After a conversation in another topic I've come to the conclusion that the average woman's priorities are very different than mine and thus for them yes it is absolutely easy and better to be female.

Women are so damn spoiled by now that many of them thing manspreading is oppression or catcalling is violence. You have to live a pretty goddamn cushy life to have those thoughts. Manspreading and catcalling are dumb things to get worked up over, true, but I'm tired of people acting like women live these pampered, problemless lives. To put it in perspective, I'm disabled and being a woman has caused far, far more problems and anguish in my life than being disabled ever has. This isn't to say tha…

I wouldn't even want to be un-disabled, honestly. I would also take being 6 inches taller, though. I'm sick of having to hem all my pants even though I'm gosh danged average height.

A-ha, there it is. To answer your topic I'd agree with you: young straight white women have it the easiest. However, ease is not the only measure of quality of life. I propose that the closer you are to average or below average, the better it is to be a woman. The further above average you get, the better it is to be a man. In fact, I think there is almost no advantage (and sometimes there are disadvantages) to being very far above average as a woman in any area but looks. As a woman who agrees …

Ok, you got me, the fist part is metal, the arm part is plaster. Plaster that's strong enough to break a bone if you land on it the wrong way (yes this happened to me...).

I agree with many Red Pill tenants and RPW guidelines of how to behave in a relationship. I don't label myself as such because: I have trouble applying certain RP concepts to myself even if I can apply them to women as a whole, therefore it doesn't feel right to call myself red pill. I don't want any potential RPW PMing me looking for RP advice because frankly I'm a bit of a Negative Nancy at times. My arm is made of metal and I'm going to play the cyborg card at every possible opportunity.

I agree with this. It's been proven time and time again that people tend to be happier with what they have if it's not so easy to trade it all in for something else. I'd bet ore effort would be put into working out little problems, too.

Well, I've got no date to give a BJ to, but I suppose I can make a steak... For the record I think Valentine's Day is pretty pointless and would probably not like to celebrate it even if I had a boyfriend. Mostly because, like I said, everything is so goddamn busy that day.

I can potentially understand the intent behind "safe spaces", if that particular forum is designed to be more of a hang-out for feminists than anything to do with serious activism. In that case, yes, I can see why they wouldn't want to engage every anti-feminist that storms in, just like people on a Pokemon forum wouldn't want to engage every person who hates Pokemon and thinks it's for babies. Sometimes you just want to relax and chat with like-minded people and that's okay. The problem isn't t…

I think it's because women tend to place more value on social traditions than men. Would it be better to choose another arbitrary day to celebrate on, where every damn restaurant won't be absolutely packed with couples? Yes, but then she'd feel left out when everyone else is doing it. I honestly don't think it comes down to anything as devious and malicious as seeing how much worthless shit he'll do for her, but rather wanting it because that's what everyone else is doing.

All men (if they approach) generally approach hot women. All women generally select the hottest man they can get. Hotties end up with hotties.

Do you really think women crave no excitement beyond loading the dishwasher? That their dreams have no reach beyond doing day-to-day menial domestic tasks, and that they actually find those tasks fun and stimulating? Really? Women want adventure, too. They have escapist fantasies (and they aren't even about getting better dishwashers). Women don't do these chores because they're hyped about them, they do them because they need to get done. Just like you're probably not hyped about going to the o…

Hey now! I'm unattractive and not a feminist. But yeah, it's hard for us disabled folk to see our bodies as our best assets, so I can understand why some women dislike objectification. Sometimes you're just not hot and wish your other assets were equally appreciated. I think feminists go about fighting it in piss poor ways though. Slut walking and trying to make unhot into hot is useless.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/15 02:10 AM

I think white knight can be a valid way to describe certain phenomena, though. If the whole post is "Stop white knighting, idiot!!" that's not productive, but the concept of white knighting as a whole seems relevant to PPD, not something that should be grouped in with smarmy stuff like 'alfalfa' and 'muh oppreshuns' or whatever.

That's absolutely true. I personally can't stand it when women keep doing things they hate because society. BUT, that said, the constraints women place on each other are utterly meaningless if the individual chooses not to care what those other women think.

