Saying a feeling about your own lived experience out loud to someone else doesn't have to always mean you are complaining. Saying these things is just sharing the facts about how life is from a perspective outside your own, and listening and understanding and sympathizing are absolutely within your control. Also working to ensure other men around you and your own behaviour is better is within your control. If you only care about women who are connected to you in some way and not all women in gen…

So should you never walk alone at night? Or maybe should we expect people not to stab each other? You started off saying it might sound like blame but people need to be responsible and that is still roundabout putting some blame on the victim. It sound alike blame because it is. I'm sure most people wouldn't choose to walk alone at night in some sketchy area for fun but if they have to so they can get somewhere are they being irresponsible? I don't think so and I think if we focused away from th…

Why do you think that women sharing an experience of discomfort about mens behaviour is weaponizing?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 12:06 PM
4

Understanding something is not the full spectrum of sympathizing though… can you really not take a step back and just digest that another perspective is valid even if you might not agree? Also doesn't really sound like you understand at all tbh just that you have heard and disregarded because it didn't apply to you

“Things have more chances to happen in certain circumstances” I don't think really applies to rape or assault or other variations of men attacking a woman. Men don't just decide to do so because circumstances allow it unless they were already the kind of person that would have done it anyway. I choose to believe most men would choose not to harm a woman no matter the circumstances he may find her in and the circumstances aren't the issue, it's the man in question who decides to act. Saying that …

Yeah sure but if you shift back toward how someone could have mitigated what was done to them doesn't that shift away from the real problem? Like a woman who get drunk and passe south naked doesn't deserve being raped any more than one who is a black belt and carrying mace. Whatever level of effort someone puts into their own protection doesn't really change the fact that it's not okay to hurt them

Okay well starting off saying you didn't bother reading the post is not a great intro into disproving that men can sympathize with women.. Sympathy and empathy are not about reason and logic they are about listening and making an effort to understand another person
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 11:31 AM

You really believe all empathy is performative? That someone couldn’t just try to put themselves in another persons shoes and understand their feelings and maybe shift their perspective? That’s really sad if so. And regarding being more careful… plenty of women are careful all the time but men still manage to do bad things to them. Ether you are careful or not doesn’t change another persons intention. Maybe instead of blaming someone bring out at night among vampires we tell the vampires to fuck…

What I am saying it that anyone not stating their intentions should be doing so and anyone assuming someone’s intentions are wrong and would be at fault. But if intentions are stated and someone doesn’t want what the other does but continues anyway- that is obviously wrong. Choosing to say nothing about your lack of any serious intentions is up to you to do but it is still dishonest. This isn’t gendered. I think women do it too. I personally have no serious romantic intentions and just want sex …

I think if you have a one night hookup you are under no obligation to state anything about your intentions beyond sex. If you have a continuous sexual relationship with a person and neither of you states any intentions then any assumptions on either part are wrong. The problem is when intentions are stated and one party doesn’t follow through with said intentions. That is when someone can be upset. Regardless of gender Communication and honesty is something we should all value and want, no?

I don't make any effort to separate them really, because for me, sex has always been just something fun and physical without emotions. And if I care for someone then yes, emotions become involved over time - but they don't automatically get attached to the act. Sex is kind of like playing a team sport with someone haha- a stranger can be fun to play with but over time, there is a sense of closeness and comraderie that you gain together which does make playing better! It doesn't mean you can't st…

Based on the way you talk about sex I am sure you would enjoy it more to practise with a partner you cared about and grow together over time, even if it might be harder and make you more vulnerable to go that route, instead of paying a stranger to get experience. If you value connection first and sex second, it won't end up being the kind of experience you want anyway. I say this as an escort myself! You deserve the sex you have to be the right kind for you and with the right person :)

That is not a very healthy approach to a potential marriage.. If you want to have sec before marriage then have it, if you don't then do not, but you shouldn't pay for sex to “get even” with your wife if she has. Just find someone to marry with the same values around sex that you have, whether that means you both have had it or you both have not

