Remember when women readers screamed male writers couldn’t write female characters. Where’s the outrage now? Most books published now are by female authors and their take on men is just awful. But you know… crickets.

I’m not even sure they love the men in their lives. It’s just what you can do for them or provide them, ie safety, support financial and emotional, physical labor, etc. They love you only so much as you’re useful to them.

Yeah wouldn’t be hard to know the reaction if it was the other way around.

It’s mass hysteria fostered by social media (and to some extent main stream media).

Because most bestsellers these days are written by women. It’s yet another industry like nursing, daycare, primary school teachers that are made up of 90% women. The argument you’ll get from the other side is that it’s mostly women who buy and read books AND it is to make up for a time when the industry was predominantly run by men. You’ll still here the old trope that men can’t write female characters.

I was so confused by this clickbait article. They are not dating. This reads more like her fantasy than a co-worker relationship.

Did you mean presumption of guilt in your second paragraph? I think you meant innocence.

Meh. I read this as women are still victims of the “wage gap”, glass ceiling, and “long-simmering inequality and stubborn sexism.” Oh, and work is hard too! The solution apparently is to quit and ? “I want to go and sit beneath trees, or sit in a field, or whatever.” Let me paraphrase: I want to have the flexibility to do what I want while someone else (a spouse, the government, etc) take care of my needs. Seems like some women might be harkening back to days when they had security (both financi…

Something else to consider. In women, bipolar disorder is often diagnosed after they have their first child. I don’t know how old you two are, but did these problems get worse after the birth of your child? I know this doesn’t really help if she doesn’t seek treatment, but it might help you realize none of what you’re going through is your fault. Wishing you the best brother.

Asking seriously - can she have bipolar disorder? Unmedicated, these people can be very unpredictable and suffer manic phases (impulsive behaviors).

You can count on the narrative being she is the victim. That’s how this will play out and why she won’t get much if any prison time.

Unfortunately I’ve come across more than a few articles from mainstream sources that are downplaying the verdict. The gist of these articles is that they both were found guilty of defamation while downplaying the clear win for Depp. They’re really showing their agenda.

Sorry don’t know. They just read it live on TV.

I can’t believe her statement, she is trying to make HERSELF out to be the victim in all of this.

The $2 million isn’t on Depp. It was one of his agents that made the claim. Edited: just reported on news.

And then when researchers compile stats on rape we’re told women don’t rape. The data doesn’t lie. Yeah right.

I read it the same way. “I’m trying my best, but you know there’s a good chance I’m going to fail and since they’re boys well you know… they’ll end up rapists or criminals. It’s a long game.”

I applaud you for having the courage to tackle this difficult subject. I recognize you approached this from the perspective of MGTOW, but I wish you had gone deeper into the causes. Boiling it down to traditional vs "modern" roles while significant, only scratches the surface. It goes much deeper than dating or romantic interests. I wish you had touched on many of the issues, that appear on this subreddit every day, that push men into what you (or your colleagues) term "deviant" ways of thinking…

I’m sure you go on the twoxchromosomes subreddit and share your demand to end misandry too. Right? Let us know how that goes for you. You’re concern is palpable.

I recently saw a financial commercial portray the husband as an idiot. Scene opens with an attractive Asian woman sitting with attractive Asian man on a couch discussing their finances. Cut to middle aged American guy, looking disheveled, who walks in on them. He looks like he could be the landscaper. It isn’t until she calls him “honey” and suggests he should sit in on the meeting that we discover he’s her husband. He demurs and the scene cuts out. I’ll see if I can find it.

You mean like car insurance premiums for young men? I guess it’s okay to discriminate for car insurance but not health insurance?

I agree completely. That term is so overused it is meaningless. Most women who use it aren’t discussing the behavior (which we all know and understand is wrong) but instead use it in a derogatory way to describe men they don’t find attractive or wealthy enough for their unrealistic standards.

As an American, I learned a lot from this thread. The misinformation we’re fed here is huge. I assumed women had it rough in India. I’m sorry I bought that narrative. I should know better by now.

I thought the purpose of a uniform and dress standards was so that no one stands out. You know... uniformity. They’re supposed to lose the individual mentality to become a part of the cohesive team. This seems counterproductive to the mission of the military.

So how do you account for the COVID vaccine rollout going to people over the age of 70 in the first pass? By the same logic we should inoculate those under 70 first. No?

I’m glad the NFL finally stopped the stupidity of the pink ribbons on everything and the pink shoes, etc. You’d think the NFL might focus on men’s health. No?

Yeah, the women in my life have pointed this out repeatedly when I bring up the stats. It’s like it’s okay for men to die because “they’re old.” WTF?

Don’t forget about domestic abuse. That’s the other “women are suffering” theme going around.

Saw a segment on the evening news the other night about a growing movement among pregnant women using marijuana both during and after pregnancy. So many thoughts came to mind about child safety and nursing infants. For clarification, I’m all for the legalization of marijuana.

Yes. Their choices lead to lower paying jobs that require less overtime and in most cases are less dangerous. It is not due to a rigged system that is against women. It comes down to personal choice.