Because people see "man upset that he can't get sex or relationships with women". They interpret it as "man wishes women who were obviously not attracted to him would have had sex with him out of obligation anyways" instead of "man wishes he was attractive so women would be happy to have sex with him".

The Unmasking Feminism article was really interesting, thanks for posting it. I've always wondered, though, are "the mistakes are happy, the normal women aren't" and "the normal women are happy, the mistakes aren't" the only two options? Will society ever advance enough to accommodate both the average and the outlier, or must one "lose"?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/15 11:21 PM

I suppose, but again I don't think that's unique to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/15 10:39 PM

Neither men nor women are the borg or a hydra. Both men and women have trends, social expectations, and group norms that they tend to follow. Women are more likely to follow them to a greater degree and are less likely to actively oppose them. That's my take on it. Things like feminist terms and fashion are for the most part decided by a few in-charge trendsetters and the average person tends to go along with it. It's not something women collectively agree on at the same time, there is a definit…

They're just trends, man. Trends and popular ideas. Not something unique to women as some sort of group think. That's like saying men have group think because of Reddit memes.

Huh. I haven't really seen that since high school. Then again, I haven't hung out in female groups of more than 2-3 since high school and even in high school I tended to be an observer with a couple friends but no "group". I personally despise the collective a lot of women have because they never get anything done. Good luck trying to pick a movie if even one girl in a 10 person group doesn't want to watch it. All ten have to fucking agree. I guess that's why I haven't seen much of it, maybe. I …

I'd say I see them being overly conformist sometimes, for example agreeing with two different, conflicting opinions depending on who they're talking to (like 'that movie was bad' and 'I loved that movie'). I also think individual women are less likely to rock the boat if they disagree with a majority opinion. But nothing I'd describe with an extreme term like 'collective mentality'. When I read that all I can think is that their thoughts are literally hive-mind connected to each other. Obviously…

Honestly, I'm not sure I believe in a collective anything. I've never felt this supposed woman groupthink herd instinct and I don't pick up on social cues. To put it bluntly, I'm pretty socially retarded and I don't care what other women think of me anyways. I think it's less a collective consciousness and more what happens when you have a bunch of very socially savvy women who care a lot what other women think of them.

Because if my SO doesn't give me that kind of love I don't think I'll ever get it. I'm disabled in a way that people can immediately notice. From what I've gleaned from TRP...men are loved for their confidence, their leadership, their strength, their ability to provide. Women's love for men comes from a place of respect. Yes, that also means it's conditional, but I think the love women have for men is too often considered inferior to the love men have for women. Truth be told, I don't WANT unconditional love. I thought men preferred feminine-looking but masculine behaving women. I figured hot girl with man personality would be the ideal so that's what I strived to be. I realize now that many men really want a feminine personality in their woman, even if they gripe about how they wish their girlfriend was more direct/didn't like to shop so much/etc. I still don't understand it. I've never gotten the whole opposites attract thing. I want a mate who is as similar to me as possible. But apparently most p…

I want to be an innovator, a true creative mind. Self-actualized and enlightened. It's possible for a woman I guess, but a lot rarer. Furthermore I want to be strong. I want to be powerful. I want to have people who look up to me, who would consider me their rock. I want respect and trust. I guess to say I have no interest in being loved is a lie, but I want to be loved like men are loved, not like women are loved.

I have a low digit ratio, and I have some of those characteristics but not all. I'm definitely not butch looking, no 'manjaw' etc, and I have a low sex drive/low risk taking behavior in general. My interests tend towards masculine things and in work or school related group contexts I usually default towards leader, though. I also don't have a right hand though, where the ratio is apparently more pronounced. I wonder what it would have been.