I don't see anything problematic about a fleshlight in the same way that there is nothing wrong with a dildo. But potentially an ethical argument COULD be made that creating a fully human literal sex object in the shape of a woman might be an issue… I'm just saying the comparison of sex doll to dildo is not really the same, and pointing out that a female fuck object for male pleasure could have obvious links to sexualizing women overall is not demonizing male sexuality. Everybody deserves to get…

It is quite the generalization to claim all women under 30 want to be whipped or tied up. Everyone, man or woman, has some kind of sexual fantasies. And what would being interested in something under the bdsm umbrella be “compensating” for?

Why would it be that if she doesn’t communicate what she wants it only leaves you to figure it out? Isn’t there the option to ask her how things feel and take the requested feedback toward the goal of getting her off? Kind of a cop out to just say well if she doesn’t explicitly tell me how then I just have to guess and if it doesn’t work, oh well. That’s lazy as hell. I think the important thing to note in situations like this is that this is not an equal playing field- men who make jokes about taking advantage of women, or calling women whatever kind of name - that comes with a history of power over them that doesn’t exist the other way around. Obviously it’s not okay to talk down or talk shit to anyone but there should be an immediate call out for people doing so to a group they have historically taken advantage of. Like there is a reason that someone shoul…

Not all kinds of bad behaviour are so easy to spot unfortunately. Little things also are worth calling out - like the men who make jokes at a women’s expense, or those that talk down about women in their lives to their friends, call women bitches, insinuate women are less then in any way- that kinda shit often seems to go ignored and it shouldn’t be. The truth is I can snap back at men making comments like this whenever I hear them, but the people they will actually respect being called out by a…

I’m sorry what? Being told you should be at men’s sexual beck and call to appease them, calling that uncomfortable, is just a minor inconvenience? Compared to men having to… get to know and take interest in women? Actually connect with them and care about their lives, treat them as human beings even, before they can sleep with them? Oh yeah sooo ridiculous for women to be upset by that

So because the patriarchy in society tells you to do something you just do it? Why not push back and think critically about that? Just because the mainstream casts judgement doesn’t mean you need to agree.

I mean.. maybe those are bad friends? That’s not a standard for how humans should interact. If you se the type of man who would judge a friend if he was a virgin you should question why that is.

Umm no I don’t think they would even care or that they would try to find out or ask lol. If they are turning him down it wouldn’t be because of that it would be because of something else. Maybe that other thing also causes his lack of experience? But his lack of experience wouldn’t be the issue. But for some men it seems that even if they like a girl and are interested her experience can become an issue for them. See the difference?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 11:42 PM

I definitely think there are more virgin (or less experienced) men than there are promiscuous women. I think I saw a study that said the average person has like 7-10 partners in their life? That is hardly promiscuous lol. And I didn’t say most men would reject a promiscuous women, I said more men would reject a woman for being promiscuous than women would reject a man for having no experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 09:10 PM

1000% this. The problem is that men seem to limit personal value in a way women do not. Probably comes from the patriarchal standards that limit social connection between men and women into something physical and sexual and something that men gain and women give. As if a person can’t have value outside of those parameters 🙄

I really don’t think that is a comparable amount of women to the amount of men who reject women based on sexual history. There is an obvious imbalance

I literally don’t know any woman that would judge a man who couldn’t get laid as a loser BECAUSE he couldn’t get laid. But why couldn’t he get laid? Is he shy and inexperienced and lacking social skills? No judgement there- he can be helped. Is he a sexist or a misogynist or generally an asshole who acts like he is owed sex? Then maybe.

