The Nordic countries also have a mild but ever present cost-of-living crisis with inflation, taxation and rising unemployment. The fuzzy and cuddly version of capitalism as practiced in the Nordics is a frequently misunderstood mode of material relations. In reality, there are the same class conflicts playing out in the Nordics, a small productive group of achievers are being worked more and more as labor specializes and the wheat is forced to pay for himself and the chaff through social program…

I agree it’s an unrealistic ask for men, but at the same time, the scenario you’ve described is definetly possible for a woman. There would be multiple guys lining up and she just has to pick the most attractive out of them. The day that men can ask for this same thing will be the day that we have achieved gender equity.

Before you can try to find solutions, you must first accurately assess the causes and effects of the systemic issues. I am under the belief that bluepilled ideology will not allow you to do that. The places with the least reproductive rights have the highest fertility rates. Poverty is positively correlated with fertility. Therefore I’m not convinced it is those things. I wanted to turn this away from attempting to clown on men by essentially bullying them about being unwanted by women, back to …

And you never will. 50% of men between the ages of 18 and 25 will be virgins and you’ll see no problem with it. You’ll watch birth rates plummet below South Korea levels and you’ll keep blaming men. The economy will implode and the most you’ll do is point at whatever puppet happens to be sitting at the top at the time. You see no problem with this. I don’t think you ever will.

Men are not better leaders because of their biology, but psychological biases make men seem like more competent leaders. See also: CEOs tend to be tall. Nobody ever claimed that leadership was doled out for merit. It’s all in the heads of people doing the leader-electing, whether that be in a corporation or a democracy. That’s why gender quotas are misguided.

If MGTOW aren’t female centric, why are 50%+ of posts on MGTOW forums about women?

He wants to find love, but he cannot control whether he gets it. ”Forget about chasing women” is good advice to foreveralone types such as myself because it is something we can control. We can’t change what we want, but we can distract ourselves, so that we avoid dwelling on the rejections and loneliness. There are a lot of good things in life outside of romance.

To me, equating contributing half of genetic material of the soon-to-be-child to buying a box of pasta is disingenuous. Men’s bodies literally are involved with having children. If by ”having children” you mean getting pregnant, sure, but isn’t that begging the question? You say men ”helped”, so you are conceding that mens bodies literally are involved in child-making, you would rather just use wriggle language here. Men have children, men have offspring. You are the offspring of a man. A man ha…

Your conclusion does not follow from the premises. Man indeed do not get pregnant, however, pregancy is not the only bodily function required for reproduction. Men’s bodies do not get pregnant, but men’s bodies are always involved in having children.

The impetus for ”self” improvement never comes from the self, it is quite ironic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 07:26 AM

It’s not even close to 100%. The metric for success is anything other than constant romantic rejection- even one success is deemed a successs. If you ”self improve” (funny how other people made you do that, but I digress) and 99.9% of women still see you as repulsive, but 0.1% are now attracted to you and you are attracted to them, then the whole thing was a success. The metric for success is so low, it couldn’t be lower.

I became friends with women, compete in powerlifting (natural), I have creative hobbies where I’m around a lot of people, I regularly go out of my way to meet new people. I spent a lot of money on talk therapy over the years. The result? If anything, I’ve learned that peoples’ words and actions often don’t match. Still no romantic intrest from women, still just constant rejection. Either you try too hard and don’t treat women as individuals, or its just a numbers game and you need to keep trying…

Dating apps fix probabilities and you are playing against them. Your rational self intrest: find a high-quality partner as easily as possible and as quickly as possible. Dating apps’ intrest: keep you paying on the app as long as possible.

Also on top of being expensive and taking a ton of time and effort, therapy does not work for everyone in every situation. Therapy not working is not a win over psychotherapy, but rather a sinking realisation you blew thousands of hours of free time and a six figure sum to sit in a chair while someone roleplayed as your friend.

And it’s totally normal for men to be sexual beings, human sexuality involves lust and there’s no reason to shame someone for feeling human feelings.

