"Violent videos" can mean anything. You're skirting around the point. Let's say murder then. Whether it be produced with the intent to distribute or not. Whether it was paid for or made money from advertising or not. Whether it was made by a mass shooter who wanted fame. Whether it was made by somebody else featuring the mass shooter. Are you saying child porn is a victimless crime? If possessing it is a crime, and the possessor of the video is seen as victimizing a child, even if the viewer didn't pay for the video in any way, because the viewer is seen as creating demand for a product, then if you possess a video of a violent crime, you are guilty of victimizing someone, creating demand, etc. and you should be eligible for some pretty serious charges if we were to treat it the same way as we treat things that are sexual.
