The advice in the comment is to follow the sidebar, accept accountability, improve herself, and stop blaming others.

We’re allowed to isolate topics. We can talk about hair and nails and just that.

I'd say that if you really want to date a masculine man you might have to come to terms with never truly "feeling" a deep raw emotional connection. However you could feel a deep strong sexual connection with a masculine man, without having him need to enter your frame.< I think that’s the pearl of wisdom that helps me find clarity. Of course I know that no man is perfect, but realistically it’s hard to not create an ideal in one’s mind. This helps me be more open and accepting of a man who might…

I think we’re just mincing words/hashing out definitions. I simply want my man to have emotions. That wouldn’t make him submissive automatically.

Hmmm I’m not sure about yoga, but I’ve definitely thought this too. It’s just that prev experience has shown me that a lot of cool spiritual and/or religious ppl can often be loners so it’s hard to meet them 🤔. I’ll keep trying

1) I took it a few times a few years ago and got INTJ each time. I haven’t taken it recently though. 2) Hmmm you might be right there 🤔. I don’t think I want him to submit to me emotionally, but I do want him to engage emotionally. He doesn’t have to be as intense as I am or even have the same range of emotions, I would just hope he’s willing to be attentive even if he can’t relate.

Reconsider whether this piece of input in this sub is conducive to its overall goal/message

It's actually amazing that this topic randomly came to my mind today (the idea of a couple not 100% agreeing on whether they want kids)... particularly this 'maybe' situation. I think there are many ways to bring up the topic of maybe having kids one day and it's too important to ignore. I'm not saying it's a good idea to sit down with a guy on date three and plan out on which particular day you'll give birth, but there are many ways to get a sense of whether someone wants or even likes kids. Do…

My point is that you’re very young and very often unexpected things happen in life that will throw you off path. It’s inevitable. And what you’re trying to do is make that particular path your identity. And it will only harm you and destabilize you when something unpredictable inevitably happens. You reached a good conclusion. Concentrate on yourself. :) the rest will follow

Or maybe it’s just a question of knowing when “friendliness” can be easily misconstrued and prioritizing your SO/ not entertaining it. It’s not a matter of being irresistible.

I understand- in that case r/offmychest is a more suitable sub. RPW isn’t the sub to help you feel better about not doing right by your SO, even if he IS failing at being a good SO. If you have issues to workout in your relationship, either work them out or break up if it’s irreconcilable. But what makes you think you’ll solve emotional problems by creating more emotional problems?

You could curb this all by just being a normal, more conservative teenager and not be dating before it’ll become anything serious. Why are you even thinking about guys so close to college applications? College is a long four years. You’ll meet someone regardless. But if you spend it all trying to social climb, it won’t go that well and you’ll be sniffed out. Just relax and be a senior in high school. You’re not somehow ‘ahead of the game’ if you’re worried about these things early on.

it frustrates me how easy it is to flirt with him but I suppose it’s just biology What kind of garbage is this? No it’s not your biology. You can curb your inappropriate behavior. It’s just as easy to NOT flirt with him— unless you WANT to and that is its own problem/ your SO deserves better than a girl who can’t even type at a computer for a temporary amount of time without getting hot for someone else.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