So…. Where exactly is the nonsensical part? https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00265-022-03209-2 Studies like the one above found that woman 100 is less likely to be dating than woman #80.

I think this is such an obvious strawman, I don’t see how anyone could possibly think this way. You go on a bad date with an asshole. You didn’t date an asshole, you just had a bad date. Dating is a plurality of dates with a person. Nobody is shaming women for getting to know people (including assholes) and removing the assholes from their life ASAP. Nobody is asking women to bend time and space. You’re simply strawmanning the whole argument in a ridiculous way. Withold sex, learn to judge a man…

I did that. Even then there are no guarantees. You can end up like me, starting powerlifting at 17 years old because back then I identified strong muscular men as having sex appeal. So don’t do something that you hate, because there is nothing worse than doing something you hate, learning nothing, and not getting whatever it was that drove you into that activity via its cause-effect relationship.

I don't know how you'd quantify "caring more", sure we have experimental evidence for the "women are wonderful" -effect, but being shunned from friends, relatives or other supportive relationships is an outcome or consequence of antisocial behavior. That's also why I mentioned trait agreeableness, because it generally tracks incidence of antisocial behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/22 07:04 AM

Isn’t the fact that men are over-represented in among the unhoused better explained by higher incidence of untreated mental disorders and substance abuse in men? Most people who are more than 2 standard deviations below average in trait agreeableness are also men.

There are no shoulds This is my argument for why we should examine the metaphysics of our morals and make nuanced distinctions- because we yearn for meaning and justice, but nature doesn’t give them to us. The reason why the hypothetical imperative is lacking is because it is so subjective. women are still valued even when they are not means to an end In the example I gave, she was used as a means to signal high status. Can you give me an example where women are valued as not simply as a means t…

You’re conflating value with objectification. It is clear to see “value of a human” as a concept to be separate from the valuation given to something that may or may not be a human, that is then used as a means to an end. Example: I want a sexy wife so I can show her off as a widely-regarded symbol of achievement and status. Or: I want a hardworking husband so that he can provide for my lifestyle. Immanuel Kant contrasted the hypothetical imperative to the categorical imperative. When we are obj…

You're basing your argument solely on the concept of physiological needs. Physiological needs do indeed satisfy the constraints placed on us by the laws of physics, allowing us to keep existing as living organisms. However, this concept of physiological needs is not particularly useful for determining what makes for a good life. While it is technically possible for a human being to exist for a very long time tied down to a bed, hydrated through a drip and fed via feeding tube and having muscles …

And I am saying we should stop letting government encroach on our right to bodily autonomy :)
/r/ExRedPill13/12/21 11:39 AM

That's a slippery slope argument. I don't understand it because voluntary in this case just means we stop prohibiting medical professionals from performing a vasectomy or hysterectomy or some variant on adults who ask for it. Many medical procedures are already voluntary. Cosmetic surgery is a good example. There's no slippery slope here. Saying there is one is like saying that allowing gay marriages will result in the government forcing everyone to have one.

I have a solution: stop breeding. Allow both genders to get voluntarily sterilized via medical procedure at 18. The point is that when we look at the types of people who are in jail because they committed heinous crimes, chances are they: Have a personality disorder Have a substance abuse issue come from broken/ dysfunctional families It would be a lot better if we as a society stopped providing breeding grounds for antisocial individuals to develop in. Let's provide mental health counseling t…

As someone who goes to the gym a lot for decades now, I can say with almost certainty that every single guy in this photo learned to enjoy the process. The endorphins and the routine feel good. The ones who aim for a goal or a result don't get as far. The end result is almost secondary for many people that I know.

I'm 38 and have never been able to grow a beard. It grows on my chin and on my neck, but never on my cheeks despite microneedling/ jaderolling/ chemical treatment, supplementation, etc.

the other things naturally fall into place, including women and sex You shouldn't count on this. You can be happy despite others not sharing your values and not receiving validation from them. In fact, the more you see that working on yourself is working for you, the less you need/ want validation from others. This was the point where I started believing that true happiness came from within. Sincerely, perpetually single man in his late 30s

Are you me? At least I have my own weightroom and sailboat. They never let me down. I stopped focusing on trying to date after COVID started.

