Umm...what? I'm saying that men shouldn't have to register for the draft in order to vote. I'm saying that having women register for the draft is moving toward equality in the wrong direction, that men should be given the enumerated right to vote without having to sign up for involuntary military service. How am I a misandrist? Or did you forget the /s tag?

That's a great anecdote. I remember getting a card saying I had a limited amount of time to register or I would lose my license, my right to vote, and my college eligibility (I turned 18 early in my senior year). My younger sisters? They got coupons for free stuff at the mall.

Right. I think this is headed in the wrong direction. The right to vote should be enumerated to everyone without any special conditions. I think men should be released from being required to register for the draft in order to vote as opposed to requiring women to register so they can. I don't think OP was making a NTS statement; I think what s/he meant was that they're trying to get away with criminal activity and victimization by calling it "activism," and feminism is an easy title to hide behind because of the gynocentrism of most of the western world. I could be wrong... Either way I agree with your statement. Just pointing out that I don't necessarily think that was OP's intended meaning.

Yeah, it's a hypocritical stance to take on hypocrisy. In the next statement she goes on to say something along the lines of "and that's why men think it's okay to rape. As a matter if fact, no one is allowed to bring in anything, sans medical equipment. Usually establishments make exceptions for women's purses as a courtesy, but in this case they have banned all bags, period. Good point. Counter point: I could see a general reaction to a lot of these figures being something similar to, "Well, if it's that bad for men, women must have it waaay worse!" Hence, including the numbers as a reference to head off any fallacious argumentation before it starts. I think she gets a little patronizing in the middle when she draws a parallel between understanding men and understanding children. It almost felt like she was saying, "men don't actually have problems, like children, but we shouldn't hold it against them, like children." I don't believe this is what she intended, but that part kind of ruined it for me.

It mentioned that some of the boys were 18, which is who I was referring to. And besides, does a sex-offense go away at 18 when committed as a minor? I was under the impression that the sex offender registry is for life, though I am admittedly not well read on the subject.

Also, the boys now risk being placed on a sex offender list, which will likely follow them for life. "Karma" < Permanent official record. Especially when many establishments are forbidden by policy or law from hiring or enrolling someone on a sex offender registry for any reason.
