I wouldn’t settle - you deserve love and a partner who is genuinely interested in your thoughts and interests. Yeah, not everything will align (my husband loves video games) but it’s easier to try and care for a few bits and bobs over everything. I don’t agree with the “great but not for me,” opinion though; lots of people are great and don’t need to provide me anything. In a weird way, my brother is one of my best friends and he’s great! But he’s (obviously) not for me. I have many male and fem…

I’m a home body who wanted* kids. If you’re a playboy who likes to party, doesn’t want kids, likes to host big events and always be around people, it doesn’t matter how lovely you are; I will be miserable being your partner. Maybe I just don’t care for your interests (sports, politics etc.) but you’re a great friend in groups. Maybe you’re too messy, smoke too much, I don’t camp or enjoy the outdoors - if you do I’m not going to make both of our lives miserable because i refuse to go etc., there…

20% I’ve met plenty of men who are really great, maybe not for me; but definitely someone. If I imagine a line of 10 men, there’s usually 2 of them I can’t think of any woman I’d want saddled with. In reverse, I did the thought experiment on women and also gave it 20% - but I actually see more bias in this because my expectation was higher. Interesting to consider internally.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/25 03:46 PM

It’s interesting to consider the inability to flip the script. How would men feel if they were essentially forced to partner up with a woman, sure she had a good job and made good money - but that money was hers. She looked average, she could do whatever she pleased within the society; as long as she kept up a good front he had to put up with her indiscretions and be grateful there’s a roof over his head. All while working endlessly both within and outside the home. Would he be happy? I mean, he…

This is interesting because every woman I know has given so much compassion (from girlhood to adulthood) and has been burnt by it, by the “bad apples” of men. At some point it’s created the angry, and spiteful feminist of today. It’s a bitter and unfair cycle.

If you want to talk about the “provider/protector” you’re talking more ancient anthropology vs. modern dating. Regarding ancient anthropology, the male collected and fought other males to show his worthiness. He didn’t necessarily chase, but he also didn’t necessarily not. More so he proved his value by artificially increasing it via food/shelter scarcity (because he had so much of it and would kill anyone who tried to take it) & because of this scarcity, he had to protect it from others trying …

Whoa how did you get to being raped from a playful “no sex” comment? I hope this is a bot.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 10:45 PM

So according to this post, no sex for you then. hehehe
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 07:49 PM

& clearly the women don’t either. That’s not their problem to fix. Time to pivot and try something new ;-)

I knew a lad who liked when his girlfriend stepped on his balls. What you sound like is if I made a statement that “I don’t understand why all men are lying about liking their balls being stepped on.” The reality? Some men do, most men, do not. That doesn’t disqualify the men who love it, but it’s an incorrect assumption to assume all other men must be lying that they don’t prefer that. Edit to add: and then telling men they don’t understand their bodies if they say they don’t like it.

I think experiences differ greatly from location to location and age; that being said, of my younger millennial friends it is very common for a man to do that without previous conversation or consent. We are women so we get a specific subset. I’m glad to hear it isn’t common in your circles however!

I also think - just a thought, not my belief. Maybe bigger dicks “look better to our primal brain” and it’s all for show. For men, it’s intimidating. For women, it’s a show. Just like perky large breasts sound incredible BUT in the real world the back pain and inconvenience and sagging as we age sounds miserable. In a fantasy world it’s what is preferred. But in reality I adore my smaller chest that has gone through pregnancy and breastfeeding and real life and maintained its natural beauty and …

Haven’t seen or heard of that so I can’t agree or disagree, but I’ll take your word for it. What I have seen has been very “plot” heavy and “emotional”.

I agree until the last statement. We are just as visual. Difference is we pay the consequences of the bad positions (painful), of the too large dick (painful), the aggressive choking (can be scary when done wrong and painful)… society has been telling me i’m too fat since i was 90lbs soaking wet. I am completely at peace with that in my late twenties. I also understand porn is made mostly for the male gaze, it’s not made for what’s good for me. That helps.