They show you a study of thousands of deaths and you come back with one example you heard recently? You must see how these things aren’t equal in reliability. And nobody said women don’t kill men but it’s not comparable to violence against women perpetrated by men

The declining birth rates and increase of women who are choosing to not date show that this is already happening … and wanting to be in a relationship or intimate with men doesn’t negate negative female experiences because of them. Both can exist. Just because you have a shitty time doesn’t mean you can’t look for one person who sees your value and treats you right.

But those women with shallow and performative men. If that's not what you want then find women who don't want that. They exist and don't want men who play into those games
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/25 06:57 AM

Because walking up to a woman you find attractive JUST To talk to her because you find her attractive is transparent and easily spotted. Women don't want to be spoken to because someone sees them as attractive- they are basically an object in that scenario and its uncomfortable. Women deal with attention our whole lives from men who don't have good intentions and its easy to pick up. Signs of aging are not what make men or women unattractive. Plenty of older women with grey hair who take care of their bodies and skin are still seen as attractive. There is no “wall” and it especially isn't from 25 onward, that is absolutely ridiculous. People who don't take care of their bodies are unattractive to either gender. Yeah I completely agree. When I said relatable I meant as so toward those into decades above them - I think anyone in their 40s or 50s or higher attracted to only those below 25 make no sense outside of being immature and stunted themselves because those people haven't even fully grown into adult hood yet so how could that possibly be the age for hitting a “wall”? A wall of what, seeing past their bullshit? Lmao the whole idea is so stupid honestly

That user actually engaged very well in good faith to your position, they just used the quotations around “all women act this way” as hypobole for you staying “every older women I've dated” (apparently any over 20 lmao) and you disagreed so decided to come back with “that makes you a loser goodbye” instead of bothering to continue the conversation.. As you should, since this is the age range of women reaching full mental maturity... A full grown adult man interested in a 19-early 20s woman is suspect in his intentions for valid reasons when you consider this… not just women but honestly most people of any gender become more adult, mature, interesting and relatable post-25 which is what should make them more attractive to anyone older. I totally agree with the original post comment here- I think it only really will lead to success in the right moment and with no sexual intention as the goal. Believe me women can tell when a man approaches with sexual intention vs a genuine conversation lol. Reading body cues and being semi emotionally intelligent to read a persons reaction is also important - honestly most women and myself who decline a man’s cold approach will do so politely and obviously if you pay any attention, but not say…

I think she meant he should take no in the moment as an answer if she wasn’t feeling him. So many men who try the cold approach don’t seem to be able to handle rejection and that fact immediately puts women who are approached by anyone on edge from the jump because of that potential.

Absolutely they are all a spectrum. But they are fetishes by definition regardless of intensity level - that’s not an extreme word! Even pg13 turn ons like dressing a certain way are fetishes. Do you have a source to your claim that dominance vs submission trends are rooted in biology though? Just so you know, starting with “you women are VERY bad about communicating discomfort” comes across super shitty and not at all like a good lover. You don’t need to mind read but you should check in and pay attention to body language. Your partner you mentioned seemed apprehensive and you didn’t bother to check in? This is such a sad mindset. What made you think women don’t desire men? They absolutely do and you can find lots of proof online if you look at any subreddits for Romantasy novels or anything really from the female perspective about fictional men who are love interests in a book or tv show or movie. Women are just as horny as men lol just pay attention

Lmao what? Those men are not rare. You just haven’t experienced them as a man. All sexuality is a bit selfish in that it is desire sparked by a physical or mental or combined mix of triggers that will push someone toward and target orgasm. Both men and women both are guilty of doing what they need to during sex to get off. If anything, this is WAY more prevalent in men because sex usually involves penetration which will make a man cum but not always a woman. How often do you think men having cas…

This is just not true at all. I very much like to look at men and their bodies are very much something I care about. You need to let this weird take on something you have no evidence for go… this is the kinda BS obviously said by men and not women. Women’s sexuality has many facets and the attraction to their partner is definitely part of it, why wouldn’t it be? Are our brains wired to only connect sexually to our own bodies? What do women who don’t like their bodies do to get off in that case?

