"What's your number?" Or "hey. What's your number?" You're making this too complicated, just break the conversation and ask Give her your phone to punch it in herself, like you already know she'll do it

If you're interested, there's theory about how the left was lost once it abandoned class as its core and became a loose coalition of identity groups. I think there was a book written on the subject: Stayin' Alive: The 1970s and the Last Days of the Working Class

If it were a guardianship or conservatorship, you'd be forced to account for every penny. Just sayin'

IMO, it matters less how the term is techinically defined, and more how it's viewed by observers -- i.e., people in the mainstream whose entire exposure to MR might be that one rant they saw about "manginas."

My concern in this issue is mostly about how the term makes the speaker appear. It's an awful rhetorical device. Think about how extreme women appear when they start talking about "womyn." I can promise you, in the eyes of a disinterested observer, "womyn" is bad. That same person is going to see "mangina" is 100x worse. If you really need an insult, I guess it works as an insult, but it's going to destroy your credibility in the mainstream. My takeaway point is that you need to address your phr…

You're deluded if you think using the word "mangina" seizes some moral high ground. It makes you look like you're on the fringe.

isn't there some kind of requirement that you hold yourself out as a married couple though?

Why is it a fair question? We don't have at-fault divorce...

Common law marriage has been abolished in most US states, although I think a a couple of states that still have it are big states, Texas and New York maybe -- I'm not sure which.

I think it makes sense for a short period of time, in a situation where you have at-fault divorce. The at-fault party should owe some reasonable support while the other person gets back on their feet, especially if the not-at-fault party agreed to forgo a career to become a homemaker. However, we don't have at-fault divorce, and alimony is more like, "We were married, I left, now pay me forever."

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