I think I have the opposite problem. Succeeding by female standards wouldn't fulfill me as I don't place much value on love and family and relationships...but I worry my female-ness may prevent me from succeeding by masculine (achievement-driven) standards, too. I was much happier as a blue pill "women can do anything men can do" type - it's been a tough pill to swallow that there may be no chance at fulfillment for me in this life. But I suppose no human man or woman can know if they'll succeed…

Great quote. I think (and it's totally understandable that TRP doesn't tackle this issue as it's aimed at men) that as a woman, realizing that you might not be able to meet the standards you've held yourself to is just as painful as men realizing women can't meet the standards they've held them to. The tragedy of mediocrity is not often discussed because it can seem quite greedy and selfish to people who have experienced the tragedy of utter failure - but it is a profound little tragedy in its o…

I believe it's because, as I said below, most AWALT traits aren't "good person" traits. For example, evolution-wise, it's absolutely better for women to be selfish and let men do the difficult and risky work, because it's better for the birth rate to have more wombs than more dicks. It's also beneficial for women to have a higher bell curve and generally have less variation than men, because if all the men in one generation end up being defects at least the women are there to keep things from sl…

I generally agree with you - at the same time I know that it's not how I, personally, WANT to be. There's not much you can do when what you are and what you want to be are two different things, but if I accepted that I was an AWALT I don't think I could ever be happy or anything but self-loathing. I want to be valuable to society, not just my offspring. I want to love my husband as selflessly as he would love me, whether it's what I evolved for or not. But what can I do about it? I really honest…

I think the thing a lot of people have difficulty with - myself included - is that while the AWALT traits are what's best for the survival of the species, they are heavily at odds with what is considered a "good person" in society. The "good person" traits are, for the most part, masculine traits. Most people don't see hypergamy, gold digging, and AF/BB as positive traits because they work to secure good genes and resources for children - they see them as selfish on the woman's part and hurtful …

Or if we're talking about some ethereal concept of "worth as a human being". I guess kind of? I mean, I'm not talking about what that low SMV man can do for women specifically. He doesn't need to be doing a single thing specifically for women to be doing good for humanity. He could pursue a PhD instead of doing a girl's homework, design a helpful program instead of fixing a girl's computer, etc. I guess that's still somewhat utilitarian, but honestly I see relationships as utilitarian as well. I…

I am a female. I don't think attraction is rational; a lot of things people do that are good for humanity as a whole don't do a thing to raise SMV while a lot of behaviors that are quite frankly anti-social do. So it would be naive for me to think that all unattractive men are just wastes of space. Honestly, I think a lot of people underestimate the importance women put on looks. This includes women, who often feel as if they should be attracted exclusively to personalities or they're a No Good …

I definitely think a lot of female comedians need to tone down the shock value if they want to appeal to more than just other women. I went to see a male comedian once who made nothing (literally nothing) but sex jokes for the entire routine and, while he wasn't a terrible performer, it just wasn't funny to me. I imagine men listening to women joke about nothing but periods and sex from the female perspective and bad dates feel the same way.

I don't get why so many women have no motivation to achieve...the only motivation I need is "I don't want to be forgotten when I die". And yeah, the bell curve thing is what really bugs me. I don't want to be another dull woman sitting at the top of the bell curve. I'm already disabled - my body is shit, if my brain is nothing special either I've got nothin' to make up for it. Oh yeah, I wouldn't be any happier being a mediocre man. I just think men have a higher chance of being not-mediocre, flatter bell curve and all. Being a high achiever is basically my only goal in life and while being a woman won't make me stop trying, I sure worry that my womanhood dooms me to mediocrity.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 04:49 PM

Well purely for sex yeah but relationship-wise and overall society-wise I've always found that women seem to need men more/depend on them more. I guess men seem to DESIRE women way more than women desire men, and women seem to NEED men more than men need women? I'd rather not be aware of it, honestly, I kind of despise it and wish I was still carrying the delusion that women were identical to men :P Unless there's a way to crush my nature altogether, then bring it on. Mostly anything about intellectual inferiority (or at least, intellectual mediocrity), lack of capacity for great achievement, or immaturity/being slaves to emotions. Yep, I absolutely agree. I used to be a hardcore feminist, because I honestly worried that I was inferior and just wanted everyone to shut up about gender and never generalize again so I wouldn't have to feel shitty. However, when it comes to their two kids, she's definitely the boss. She pushes them to do well in school, take extra-curricular activities, and in general is less forgiving and focused on improvement and fixing mistakes. My uncle is the one who my cousins will go to if they need a shoulder to cry on, or someone…

