I disagree. In the article she is generally upfront with the guys and she isn't manipulating them. They choose to throw a few pennies her way because the money means nothing to them, same as her. They make themselves feel good by giving her a few bucks here and there; money that means nothing to them so they enjoy that she is willing to act how they want for a few bucks. She's using them for money and they are using her for some meaningless gratification.

Not really a good example. This was for charity and is never taken as seriously as when they play the actual game hence she even had the guy in the background kind of helping to feed her answers. Celebrity editions of game shows are always a joke because it's done for "feel good" nonsense and the game rules are often times relaxed.