Because many men are insecure and desire validation in the form of admiration, just like women? Like yeah, it's a shitty thing that some men do. However, if you're going to call all men hypocrites for that, then we need to talk about women saying they want guys who are "nice, smart, polite" before going off to get choked by a dude with neck tattoos, because while that's hot, she thinks owning it would reflect badly on her.

Is that because: statistically speaking, happy people enter into long-term relationships. or because statistically speaking, long-term relationships make people happy though?

Can we talk about how every other woman just has 3 to 5 emojis in their bio, or an empty bio? Most women don't need to try and they know it. I have all the things u/Sage_Planter mentioned. I get absolutely no results. It's rather brutal.

My psychotherapist disagrees. It was an extremely emotionally intimate relationship according to both. The way I see it, everything is a condition, apart from the observer.

There is a Russian saying: A spoonful of tar will ruin a whole barrel of honey, but a spoonful of honey does nothing to a barrel of tar. Ever seen that meme of a house burning and an old man giving a smiling thumbs up in front of it, with the text “and nothing of value was lost”? That’s how I often feel.

Let me guess, you’re more attractive and tall than average and have a drive/ passion/ conscientious personality and you’re also higher in intelligence than the average man? You always showed concrete signs of your ability to rise, that’s what attracts.

I already don’t have to be a slave to the 9-5 system, I work remotely on a flexible schedule. If I keep living the way I do, I can retire before 60. What will I do with the money once my body is old? I will never get the experiences of relative youthfulness back for any price. Edit: I should mention that actually most of my savings and investments came from inheritance, not working, even though I am constantly saving money myself also

Yes I do most of them because they make me feel better. Usually I enjoy them, yes, except my job (I’ve done quite a lot of job-hopping, even changed employers very recently, actually. My specific programming skills seem to be in high demand.) I mainly do my job because doing it is better than dealing with the consequences of not working (being poor). I enjoy the freedom of being able to put away money every month in savings despite being splurging on things like holidays, bars and clubs and rest…

I have hobbies like powerlifting, yoga, guitar, electronic music production and a career in software development. I meditate daily and write in my diary, engage in ego work (reparenting). I volunteer at the local church every Thursday and Saturday to cook and serve food to primarily low income immigrant families. How do I stop wanting a girlfriend?

I don't have a weight problem :D I can already see many of my ribs and I have a clear 6 pack. My fat percentage is 13%... The healthy range of body fat for men is typically defined as 8-19%, while the healthy range for women is 21-33%. My issue is severe acne. ....but sure, I'll run a fucking marathon, bro. I already cycled around 110km in a single day this past summer. I'll start training for the marathon immediately, should be no issue by the time it rolls around next year.

Yes I’ve tried Retin A and TO products. Curology doesn’t exist here, don’t they just mix ingredients for you? I’ve seen many dermatologists. I’ve been on many antibiotic regimens.

I dont own a car, I ride my bicycle 45min+ every day and like I said, my fat% is at 13 and trying to bring it down below that is something I have attempted numerous times in the past. My body does not like it, besides I can already see many of my ribs and I have a clear 6 pack as it is. I don’t think I want to lower my fat anymore, I’d rather lift heavier for my own enjoyment.

The issue with this approach, however, can be summarized with these two pictures. For me on the other hand, the issue is my skin. The doctors won't prescribe me accutane because of an underlying condition and a bad reaction I had to it which caused me to be hospitalized. I am 13% fat and I can deadlift almost 3x my bodyweight, squat 2x, bench 1.5... you get the idea..

The girl who rejected me last week wanted to remain ”just friends” because I “have always been [her] rock”. The world’s judgements on you don’t always bounce. Some stick and affect the outcome that you live. There’s no use wallowing in despair over this hard fact- it’s just the way the world is. The only thing anyone can do is their best. I spent my college years beings constantly rejected by women. It hasn’t gotten easier after college. In fact, it’s gotten harder to meet new people organically…
