i have to agree with you, fellow lady here lol. its a song by Sean Kingston. however, written song lyrics on a note, plus asking her on a study date definitely throws off the balance of it. totally agree it sounds like a red flag of self pity, and would instantly turn me away. do not mention anything about her being too attractive for you, or you being too ugly or lame for her.

would like to add onto this. if you decide to compliment her, for gods sake, be specific. dont say "youre hot." no, no, no. tell her that she has some of the prettiest smiles youve ever seen. tell her that you think her top compliments her eyes very well. do not mention her body (creepy), but rather make her feel good about herself in a non-sexual way.
