I hate the label, personally - I think it's inherently sexist. I don't think it's fair to call what's supposed to be a gender equality movement something that favors one gender. The restraining order suggestions were among the more helpful ones, in my opinion. My frustration is only directed at people who were saying I was a troll and calling me stupid. He can't change his locks because he rents an apartment, but I'm pretty sure he told me his keys say "DO NOT COPY" on them. He said he never even gave her a copy anyway and kept his on himself at all times. He's moving to California in less than a month, so hopefully we just don't have to worry about it.

I checked the laws for OK in regard to that and it says both parties need to be aware they're being recorded. Apparently he has a female friend who he called but she didn't want to come over, which pisses me off a little. I would be witness for anyone in a second in a situation like this. Luckily he's actually moving back to California within the next month and a half or so. I don't think he has a lease... I think his landlord does everything month by month under the table with his tenants. He lives in a pretty shady complex. Even if he's leaving pretty soon, it's still a problem that she's there for any length of time, and the longer she stays, the bigger a problem it is.

I looked up the recording laws regarding conversations in OK and apparently it's one of those states where both parties have to be consenting in the recording otherwise it's useless. He has nowhere to go. He moved there with his ex a couple years ago not knowing anyone else there. When they broke up, the only people he knew were his coworkers. Most of his friends and family are in California. Unfortunately in Oklahoma it's not so easy to be homeless; the temperatures can drop to below freezing at night and they don't really have any public funding for public transportation or homeless shelters.

Hey! You guys, I think the point here is that we all agree that this act of violence was completely wrong and disgusting. We shouldn't have to dissect anyone's argument and prove them wrong when we all believe the same thing: this bitch was crazy, and she should be very harshly punished for what she did. You guys both agree with each other in that respect, right? What else is there to prove? That one person is smarter/more eloquent/informed than the other? Come on :] That's not the point, yo.

Women like these (Catherine Becker, Pam, other violent man-haters) are giving good women a bad name. I'm so sorry all you guys have to read this and know that she's probably not going to be adequately sentenced. If a man genitally mutilated a woman, this would be much bigger news and he would get a harsh sentence. It's not fair to all of you. Sorry :[

Think about it like this: if the tables were turned and you were treating her like this, you would be considered by society an abusive husband - emotionally, and borderline physically - and you would get a lot of crap for it. Not many people would consider it abuse when a woman does this to a man, but it is. Abuse is gender neutral. GTFO of that relationship, and if you can't bring yourself to do it, I would recommend getting a counselor to help you.