Because men tend to have lower standards in the sense of hooking up. My husband had an easy time finding women who wanted to really date, but a harder time finding women to sleep with. I had an easy time finding men who wanted to sleep with me rather than want a committed relationship. This isn’t new, love.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/25 10:46 AM

It’s funny too because regarding the show he’s referencing, she wasn’t just mean to be mean, she was a victim of her topless photos being shared to the school. She was literally a victim of child porn. She still bullied, and wasn’t okay. But we can empathise with a bullied boy but not a bullied girl?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/25 01:16 AM

I was boy crazy from the point of puberty. A good portion of boys liked me, but weren’t my type. At that age I didn’t realise that was the case. All I saw was the countless boys who rejected and didn’t like me back. It hurt, but eventually I’d find someone with mutual attraction. I didn’t have my first proper boyfriend till 21, even he rejected me first. Before that I went on countless tinder dates and so many men wanted to sleep with me, but didn’t want to date me reciprocally. Long story short…

Where do you live? In Canada I’ve been gobsmacked to see how slow, expensive and painful the custody process is. Dead beat dad is not abusive but completely off this planet and stops by when convenient for him, works under the table etc., mum (coworker) has his boss in writing saying dad gets paid under the table. Courts told her without more proof that’s not enough. She doesn’t even want money, although will obviously take it. She just wants right to primary parenting so she can enroll the kid …

I know of a fair amount of dead beat “she’s only after my money” dads. In the current age, I’ve asked them outright why they don’t just drop groceries for the kids week, clothes for a new season, diapers, organise a sport and then just pay for it; you know, put the money in the kids pocket so the “woman can’t steal it.” The responses I got varied from “but I don’t know what size my child is,” “i’m too busy,” “that’s not my job.” It’s pretty bleak, especially since you can just do all of this onl…

Unfortunately no, throughout history we’ve had brothels and concubines. Men do not magically only chase women they only want her companionship from. If anything this teaches men that some women can be used and are property because he’s “paid”. In an ideal world, sex work would be obsolete because women are not tools, nor should their bodies be commodities.

Man that is not how a trusting easy marriage works. My husband makes almost twice my wage but slightly less hours. Nothing special, he just sends emails all day. I stopped being a resident to become an Optometrist because he LOVES his job and it was his dream. I just did mine at the time because I was told to once upon a time. Now I’m a simple admin so I can take more care of the home and our kids. I’m just as happy. I could have made 2-3x the amount he does but he didn’t want to lose his career…

It’s not worth debating with you. As a happily married woman, to a man who truly loves me - don’t get married. Ever. Please. It is better for both your insecurities and the woman you would take advantage of in projection of those insecurities.

I don’t know man, there’s two main types of sex; love making and fucking. The former is very emotional, the latter very physical. Many men want the latter and outside of a relationship, will always be transactional and merely physical, even if great.

I’m going to get downvoted for this comment but I want it clear prior that I told my husband if he ever doubted that our daughter wasn’t his, he’s free to do a paternity test. I said that because he’s white, i’m asian/white biracial, and our daughter came out more asian than me. They’re weighed differently. More men physically and financially abuse women than women fake parentage. I know there’s no way to have confidence in the numbers of women who lie about this as it’s not wildly tested. But w…

It’s amazing you chose a woman’s right to vote as a comparison when there’s a flawless comparison of a woman’s right to sex that was right there. Holy shit. Closing my gaping mouth for a second at how ridiculous all that was to read - & as a women who is high libido with a man who can’t and genuinely doesn’t want to meet my “sexual needs” why can I have so much empathy for him? He’s a person who has a right to choose if he has sex or not. I can’t force him to. I especially hope he gives that kin…

It’s like the housing crisis - we all loosely know about it. It affects some of us a lot more than others (men vs. men who don’t care vs. men who do vs. women who orgasm vs. women who don’t) but what are we really doing about it? Nothing. All around the world nothing is really happening to prevent and help the housing crisis. Just a lot of important people spewing statistics.

imo the sahp if the children are under 8 give or take 2+ years. I’ve been a full time sahm, a nanny in my youth, and now work full time in a high stress position 9+ hours a day, and have a daughter. Days don’t end with her. It wasn’t mentally hard, but always being on and always providing with nothing to show for it really wears me away, doing all those nights and sick days alone… while often being sick myself and unable to rest… I was a shell of myself. Is your mother special to you? Is the (probable) sacrifices and love she’s given you since birth given her any unique love that maybe only you, your siblings (if you have them), and grandparents admire? She’s probably nothing special to well over the 8 billion people on this planet. But I hope, you see her for what she is… special. Because if she was a good mother, and assuming she is, you are special to her. Out of every baby on this planet, you’re genuinely one of the most special. I’m a mothe…

