However, I would just add the nuance that there are subtleties that are hard to articulate that would make assertiveness unattractive. For example, a woman coworker once asked me out and I was flattered but put off because of the way she did it - it was sort of an entitlement which projected “of course you’re going to say yes” that turned me off.
