I don't get why this was posted on a christian website. This article clearly talks about judaism and the old testament. Even the author is jewish.

Dr Irene Lancaster is a Jewish academic, author and translator who has established university courses on Jewish history, Jewish studies and the Hebrew Bible. Seems the problem lies with the Old Testament, which is followed by jews, not christians. Circumcision is not a christian ritual.