I recall a one-armed girl on intjforum saying the same thing - that she thought it was partly the cause of her romantic hardships. But I really have trouble seeing that. Ha, the one-armed army is growing! Don't worry, there won't be a hostile takeover or anything probably... And I think there are factors other than the physical attractiveness, and these barriers are difficult to break down without personally getting to know me. Financial abortion is allowed in cases where the mother wants to keep the baby and the father doesn't. If the father isn't present or can't be contacted it should be assumed that he'll be financially aborting so the woman can make her own choices promptly. Child custody is 50/50 by default unless there are special circumstances (as in, mom's house is 5 minutes away from school, dad's house is 2 hours away) where alternative arrangements might be preferable. Custody should be worked out among par…

Definitely /r/CuteFemaleCorpses There is absolutely no reason to divide it by gender and cuteness like that. It makes me think they're more interested in the cute female part than the corpse part, and you can see cute females anywhere. What if I want to look at ALL corpses? Am I going to have to subscribe to TWO subreddits to get the male ones? What if I want to see the less cute corpses too? Where are my refined and elegant corpses? The specificity of that subreddit is inefficient and terrible.

I'd be interested to know how many of these women exhibit dark triad traits themselves. It seems like people play up the "good girl goes for bad boy" trope a lot, but I have to wonder if that's true. Are they just perceived as good and sweet and nice by the people they're attracted to, perhaps? EDIT: Not that I think "good girl goes for bad boy" never happens, but I almost never see it mentioned that jerks might go for jerks and have a hard time believing all these girls are just sweet cute girl…

I think you have some misconceptions about how easy it is to be an ugly woman. Sure, you could probably get casual sex with a drunk guy, but as a woman in her 20s who has never even been flirted with I can attest that there aren't 50+ men lining up to date me. Not even the ugly ones. Even ugly people on't generally pursue other ugly people and when they do it's a last resort and no one wants to be the last resort.

I'm talking about disabilities in general, I know mine is generally on the milder side although non-looks-wise it comes with a bunch of other untrue assumptions (people think I'd be inconvenient to be around because a one armed person can't drive, for example - I can drive very well). This type of behavior applies to all people too unattractive to be romantically successful, really, there are just more men in that category than women. The disabled population has a ton of self-proclaimed asexuals because being raised with the attitude that you shouldn't expect anyone to ever be romantically interested in you eventually makes you say "ok, fuck it, I'll do something else". I was raised that way. I never dreamed of romance as a kid or a teenager and even now, though I long for it…

Agree - although, I think the type of power women tended to have was less 'real' in that it relied on being likable or pleasing to someone with the REAL power to exert her will. To me, real power exists whether the person wielding it is likable or not. Women may have power that comes from being loved, but they don't often have power that comes with being feared.

Generally biological, there are definitely average qualities men and women tend to have. Also societal need: there are going to be outliers, but before modern times the male gender role required physical strength that a woman just couldn't have even if she really really wanted to, and most societies couldn't afford to have able bodied young men at home caring for children. I'd give anything to be part of that male competition. Women don't compete for shit, and men don't like competing with women, but competition is the only thing that drives me. To attain superiority is my only real goal. Men are disposable, but women are nature's boring control group stuck in the crab bucket with every other dang woman out there. Why? Why can't marriage be an exchange, where the man provides resources, and the woman provides her body? What is the issue with that? Because then a woman's worth is based primarily in her body and not her actions, her personality, her accomplishments, her intelligence, or anything else about her, and that sucks. For the record, I agree with you: life isn't fair, and the resources-body exchange is how it works, but it sucks and I can see why people would try to change it.

Because interacting with other real minds is the only "real" thing that really matters to me. Interacting entirely with your own mind would be too predictable and boring, and interacting with computer generated NPCs just isn't the same. In virtual reality, your mind is your only limitation. No, we haven't. The difference between virtual reality and heroin is our ability to share that experience with others. Even if taking heroin resulted in completely realistic hallucinations that were completely under my control (which I bet it doesn't although I've never done heroin), if other people couldn't partake it would just be all in my head. Shared experience is, in my opinion, what makes reality real.

Yeah. Women have inherent vale, but have a difficult time transcending that and being valued for actions rather than the fact that they were born with a vagina. Women will never lack for anything I say this as a woman who does, in fact, believe that most of the statements in the OP are true: that society is willing to comfort women does not even slightly make up for having to BE a woman.
