Let me ask you this…should men contribute to half of all bills regardless of difference in income? Let’s say this tho….if splitting the bills 50/50 leaves on of the contributors with 0 dollars….is that the outcome you’re wanting?

It’s not fear. It’s lazy, but I get that perhaps men have so many dates planned and don’t have time to actually have conversations. If you’re trying to give her a reality check question because she has high demands then ok….but state what you consider worthy of being on your table instead of wasting time asking what she brought. Just my opinion

It’s how it’s asked and presented. Asking someone what their perceived worth is feels pointless. You’ll interpret it based on your opinions and own values. Instead it would help if you have questions that bring out those answers you’re seeking. You’ll seem interested in her and she will be more willing to share her values and opinions. The approach of “what do you being to the table” lacks emotional intelligence strategy

Because a man can decide to not stick around. If a guy decides to leave before the kid is born....its not like he just magically appears when the kid is born. In those cases...duh you'd end up with a single mother

Sexual attraction can be instant or it could be gradual. Depending on the values a woman places on certain features or aspect of a man. For me, I can see a man and know he’s my type and attractive and that’s that. I can also get to know someone and gradually form an attraction. It’s not clear cut and most people really can’t recite why they work the way they do…we can only assume that’s how attraction works for us.

Here in Japan we ( women) will put some towards the bill and the guy will pay for the rest. There's no set % but usually do 20%

If the sex is good then women have a sex drive. A woman won’t be driven for a “meh” experience and a man who can’t make her cum.

I completely agree. But we also can’t forget that men 45 and older can experience decreased fertility and put their partners at risk for increased pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia and preterm birth. Infants born to older fathers were found to be at higher risk of premature birth, late still birth, low Apgar scores, low birth weight, higher incidence of newborn seizures and birth defects such as congenital heart disease and cleft palate. As they matured, these ch…

My point was that men have a wall too, albeit later than women, and that men need to stop acting like they can safely reproduce with one foot in the grave. There are risks all around, one is not a better option than the other

Sure but it’s not impossible. In any case waiting that long to have a kid will have fertility impacts. Again you can have a kid at 65 as a man, BUT while women may have a harder time getting pregnant a man that waits until later means the baby might have higher odds of getting a genetic disorder. As men age, they are more likely to have gene changes, or mutations, in their sperm. If men have a baby at an older age, they have higher chances of passing on a genetic disorder. Comparing men and wome…

Actually men do have a wall. Male fertility generally starts to reduce around age 40 to 45 years when sperm quality decreases. Aged sperm also contributes to birth defects. The urge for women to have babies before 30 is because women lose a significant amount of eggs around that time. It’s a gradual decline but men and women both hit a similar wall at 40

Male. Birth. Control.

Sure, I understand, but I answered your question right? Regardless of how many dates can be lost...my response (in which you responded to) was in response to a scenario in which the guy, supposedly well off, decides to bring up splitting the check when it's time to pay. IF you are going to suggest that your date pays half, you should do it prior to the date.

Yes. It was back in college. We all were trying to make it right? He wanted to go out and said he was tight on cash but still wanted to get to know me. I suggested we split the check and do something simple. I suppose it’s never phased me.

Well I am a woman and if a man is set on the bill being split then I’d like to be prepared. I’ve personally never had to pay but I’ve split many times. I’d be willing if that was a desire of my date.

The division to split the check should be discussed before going. Surprising someone that might assumed (whether that’s wrong or right) you would be paying only sets up an awkward situation.

O% because I’ve never considered a man a loser. If you want someone to be able to quantify a %, setting some parameters could help. What do YOU consider a loser to be? Living at home over 25? Annual income under X amount?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/22 05:53 PM

Exactly. The word “loser” is subjective. The personal perspective or preferences of an individual is going to vary based on what that person perceives to someone who is “winning” vs “losing”. Your question invites subjective answers because “loser” isn’t clearly defined.

No because that’s immature.

If by loser you mean someone that isn’t succeeding in life, you can probably find some statistics on men who have failed to launch and establish themselves. In that case, marrying someone who can’t take care of their basic needs is not going to be value added to my life. Any woman who uses the term “loser” to define a man has some maturing to do herself before she should even consider marriage. Edited for formatting.

I mean I can only go on assumptions since I don't live there and am not aware of the culture norms/implications. Marriage risk/opportunity between the sex's varies from country to country, culture, religion. So if your post is specific to risk Indian men take...then I can't give a knowledgeable answer unfortunately. On the reward side...if you marry, and it's a good marriage. Everyone's needs are met....risk is kind of arbitrary

Marriage can be risk for both parties. If the example is India...her reputation is ruined after being divorced. He gets to go get re-married as he wants to.

I might find them attractive because they are physically fit, but the profession is a turn off.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
