I just want to know why she thought her ex was an ass. If it had to do with him being his own man with his own voice, then OP is right that she is going to be unable to find a man at all. The problem is that Carey sent the sex video to another person. If smith had sent it to Carey and Carey kept it, it would have been fine because that is just Carey having video of himself having sex with a consenting partner. To be fair, it takes socialization to realize that certain acts have dire consequences. Yes, people are empathic in general, but maybe some teenagers don't understand how badly they can hurt someone by getting a person so drunk she cannot consent to having sex and the perpetrator forcing themselves on the victim. Second, the school did everything it could within its ability and within the information available made a good decision. My question is, if what they are saying is true and the students have been bullying them because of their rape event. Would that not show that the group of students that are bullying them have a microcosm of rape culture? What I see is quite a bit of hysteria…

Let me start by saying I completely disagree with this frame of mind, and I absolutely despise this anti-sex idea. He is showing off the women on his shirt. The women are merely sex objects for his desires. Contrast that with the fact the women who wear that clothing are in control of themselves. I am merely stating there is a disconnect with the allegory. I completely and wholeheartedly disagree and am pissed off at how the feminists have ripped Dr. Taylor a new one for no reason.

I think it has more to do with a man owning the women on his shirt rather than how they're dressed that they have a problem with. He is wearing a shirt that has nearly nude women on it, and he was 'abusing' their nudity, he wasn't nearly nude himself. If he had worn something akin to what the women on his shirt were wearing I think that would be a direct comparison if they shamed him for that.

I guess it might be because I'm from Oklahoma, where our women's and gender studies have included men with women as victims of violent and sexual crimes, that I'm seeing mostly the Liberal feminists that you speak of.
