I divorced my husband because he said in therapy that I should love him unconditionally. No, that’s supposed to be your Mom. To him, unconditional love meant he could be a slob, do questionable things and neglect me completely, but my vows said I would stay no matter what.

Well, the woman would hold the responsibility of rearing a child with the person sitting across from them if the birth control fails. So, we tend to get a smidge picky, yes. It’s biology and chemicals and shit. Deep down, I only want to get naked for someone who honestly likes me and might stick around for the unlikely event of offspring.

I’m new to the red pill blue pill thing, too… I’m here for perspective. I’m average looking and always pursued other average looking folks. I find that the people who are just looking to score with the hottest other people have low IQ’s. So, why would anyone get angry about this, unless…?

My mom wasn’t able to get her own checking account in the early 80’s. Dad left her with almost nothing. He was charming AF. She never let me forget any of this. So I wanted my own checking account. The fact that you think step parents “can be horribly abusive” is why society hates step parents and why I don’t want to be one. The assumption is built in already. I’ve been judged before I’ve even been given a chance. I don’t know about you, but I’ve met plenty of abusive bioparents. And your statement assumes that the bioparent will allow the new step parent to abuse his/her kids, so… everyone sucks in that scenario.

Was your ex wife a priority? Or were the kids the priority over her, too?

I never wanted to date a single father, but I fell back in love with my high school sweetheart and he had custody of his two kids. We almost moved in together. Things were amazing for a year, then got really bad, really fast. He was long distance, and by year two we were only seeing each other once every 6 months because of his responsibilities (but he could go on vacations galore with them, no problem). His teenage daughter was threatened by me. He couldn’t be on the phone with me when she was …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
