts.

I have a friend who meets 100% of these criteria. Born to a single mother in a college dorm room, his father was absent in his life until adolescence. Forget avoiding borderline women, avoid all borderline people at all costs. For a while, I considered him my best friend. We came from the same metro area, we both enjoyed the same hobbies, and even shared vices. We reacted to physical hardship similarly. As we became closer, his borderline tendencies began to show. I won't give examples, but beli…

I showed the Project Veritas videos to a left-leaning friend of mine, and he immediately dismissed the videographic confessions as "edited nonsense by a discredited hack." Yet Trump talks about fucking women or "sexually assaulting" them like everybody does, and the mainstream media shouts from the mountaintops. Paid DNC operatives confessing on video to rigging elections doesn't even merit a footnote. The fact that the mainstream media has barely picked up on this story lends credence to the cl…

Possible, but I've heard more stories of Marines and sailors getting their asses kicked because 3 of them think they can take on a way bigger group, or something to that effect. Happens a lot more than you'd think - 7th fleet keeps that shit on the down low if they can. There might be a bar full of complete pussies, but do you really want to take on 15 guys, even if they're all weak and small? Even worse, you'd have to eventually deal with the police (but you could probably pay them off).

It's likely that OP has observed this but simply not commented on it, but unlike in the west, where there exists a devolving but at least existent form of social etiquette, the "bad" in China is greatly amplified by the absence of such a thing. An example of terrible social etiquette by western standards is during the 2008 Summer Olympics, when indigenous Chinese would simply take shits in line at the games, much to the horror of the foreigners in attendance. In China, I've seen women publicly b…

I had an instance of alcohol-induced acute pancreatitis. (I never drank much. By any person's standards, I was not only a moderate drinker, but also a lightweight. Evidently, I lack alcohol dehydrogenase.) The doctors told me I shouldn't ever drink again. For those don't know anything about pancreatitis, it is often fatal (~40% fatality) and enormously painful. You can imagine this changed my social life, as nightlife is nearly universally centered around drinking. I still go out, though. Alcoho…

That explains my plateau... I gain fat pretty easily, so I'm more or less cutting 60% of the time. After my first extended cut (17% - 11.4%, 65% fat loss, BodPod verified. Yes, I know it's not the most accurate metric but you gotta work with what you have), I thought I had the technique nailed. After some not so successful lean massing some months later, I was back at 15% (and considerably stronger), but after 6 months on another cut I simply can't get back down to sub-12%, even when I scale for…

My biggest problem with the military (and it is a oft-repeated complaint) is that despite being advertised as a meritocracy, it is actually a jobs program for minorities. By minorities, I mean women. Too often will you see women arbitrarily and undeservedly placed in higher tiers of the chain of command for the sole purpose of "diversity," when in fact their path to that position was paved by lowered standards and quotas. Just be sure never to be a room with a military woman with the door closed…

This may seem off putting to some, but I'd recommend eating the exact same meals and food for a couple weeks, just to figure out your actual TDEE and then adjust accordingly from there. It gets stale, but once you figure out a combination to hit your macros, results will be guaranteed. Assuming, of course, you don't deviate.

I actually stayed at Podshare in LA this January. In fact, this girl, Elvina, was the one who was running it. The hostel-savvy in the audience are likely aware that American hostels are few and far between. What's more, the few that are around are not very social. I was in town for a 3 day jaunt, so this hostel seemed perfect. Cheap, social, located near where I needed to be (downtown). Don't knock it till you try it. For what it's worth, it's a lot better than the other hostelling options in Am…

I encourage anybody who strongly feels that masculine sentiment in the Orient will "rescue" them from the doings of progressivism to take a month long trip to China. You probably won't want to ever go back. China is growing economically, politically, and militarily, but it is in many places still under developed. In culture, it is destitute. Even in Beijing, the shining capital of China, decrepit hutongs wither at the feet of steel monoliths. The men strut, bloated bellies protruding forward as …

If it's cheap I order a diet coke. Otherwise, yes, I order a water. If anybody asks, I explain that I can't drink because I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Fortunately, nobody asks.

It might damage your ego, but that's just more motivation to improve yourself. There are many resources for self improvement - namely the rest of the subreddit. Moreover, it improves your ability to do so in the future.

With all the recent media coverage of firearms related incidences, guns are flying off of shelves in Illinois. I went to a gun store two days ago and the cabinets were 90% empty. The guy at the counter told me they've had better sales in the last 5 weeks than in the previous year. Perhaps capitalizing on this fuckery is the way to go.

I'm (20) a Chinese American visiting Beijing for a couple days. I speak fluent Chinese so I can pass for a local. I went out in Sanlitun (foreigner bar and nightlife district) a couple nights ago and took a girl home. She was 23, which, as some of you might know, is close to the age beyond which women are considered "sheng nu," or leftover women. As far as I'm aware, I did not break frame, exhibit neediness, or exude any weakness while I was with her. It was Sunday when we woke up. We had a quic…