Have you seen this sub or similar subreddits lol… on a daily basis there is some kind of post that is a man getting upset about not having sex, or having less sex than they want, or less often than they want, or with less people … there is a reason the incel term exists. Or even the “nice guy”, or the trope of the husband who can’t convince his wife to sleep with him … these men are not rare
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 05:08 AM

Sexual fetishes for dominating or being dominated are not gendered. Lots of women dominate and lots of men prefer to sub. It’s shitty to imply men have more “instincts” to be “ constrained” and not discuss BDSM as being for all and focus on consent if you are going to engage in that kind of play. Nobody is pretending these fetishes don’t exist but don’t claim that they are linked into gender and biology because that is BS

Don’t generalize all women based off Reddit posts you read. Only a subset of society even is on Reddit and then a smaller part of that has women sharing views about sexuality in the posts you read. Dont generalize anything from internet comments

If you have no personal experience at all and are deciding the truth of women’s sexuality based on male comments about it online… cmon use your critical thinking skills. Do you think that is the right evidence to make a decision from? It’s ridiculous to assume that any women who engages in sexual acts with a man is only getting off on thinking of how he sees her. Straight men are often the worst so they need to be at least slightly attractive to women for us to sleep with any of you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 04:53 AM

She would be! Why would you think she wouldn’t be? If someone isn’t at all attractive to you would you enjoy sleeping with them? It’s not different for women. They are likely to see something attractive about you if they are in bed with you.

But you apparently only think it exists as something that comes from a man’s interest and attention to her.. not from her own wants and needs and pleasure outside of his existence? I think the important factor here should not be the potential life but the existing life of the woman in question. Only one side actually has to grow and change their body so yes, that side gets a choice. The other persons opinion can be taken into account but is not as important by virtue of the impact on them being less. Paying child support isn't as much of a hardship as pregnancy and childbirth and all the societal expectations around parenthood women have. You have to change your perspective here because while yes it might suck to become a parent because you got a woman pregnant, the issue of what she wants to do with her body when she ends up pregnant is more important than the impact a child will have on your finances. Nobody is telling men they a not talk about their issues, but it is very important to note that the issues men experience stem from the patriarchal societal expectations of men and that system also benefits men over women. The benchmark for you shouldn't be compared to womens benchmarks. Its apples to oranges. You shouldn't even be comparing yourself to another man really - make yourself a better option than being alone. I don't think it necessarily displeased most women as much as it just annoys them that you want to make an issue out of how life works. That barrier you speak of is nobodys problem but yours if you make it one. I think its an important factor to consider that society is accepting of men who objectify women and treat them as commodities, so we dnd up having more men do so because they can. So based on what you said here, you have some personal experience with shitty people you’ve seen abusing the obvious unrequited interest coming from others, and have even yourself been the one to take advantage of someone you’ve rejected - so therefore any person who continues what they consider a platonic relationship, after rejecting their desire for more from the other party, must be also taking advantage. They couldn’t possibly just be accepting that the other person takes the rejection matu…

If you are “making” them be exclusive you are already losing. They should want to be. If they don’t and are just caving in to you because of whatever reason you use and they buy in to, of course they will not stay longer as they get bored or someone else comes along. You are looking at this all wrong. You never have to “make” the right person continue to choose you..

