My main answer to your stated question is, a lot of the negative stereotypes you mentioned are about violence, and violence is seen as a stereotypically masculine trait. Another reason is that men are stereotyped as "active" whereas women are stereotyped as "passive", so traits that show themselves the most in people's actions are often attributed to men.