I bet you the majority of those romantic tropes you’re thinking of are written by men 🤭 That being said, my husband has slept with significantly more people than I have; and I saw it as a red flag. Mix it with his personality at the time. (Young, over confident, fuck boy who never dated to date. Just casual hook ups for 8 years). & that was a problem (for us) because he just didn’t know how to be a stable partner even though he really liked me and wanted me. Your RP broad brush is wrong as is mo…

unconditional love exists for the average population in one place only… children. I can tell you if my husband hit me, bit me and yelled at me daily, I would not love him, we’d consider that abuse. With my one year old, well she’s innocent and is learning these actions are bad very slowly. The love from parents to children is most often unconditional based on that innocence. As time passes and the child learns, matures and grows the love between a parent and their child also becomes conditional.…

wtf no it’s not? I’d let you argue that works for some women, because painting with a broad brush never works. But I can confidently say that it’s not “instinct”, I don’t know any woman who does. Worst case it’s female competition, and this is me desperately trying to get on your level.

I’m Eastern Asian… this is the dating woman you’re talking about. The girlfriend is a trad wife fantasy. Then you get married and reality hits. Asian wives and mums are MEAN and are firm, heavy handed people who expect more than most men can give. Westerners have such a strange false view of what a home life really looks like with these women. I’m still scared of my mother, so is my father

i think it’s you who doesn’t read this stuff. Correlation doesn’t mean causation. Yes, there’s more of an age gap (after a first marriage) but that has more to do with slim pickings than anything you’re suggesting. Less option in your 5+/- (because they’re already married/in monogamous relationships) means more likely to date within a wider range. It’s basic math.

Yeah, nothing would change for my husband and I’d have one less mouth to feed… but then I lose the wonderful man I’ve made a life with so he can keep freeloading until the masters he completed that I pay for starts to pay off. Gosh I don’t know a single woman who is living off their man (obviously anecdotal). I pay for everything and he has the low sex drive… I don’t hold that over him. Nobody owes anybody anything. Haha what? The question does not pose the viewpoint against women. I have the same viewpoint that porn should be consumed by adults in moderation, men or women. Get your head out of you ass and stop trying to be angry. You’re talking to a woman who’s very into all those things… but let me tell you; the difference between a man who cares that you’re into those things, and a man who takes advantage that you’re into those things, are VERY different in the bedroom.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/23 02:51 PM

Porn ruins how men view healthy, normal sex. It indirectly teaches young boys (bc the average age of viewers who first watch porn is 11) that woman are just fuck dolls to be used, consumed and replaced. Not how to pleasure her, treat her like a human and or even how real sex feels like. Porn for an adult single man used once in a while to get off? Fantastic. But that’s not what porn has been for a very long time and we need to stop pretending that it has been. Lastly, the entitlement that men de…

I went to best buy to buy some new headphones because mine had fried. He approached me as an associate and tried to sell me headphones, he did and off I went. In our short discussion he learnt that I spoke German and he was born and bred Ukrainian - that I also worked at the shop down the street. The next day he came into my work, had memorised how to ask me to coffee in German. I’m a SAHM and keeping my house clean, husband fed, and kid constantly entertained, educated, meanwhile caring for pets is not hard, but it is exhausting as it never ends, especially when one of us gets sick (me and child). So I have to politely disagree, I don’t know what you do in a day, but my days are delightfully full and it definitely is a form of work. Do your kids go to daycare? Or are you WFH and SAHD?

I can’t recall the study I was reading so you’ll have to take this at face value: it said something along the lines as in the first 3 minutes of meeting a person we (both men and women) place them into two categories, good long term partner, bad long term partner and then in two more subcategories; I’d procreate with, I would not procreate with. Now these categories can be changed and adjusted with further information but it takes more work when we are placed in the “wrong” one for what we as th…

For me as a woman, I’ll just be honest, I don’t want to have to deal with the kids mum. I’d love to raise kids as my own, but I know I’d struggle if the two parents raised their child in a way I thought was irresponsible (bratty, whiny, entitled kid for example) to know I have no right in helping correct the behaviour without possibly overstepping boundaries?
