I think that if you’re committing to having a baby together you should also feel ready to commit to being married, not “somewhere down the line” but as soon as possible. That’s my two cents

To me it’s important. I need to find someone physically and sexually attractive in order to envision a relationship with them

Joking around about dating other people when you’re in a relationship isn’t a good place to start. You should be honest about your boyfriend with the friend who tried to get you to go after this other guy. And a lull in text conversation almost never means anything important, just means that they aren’t texting at that moment. Also, this sub might not be the best place to learn about dating at such a young age. I think it’s fine for you to read and take some things from here, but remember that t…

I mean you could call this victim blaming if you’re making the decision based on the fact that she was cheated on by one singular partner, but if it’s a recurring thread in most of her relationships, then yeah I see where you’re coming from. Not necessarily a deal breaker but a flag worth evaluating.

Make sure that everything you wear looks clean (no pit stains!) and that the colors are coordinated. Personally I stay away from neon colors and tend toward neutrals and earth tones that are flattering on my skin. The bright colors often found in workout clothes don’t look very nice in my opinion. Wearing your hair down would make the look more feminine, as would some simple jewelry. But I wouldn’t make the hair and jewelry too fancy as that would clash with the casual vibe of the clothes. Gotta…

Ah yes I like how you mention things to do in the future and recipes to try, like you’re reminding him of how you’ll be able to serve him when you’re together. Thank you for the reply!

This sounds like an amazingly strong relationship, and the part about writing letters is especially sweet. Thank you for sharing your story!!

Some people communicate more emotionally over text/the phone than others. Perhaps you two have different digital communication styles. I find that FaceTime is the best (though still very imperfect) way to communicate in an LDR. I don’t like having real conversations through text. I think you might feel more secure after having a conversation with him. It’s always good to get on the same page as your partner.

I’m grateful that I have the disposable income to invest in my skincare, a haircut, and clothes that make me feel wonderful. Especially the beautiful little box of jewelry that I’ve been collecting throughout my travels.

I use google drive spreadsheets for work and I really like them. As long as you aren’t doing anything too complicated (things that only work in Excel) it’s great because you can access it on your phone too and share it with your family digitally if you’d like. Oh and they save automatically as you work which is a huge plus.

To echo what another poster said, men in these situations might feel pressure to not approach or “hit on” women at these events in an effort to preserve workplace equality and professionalism and to prevent gender-related conflicts (harassment allegations, allegations of not taking women as seriously as men.) They may be interested in you, but you need to show them more clearly that you are interested too and make it obvious that it’s okay to approach you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
