He dresses well but he looks like a total tool. I would doubt anything that comes out of his mouth just by looking at him. So I should say dressing well is half the game, how you act after you start dressing well is the other half. Too confident and you seem like a tool [taking this many photos and pretending some of them weren't posed for... total douchelord vibes]... but if you are withdrawn, no one will approach you anyway. Confidence, not arrogance. I would say cultivating your own sense of …

See, it isn't always about other people though. If I am walking somewhere and I have to be there by a certain time, for example, I'm not paying anyone I pass ANY attention, attractive or not. Sometimes I make a point just to look ahead of me regardless - sometimes it's easier as a woman to not make eye contact because that can be seen as an invitation and a lot of the time, we don't actually WANT to be approached. Especially if we are on a mission somewhere. I just wanted to point out that one s…

Also a fair point - and if someone is dressed really well? Game over, I can't help but stare at them. Some unsolicited seduction advice on that note: work out, dress well (fitted clothes), fake it til you make it. Confidence is sexy, giving a shit about your appearance is sexy. Even an ugly dude who takes care of his appearance has game.

Fair point, just suggesting that a change of environment might be a more applicable situation to most people. However, if a girl is staring at you as she is walking by for a while, you are right in that assumption, she probably does find you attractive.

Not to throw a wrench in your logic here, but I don't look at people when I'm walking around most of the time because I don't want to talk to anyone [edit: especially at work, but in the evenings, I make eye contact with men and women equally] ... usually the longer a guy stares at me, the more likely I am to give him the "do you want to die?" glare. Regardless of how attractive he is. Honestly if he's nerdy looking, I'm more likely to be empathetic. I tend to write bros off more than nerdy guys…

Tone is such a subjective thing. If you are feeling defensive, you are inclined to think someone is being offensive. People seem to overcomplicate everything, tbh. It seemed like a silly question to ask because "literally anything" was meant to be translated as: What do you like to do in your spare time? Invite her to do that with you. Could be playing videogames, walking in the park, people watching - I can think of a million things to do and if you are nice about it and ask her to get dressed …

Catch a movie, go ice skating, go to the library and study together, go to a cafe for coffee and desserts, go on a hike. Literally anything. Is this a serious question?

Your positivity and radiance is so apparent from your post, I am very happy you found some lady friends and grateful for the suggestion - I never even thought about going to ladies-only classes at the gym. Brilliant!

Would my answer really matter? You take from the few things I've said as '[my] understanding,' and because it does not align with your ideologies, I must not have read any of the sidebar. News flash: people can read and comprehend things they disagree with. So, even though I'm sure it won't matter, yes, I've read most of the sidebar. But you coming in here and assuming everything you do about this process only validates what everyone else is thinking....... She didn't read any of the sidebar Tha…

Considering I didn't define 'inferior,' I'm not sure on what grounds you're making that claim. Women aren't superior, they are treated as superior. That's the fundamental realization that sends most of you to RP in the first place - realizing your pretty little snowflake is a human with often, unpredictable emotions. You kind of said it yourself - people are reactive by nature. Only with training does anyone learn to control the pettiness that they WANT to inflict on someone for wronging them in…

HAH. I have read them - they are the only reason I still bother with this sub, tbh. Every now and then, I see a glimmer of hope in an ex-idiot who came to the light and found a way to communicate with his SO instead of manipulating her... but the vast majority of the squabble on here is really, really disheartening, if not foreboding. Thank genetics for my superior judge of character because I'd be damned if I ever married someone who thought they could get what they want from me instead of tryi…

That's really shitty and honestly, I'm sorry to hear that. I can't really wrap my head around why this happens to so many of the people that end up here, but overarching generalizations about why an entire gender is inferior don't do anything to better anyone.

How can a marriage without communication work? Please explain to me how that works. And why divorce isn't the better option instead of cheating?!

I'm sorry - WHAT?! If this were a woman talking about possibly cheating on her husband, a metric shit-ton of you pinheads would be going on about how AWALT, or whatever other genuinely psychotic babble that you poor excuses for evolution have to say when an evil feeeemale hurts you. YOU, OP, even have the audacity to pull that "AWALT" shit in your own post - ABOUT POSSIBLY CHEATING ON HER. Are you really that fucking thick? Let me just humor you, if for nothing else, than for "argument's sake." …

Just came here to point out that this is ONE study published over ten years ago with a total of 204 participants that were probably screened to minimize differences/diversity... Notice it's also an association study, meaning there is no real objective measurement that can support the conclusions the article, and now this discussion, are coming to. Sorry, but it's just not scientific to use outdated/poorly conducted social psychology experiments ("research") to support the MR movement - you need …

What underlies your funny-guy game? Tangentially, can you, as an RP male, have fun at your own expense without losing face to others? Just curious.

Ever heard of 'selective memory?' - If something sucked enough, you can make yourself forget. Trauma patients do it all the time.

Just gonna point out that you took this guy a long way down on a slippery slope JUST to try to make him eat his words. He was making a point that not all men care about the NUMBER of previous sexual partners, as long as a woman was comfortable with her sexuality. Him not being attracted to women who slept with people to feel better about themselves is a metaphorical equivalent to you not being attracted to a woman for having whatever number you'd consider high sexual partners. The NAMALT still s…

Hmm... most things, except for the flirting with other women to validate your desirableness almost seemed like wise, genuine RP knowledge... What will you do when other women no longer find you attractive? How will you be validated then? Surely your wife, who is having your children and still cares about how YOU perceive her, couldn't fill that role for you and have that be enough?

I like that you've addressed that you need equal contributions in your relationship - you're right, if she's a SAHM, there really isn't much of a reason for you to have to be equally responsible for cleaning and such as she has the whole eight hour work day to take care of household responsibilities - have you tried just having that conversation bluntly? While I don't condone gender roles (she cleans and cooks and you chop wood), if those chores are things both of you would prefer to do, take th…

Men who get blowjobs are happy men! A relationship with oral sex on both sides is a good relationship.

I definitely agree here! I know an INTP who I would describe as sigma but I'm not sure I'd say 'with alpha-ish characteristics,' I think sigmas are just a little more resistant to fitting in rigidly in a social hierarchy and are content to just teeter in and out of being authoritative/decisive when they need to and letting someone else take the ropes most of the time otherwise.

Wow - I must say I am a little taken aback that so many men share this perspective. For something so RP, it's polarized and a little emotionally defensive. I can understand a little bit of what must lie beneath these views... Obviously, I'm not a dude so I don't know what it's like to have a male's mentality, but the truth is that people - not just women - can be vindictive and will use others to make their life more secure. Financially, emotionally, academically, etcetera. I am a woman - a youn…
