I was in your shoes back in September / October. Hardly ate, sleep was terrible, just tons of stress. Give yourself some grace. A lot of ups and downs to come but it does get better

Totally understand. Everyone gets to that point on different timelines. Keep at it man, the grieving (and growth) process take time

Yeah. There are a lot of factors that would determine when someone is ready. Also, going on casual dates, meeting people and having fun is a good way to get out there (imo) before trying to find your next life partner / LTR.

All advice on this topic is very one size fits all. There’s so much nuance as every situation is completely different. Some people should probably wait more than a year (!!) while others will be ready much more quickly.

This may be tough to hear, but there is a good chance your wife has already checked out. And if that’s the case, it is VERY hard to get her back. It is much more common for women to grieve the relationship and be disengaged by the time they come to the husband. That doesn’t mean you aren’t back in it. Focus on what you can control right now - showing up for your kids, being consistent, making changes that you know have been pain points (do the stuff your wife wants to see but do not draw attenti…

One of the important parts of therapy for me has been to understand myself better. My marriage was good for the most part but things started to crack over the past couple years. Learning about how things like my upbringing impacted the way I handled emotions and conflict has helped me to both understand my role in our marriage ending and the why behind my actions. I’ve found this to be very very helpful to break cycles and change how I interact with friends and family (including my two little ki…

Yeah, I saw his collection there. I got them for a good price. Can’t believe he would misplace them like that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
