seriously, a lot of it depends on the field and experience. source: i don't have a college degree of any sort and make a six figure salary in the US.

this is so accurate. a couple of years ago i was venting to my supervisor (more of a peer type of relationship, he was just in charge of passing down information from higher ups and accountability) about how these chicks in the building would watch my social media stories like hawks every single day, within minutes usually of posting something, never interacted with my "permanent" posts, and ignored me in person. to the degree of one time i was walking down the hallway with a male coworker, one …

he's my bestfriends boyfriend and treading that ground has been difficult as is..... but yes, i was getting very over the conversation. i've met very very few men who i would really call feminists. most of the ones who claim they are still mansplain it and disagree with simple concepts, even in all their WoKeNeSs. it's annoying, it's intolerable, but there really does have to be an answer. if that answer just purely comes down to men being raised to be emotionally cognitive and empathetic thinke…

on friday night i went out with two of my best friend's, one of the bfs, another couple, and a guy friend of ours. our guy friend and the bf had both listened to the FDS podcast featuring Dr. Gail Dines and her discussion of pornography and both of them had issues with how the message was relayed. the bestie who dates the guy also listened to it, and she and him had a (private) discussion about it. about how the podcast isn't made for him, or men, but it can be used as a tool for them to open th…

i used to be (/still am?) the same way. i realized in my early 20s that i had NO CLUE how to actually cook. i ate out once a day and that was it. i was extremely malnourished and unhealthy and i decided that was pathetic because i was a grown ass woman and i should be able to feed myself. so i went through the painstaking trial and error of learning to cook, and i had some extreme flops (re: absolutely inedible) but made progress by taking pride in my successes. now, all of my friends and family…

years ago i had roommates that were a married couple. i was friends with the woman, and she was LEAGUES above this guy. all he had was his height and physique. she had a masters, a career, and worked out every single day and asked me to help her learn how to cook. he only used paper plates. even though i had free access to all of my kitchenware he thought having to rinse and put plates/bowls in the dishwasher was too much work. so every single meal he ate was on disposable kitchenware. back then…

Don’t buy a house together without marriage. ugh, this. i made the stupid, stupid mistake of buying a house with my NVX because he didn't like any of the houses i could afford on my own salary (we were long distance and he was finally able to move to where i was so we could move into together) so we combined our salaries for the house. ended up breaking up literally two months after moving in and i got stuck in a 2800sqft house by myself, and of COURSE he refused to help pay the mortgage for lon…

If you end a relationship, make sure that your friends and family block and delete also this is so, so important and i've gotten so much shit from people (re: shitty family members) after relationships end who don't want to go through with deleting. i've dealt with this by just removing those people from social media all together! but another great reminder if you do have SM is to routinely do cleanses/check ups.

i whole heartedly agree with you. over the years i had to go through a lot of dehumanizing heart break to realize that men don't actually want to be friends but really want a fucktherapist. to this day i'm still weeding out friends from years ago who have slipped through the cracks and been excused, but no more.

What would you say the neutral traits are? I agree with the emotional intelligence aspect, although one thing I give breaks on is communication ability. My best friend is the best person I know, but to this day her communication style is incredibly off putting (if there's a conflict) but isn't a big enough deal to throw out the entire person.

I understand what you're getting at but I don't really want to play along. Without divulging intimate personal details, what I'll say is me telling my partner about books, articles, therapy styles that I've experienced personally or been recommended isn't training, in my opinion. During the talks, which seldom happen, I don't put on a therapist hat. I don't walk him through anything. I sit there. I communicate. I wait, which is hard for me. He talks. That's it. I've done far, far for more the fr…

when you block a number, the number is saved in the “blocked numbers” section of the settings folder and it’s too much of a temptation for her. She says she can’t help herself and “has to” reach out if the number is available. i used to have a friend who was just like this. like....... exactly. i'm wondering if it's the same person lmao. i finally cut her off in january because she was insistent on not getting any better. ultimately, you give them the resources to change and if they want to th…

i so appreciate the post. the last bullet specifically is helpful. it's so, so easy to became quickly and deeply jaded and bitter by the behavior of men we know (or know of). having harmless crushes that actually bring us some kind of enjoyment is a great idea.

in my own personal experiences the times i've removed toxic/unhealthy relationships with women from my life the ending is just as messy and painful. every single time it's been a hard block, hard delete, hard "i don't fuck with her anymore" behavior, it spirals. whether we were apart of the same girl group, had the same male "friends" at work, or because we were from the same work place it just always got messier than it should have. i highly encourage slow fading/ghosting with women UNLESS you …

i agree with this. the only time i don't wear thongs is when i'm sleeping. anything that isn't a thong just ends up getting eaten by my ass anyways, so i'd rather just not deal with it. same thing with swim suits. i LOVE that there are so many thong swimsuits now, and a wide variety of cuts and styles. i HATE regular bikini bottoms as they usually don't fit my glutes, and it just turns into a really uncomfortable experience for me.