If you aren’t doing anything to progress her romantic interest why shouldn’t she get bored? You do have to be someone who is a good enough match for the other person to hold their interest or why wouldn’t they move on? Again this goes for men and women. Nobody is owed romantic relationships or monogamy if the other person doesn’t want to give them that. Why should you even want someone who would rather be with someone else and finds you boring? You should want a partner who enjoys you like you e…

Shouldn’t YOU be under the impression you can hold her interest? If you don’t think you could then why pursue anything? It’s a waste of time to invest in someone who you have to convince to choose you. Who you are should be enough. If you constantly fall short as a potential partner the focus should turn inward on self improvement. I would say the exact same thing to either a man or a women who claimed they were constantly passed over by attractive people because they have other options. If you …

Why are you even going on dates with women who it sounds like you have nothing in common with and are what you would consider not dateable? It honestly sounds to me like your problem is you chase attractive women because they are attractive and don’t look for people to date based on common interest or perspective or passions as first priority. You aren’t wrong that attractive people have many options but that applies to both men and women- beautiful men I have met through apps have been flighty …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 07:37 PM

Women can just like sex for the feeling of fucking as well as feeling desired, firstly. It’s not automatic that every woman is so vain and self involved that she is focused on being desired above just enjoying the feeling of being licked touched etc. and what is even wrong with self objectifying? Feeling sexy and confident good in your body and enjoying pleasure from sex is absolutely not a negative thing for women to do. Objectifying yourself has no link to your worth and value if you enjoy it.…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 06:37 PM

Why does having sex decrease your value?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 05:10 PM

You didn’t really though. You just keep making arguments around how sex is and how women feel and how women are affected by sex but like zero times have you explained why you assume that women don’t find their own pleasure in sex, or that sex brings down a women’s value, or has a negative impact on their mental health. What makes you think these things?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 04:07 PM

Fuck someone who doesn’t want to fuck them? That is absolutely not legal what are you even talking about
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 04:05 PM

There is a difference between saying hey, I noticed that the last few times I was on the bus at this hour it was really busy so I will try to avoid it - and saying, because I have seen the bus busy at those times it is always busy at those times. Experience is not to be treated as universal fact even if it can benefit you to use in decision making.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 03:58 PM

As a woman myself, I can promise you that you are wrong on so much hahah. I am trying to make a logical case to explain it and you basically said “well based on logic I am either right or wrong”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 03:55 PM

So then ugly women can’t feel desire for a man who isn’t attracted to her? Who if they bent her over and fucked her even if he didn’t want to whatsoever she would feel no pleasure from that?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 03:48 PM

I am trying to make the point that sexual desire isn’t different if it’s homosexual or heterosexual. The sexual reactions in a woman’s body don’t differ based on a partners gender. So if a woman can desire and feel sexual urges for another woman… she can for a man also.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 03:20 PM

I sometimes don’t feel safe on a crowded bus but I see the point you are trying to make. I am just telling you that while it’s not wrong to make assumptions about people or places or general life based on experience, it’s really important to reflect that those experiences and patterns we find don’t translate into fact about the world as a whole. It is especially important to be cognizant of not letting ourselves treat entire groups of people as one based on the ones we have gotten to interact wi…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 03:18 PM

I don’t assume to know men. I am not asserting to know men- also I wouldn’t generalize the total of “men” as one even if I did. But I do think I know humans generally would prefer to be with someone aroused by them.. sex is a team sport and if someone isn’t into it then it’s either paid for or non consensual. That has nothing to do with knowing men or women
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 03:08 PM

Lmao oh my god no. Their pleasure is entirely their own and separate from their partners pleasure- of course they impact each other, sexual acts of any kind involve and affect both people doing them. What made you decide to view women’s sexual enjoyment as only existing in response to a man? What has shown you that this is a fact?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 03:05 PM

Why is there a difference in the existence of sexual drive for women if it’s aimed at men or women though?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 02:42 PM

I wasn’t the one who originally answered you asking for studies. I am only saying you should use your critical thinking skills and realize that just because you have experienced things that give credit to a certain viewpoint of women it does not mean that ALL women will behave that way. It is important to distinguish between belief and fact and not treat them as the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 02:39 PM

