I wouldn’t call this racist or sexist to hit a woman, or a black man. I would just this an asshole move. Unless the guy is hitting someone and says “I hate women/blacks” then why would anyone automatically pull the bigot card.

My hot take on all this is Depp probably did put hands on her multiple times throughout their relationship. Not punched her or slapped her. But pushed her and held her down to stop her from abusing him. This is one of the times where being a woman and the act itself are hand in hand to me. The guy is CLEARLY much bigger than the woman. The act itself is despicable and the fact someone twice her size did it makes it worse. Women and men are not equal in terms of physical stature. Violence against women can typically be worse than a woman vs a man. Especially when the size difference is this vast.

I wouldn’t say they were both “victims”. So far Depp appears to be a victim of abuse. The only thing Amber Heards team is trying to do is claim that having a yelling match is abuse. That’s not abuse and anyone who claims arguments can be classified as abuse is opening the door for plenty of “victims” to come forward. Men or women. I would only call something verbal abuse if it was mostly one sided and they were being berated with threats and demeaning insults.

His victory will silence those who claim abuse and lie. In the end, it will be a good thing that false allegations won’t be as prevalent.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