my partner has told me he doesn't. like everyone has said, there's no real way to prove that (that isn't incredibly violating) but i believe it. when we first got together he said he used to watch it but knew of the side effects and finally stopped. since we've been together i've gone on some truly beautiful rants and rages about porn, people who consume porn, and those who are indifferent to how normalized it is. my ex fiance (a LVM) also told me he didn't watch porn. he said he found it to be …

you can even marry a female friend platonically. I think that should be normalized. i have been joke-not-joking about this with my best friend for a few years now. we're both in relationships now (then we weren't) and i swear, if this one ends i'm DONE. i will enter a platonic relationship with a woman because i'm at the absolute end of my rope with men. my current partner is phenomenal, but i'm still constantly vetting and waiting for the other shoe to drop. as soon as it does....... i'm out. i…

i honestly don't know if that's the safest option for her...... they live under the same roof. men who are humiliated tend to slingshot in the opposite direction to "prove" something, and publicly humiliating someone who's depraved enough to steal his sister's panties would probably be pushed to do a lot worse. OP, please seek assistance outside of the home if you can. please be safe.

i understand where you're coming from, but i don't think something that's so complicated can be generalized like that. i also think there's a lot of women who were in abusive relationships who would attest to the fact that while they knew they were being treated in a shitty way made excuses and reasons for the treatment to rationalize and deal with it. by ignoring the subtleties of manipulative and abusive men on top of the deep rooted conditioning women go through we are doing a disservice to w…

Imagine being so incapable of being happy on your own come on..... that really isn't fair. all women experience the conditioning that leads to pickmeisha behavior, and some of us don't realize it until later in life. it isn't about women being incapable, it's the fact we've been taught that this is just what you do. obviously she should leave her shitty boyfriend. the fact that she publicly posted his derogatory behavior is baffling to me. but i don't want to put her down just because she hasn't…

i've done this a few times and yes, they always do the spinning gears to figure out if it's true or not. it's hilarious. another fun, but far more direct one, is i just shrug and say i'm choosey and not a fan of wasting my time. that always draws a nice line in the sand for me.

while i 100% agree, we all know scrotes don't ACTUALLY care about living in squalor. they genuinely don't care about a welcoming, attractive, and clean environment to live in so a woman's effort in making that happen is "stupid."

men always wanna talk shit about SAHM/W until the conversation about 'sharing the home workload' comes up, then they immediately make it known they don't want to do that. the fucking audacity.

probs gonna be downvoted. i'm sorry, but this seems a bit.... off. this sub is about vetting and strategies for leveling up, and while this isn't a sexualized picture of a guy the only point of posting it seems to be commenting on his physical appearance? obviously everyone appreciates someone good looking, but to blatantly showcase that as "omg look at this hot dude <3_<3" doesn't hit right.

Being in the military this gets drilled into EVERYONE to refer to each other as male or female in basic training. Drill sergeants referred to us as such. The thing that drives me nuts, now that I'm out, is seeing active duty members I'm friends with STILL doing it. People who are intelligent, aware, "woke," and generally decent people. What's worse is seeing the men who say guys and still call women females. We all know the military culture is a fucked up one, but one of the worst things about i…

Done and done. Talked to a gf of mine today to give her an update, and ultimately came to the question of.... Even if I were to stay friends, what do I get from that? Not a thing. Idc about being his friend, ultimately, and the weird hesitation I had from removing him from the get go is something I need to take a look at within myself and figure out what that stems from. Every chick in my life I gave the scenario to agreed with me. The three men I told, excluding one, did not (which in itself is…

This is past tense? Us being anything was months ago, and I stated I haven't even been talking to him. This was out of the blue, only other step now would be blocking him.

So I had been talking to this guy for a while. He was kind of during this time that I was only participating in casual sex and friendship and nothing else. He asked me what I was looking for and what I wanted, and I told him I don't want any kind of relationship because I just don't have the emotional energy or mental health to be an equal participant, as well as not wanting to be in a LD relationship. He accepted it and our communication (definitely on my end) started to fizzle. On Monday a lon…

I find most men annoying and boring. The reason I wouldn’t date the guys I have had sex with because none of them were the right person for me nor I for them. The majority of them were not bad people. I really, really feel this. I appreciate your input, thank you for sharing!