You should really unpack why you have so much negativity directed at women enjoying and seeking out sex for their own pleasure outside of how it impacts a male partner. Why shouldn’t they be proud of their bodies and how they use them? Why do you think their bodies are being “used” but cannot change to the POV that there is nothing wrong with being the ones “using” it how they want?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 02:35 PM

lol nobody wants to fuck someone who isn’t at least a bit aroused by them unless they are a rapist. That is not a gendered claim to make.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 02:28 PM

So female desire only exists if a woman is attracted to another women but then doesn’t exist for sex with men? Does it seem so crazy to allow the existence of a women having her own sexual drive outside of a man’s interaction
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 02:02 PM

That’s called confirmation bias. Your judgements of others based on what you have experienced is not the same as fact. And you should make an effort to not generalize half the population based on what you might have experienced if you are going to assert that something is a fact and not just a belief of yours
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 01:56 PM

What gives you the right to make such sweeping assumptions about the motives of women though, genuinely? Why do you think you can decide that as fact? If women had no desire for sex unless a man was desiring us then women would never experience a crush or initiate a sexual interaction. Most PEOPLE wouldn’t want to be forced into a sexual act regardless of if they found the person being acted upon attractive and felt sexual desire for them. And you are pulling a no true Scotsman with deciding wha…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 01:50 PM

lol wow I swear I thought your comment was made by the OP and was serious. Obviously I am too tired
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 01:30 PM

I think it says a lot about YOU that consider having sex an achievement and not having it as something devaluing, and linking those wins and loses deeply into your mental health. Most well adjusted adults are able to separate whether they are having sex or not from their value. These are your own person feelings not a universal fact
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 01:26 PM

Yes women can desire a man who doesn’t desire them back. Just look at any female fans drooling over a hot celebrity for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 01:21 PM

Lmao and where are you getting this information from? How is this not blatant misogyny to say women exist for men? Maybe as a boy you shouldn’t try to speak for women and instead try to listen to
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 01:12 PM

How do lesbians exist if women have no desire for sex without a man? What reason would women master ate without sexual desires of their own? To assert that women have no drive to fuck and are only riding the wave of how men’s desires affect them is nonsense. Your link between women having sex and women not respecting themselves is also totally false… they might be connected for some people (men included) but they aren’t automatically connected. Just because you might see some examples of women s…

I absolutely agree with you- if someone is standing by this idea that the libido of men/women is some constant based on gender then they are ignoring all the nuances of people as individuals as well as pairings of people affecting each other, and also all the various outside factors on each person that can affect sex drives from every angle.

Or maybe make therapy free? It would end up that more people were better off generally and also more likely to date without opening them up to lawsuits from people who were unhappy with results. Talking about your shit and unhappy.. then you are still in the same spot you were. Change your physical self and still unhappy or god forbid it goes wrong? Way more likely to have a case there to blame someone else haha

He could tell her the reason why he couldn’t be with her anymore and she could take that news however she liked, if she decided to throw her whole career away to make him happy she could, but asking her to do so is not reasonable. Nobody should expect or ask that of a partner. If you don’t love and accept the person you are with for who they are, then just don’t date them. Trying to get people to change to suit your own wants and needs is not how healthy relationships are formed.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 09:03 AM

What exactly is the end goal in bringing up that you have decided that you don’t like how your partner lives their life? You would expect them to completely change for you to accomadate that? That’s not something emotionally mature/healthy adults would expect… if you aren’t okay with their career, YOU move on. You are responsible for dealing with your own feelings about things as big as someone’s career.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 08:53 AM

Who says just because he has money that it means she would stop working? Some women actually enjoy having their own careers… And yes not everything I believe is unreasonable would apply to everyone - but objectively, it would be outside the norm of a healthy adult relationship to expect your partner to take on the burden of dealing with your insecurities to the point where you would have to completely alter your life. If I had insecurities around my partners job or how they generally lived their…

Well yeah anyone who thinks their own insecurities are 100% their partner problem would be more than reasonable to leave behind…. In this particular scenario the insecurities in question are around a career that was well established before Jonah came along, and the dress code that comes with it… these are not reasonable things to expect your partner to change. Communicate feelings you have, sure, but they absolutely would be your feelings to deal with yourself at the end of the day.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 08:22 AM

