It may help you gain perspective to look to the past, where women were literal property of men. Were the privledges equal then? -11	Tweet of the year This argument boils down to a statement that an oppressed group wants the power of not being oppressed but can't handle the responsibility, so they should keep being oppressed. As an example, the arguments for slavery usually centered around the statement that without slavery no one would hire blacks and they wouldnt be able to handle the responsibility of supporting their family without a slave owner, therefore slavery should be allowed.
