Shit "guide" bro. Beginners' problems are that they don't know what to do in the gym, and follow inefficient guides. Get Starting Strength and read Liam Rosen's guide to fitness (it's short). I recommend against bodyweight exercise for beginners since paradoxically that's actually harder for beginners because you can control the dumbbell weights but you can't control your bodyweight.