Just because you have an insecurity doesn’t mean you need to make it your partners problem to deal with. The communication of his feelings isn’t the issue, he is welcome to share how he feels, the issue here is that he is expecting her to change who she already was before they met (and the person who he found to be interesting to start) to accommodate him, instead of dealing with his own issues himself. Sometimes being a healthy adult means realizing your feelings- while valid to have them- are …

I don’t think your friend with bad taste in men is representative of how all women approach relationships. Most women do date someone because they are attracted to them for one reason or another. Do you really think because you know one shallow, pretty woman that they are all like that? It’s true that people of both genders are able to choose a partner for whatever reason they decide, but that doesn’t make it a universal truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:21 AM

I am trying to say that they are trying to make change that helps all of us as a society, not just women. Feminism is working toward equality of the genders and the process of getting there will absolutely benefit men as well. The aim is to change structures and biases and stuff like that doesn’t happen overnight. Join in and work together to help get us moving the right way. Does a movement need to benefit you personally in an immediate way to make it worthwhile to believe in?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/23 05:29 AM

It’s a conscious decision to push back against the culture of toxicity that we all have to make together, feminism isn’t going to fix anything for people who don’t join the movement! It absolutely will make the lives of men better who get involved in it, use your voice to push back against limiting views on how a man or woman should be or act, let yourself live however you see fit and expect acceptance and give out acceptance to others doing the same. Lift up the women around you and expect them…

It would absolutely make you a better more open minded person to try to avoid treating all women/any group of people as static with a single viewpoint - especially if you are not even a part of said group, but yet can apparently speak for all of them? Cmon. Women are not inherently drawn to any type of man because it’s a trait of being women. SOCIETY treats some types of men and also women as more desirable and some people might go for that, but some also don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/23 12:59 AM

So do you think the reason women aren’t drawn to you (assuming you are coming from that perspective) is because they are instead drawn to some other good looking but abusive asshole? Why assume the reason is anything other than you maybe don’t have enough redeeming qualities to attract women (not just looks - hobbies, passions etc etc all can make you attractive to people)? OR if that’s also not true and you have things you love doing for you, you aim to be a good person, you put effort into you…

Pushing back against society’s expectations of women and aiming for freedom - to not only be just a housewife or mother or caretaker etc etc - also opens up more space for men to also leave gender expectations behind, because they aren’t stuck within constraints of being the counterpart to that idea of a woman. Feminism wants to shed these on both ends. I’m sure you could she at least that feminism pushes for this freedom for women - why can’t you see that it would also extend to men? Women don’…

Why should those crappy people you know qualify as a representative sample of all women though? Maybe you are interacting with women in an environment that fosters those attitudes. It’s important to remember that just because these are most women you know / notice, doesn’t mean that this is what most women overall are.

Well the way you wrote it comes across like you are talking about all of them. There are definitely some who do this but I don’t think it’s the majority. Still shit behaviour regardless though definitely not defending it, just saying that good conversation should avoid generalizations about either gender!

Man do you hear how dismissive you are being? Reaching out for help for your mental health if you could use it, even if something isn't going terribly wrong in your life, is actually really mature. People all could use a space to discuss and dissect their feelings if they would like to do so!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/23 05:11 AM

I am a woman that totally hears where you are coming from - but you are also kind of generalizing all men in a negative tone here the same way those men who you disagree with would do about women, are you not? There isn't a universal slimy-ness from men and I would say it does harm to automatically assume they all don't mean well. It does nobody any good to treat the opposite gender as a hive mind!

Have interests and passions purely for your own benefit, and invest your energy in yourself before putting it into dating. You will attract others waaaay easier! People who are enjoying being themselves come across more interesting and confident.
