Those women might not be typical women, but they are still seen as the gold standard by most men (to date) and women (to be).

And celebrity women whose entire personality is personal trainers, plastic surgery and eating nothing but bone broth and air.

This is the latest most annoying thing I've ever read on this god forsaken site.

That's not what they are saying at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 11:58 PM

Suggesting that 5 year olds are capable of sexual attraction is really, really gross.

Attractiveness in general is subjective. What point are you trying to make here? All I was saying is that being well groomed is desirable.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 11:35 AM

Groomed is subjective to each individual. That means choosing a style that best suits your face and facial hair situation. For some that means no facial hair. My husband doesn't grow a lot of hair on his cheeks and has rocked a goatee for most of his adult life. When he lets it all grow in and doesn't groom it he gives me bushman vibes. Groomed in any style is more attractive than not groomed at all.

The difference in attractiveness is staggering with a well groomed beard. It's disingenuous not to admit this.

You sound like someone who has never spoken to a woman. Some women might prefer no body hair but a lot of us would prefer it if society didn't care and I could go to the pool with hairy legs.

Men don't have to shave their faces to be socially accepted. Groomed, sure, but beards are considered pretty attractive in most industries and cultures.

I could say the exact same thing about beards.

Men have beards!!! Do you know how much I would pay to have something grow on my face to hide my double chin?! Don't pretend like men don't groom themselves to appear more attractive. Also, men can wear makeup too.

You're painting in generalities here. They didn't say "all women are happier single" they just said that some are.

This is the thing that I don't get about red pill theory. I know plenty of single women who don't want or can't get casual sex. The idea that every woman in the world is one click away from getting laid is insane and honestly laughable.

You have to remember that in the red pill world every single woman is a slut who dates men much older than her. There's literally no place for happily married people in this belief system.

Are you trying to say that happily married monogamous men don't exist?

Met my husband in grade 12, happily married with children 17 years later. Your logic does not apply in all cases like you seem to believe.

You're an idiot.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/23 06:13 PM

It's a joke! No one is actually arguing that. It is taking a situation and exaggerating it to make a point. That's how jokes work!
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/23 05:01 PM

People make such a big deal about age gaps that they won't accept any age gaps. Relationships are only okay if the couple were born on the same day. It's funny because it's a highly unlikely and quite absurd proposition.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/23 04:43 PM

It was literally a joke

More to my point that libido and desire are very individual

Is it really though? Most people aren't primed for sex at the drop of a hat. Maybe when we were younger, sure, but as adults with children it's not exactly feasible to be in the mindset for it all of the time.

I assure you that in the 16 years we have been together I have tried just asking and usually he "isn't in the mood" if I just spring it on him like that He's saying that when he's hungry, any meal will do, but if he's not hungry then he has to be convinced to eat.

Do you know what is really turning me off from marriage, it is being a father. First of all. Getting married doesn't mean you have to have kids. There are plenty of women who have chosen to be child free these days. I feel like the father will always be a secondary character a mother helper a sperm donor a piggy bank. Its 2023, men aren't always, by default, the bread winners in a house hold. I know several personally who have chosen to stay home and raise their kids so that the mother can work.…

Women's testosterone levels also fluctuate during their monthly cycle. So while men might "generally" have more I don't think that libido makes them proposition women more than women proposition men. I truly think it just comes down to individual personalities. Introverted people are less likely to hit on people than extroverts are. It's not a men/women thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 07:30 PM

Testosterone is positively correlated with higher sex drive. Some women have higher testosterone than other women, some men have lower testosterone than other men. It's an individual thing.

Men express their sexuality more openly than women? Excuse me? Have you met men!? Women are much more likely to wear their promiscuity on their sleeve as far as I'm concerned. We also express it differently. When I want to be intimate with my husband I'll get gussied up, cook him a nice dinner, make him dinner, spend some genuine quality time with him to show him that I'm interested. When he wants to it's just "hey, wanna fuck?" No build up, no wine and dine. Expressing the desire to have sex vs…

This is a very good point. Women do have periods where they are more or less likely to be looking for sex based on their hormones and cycle but I still don't think it proves the argument that women don't proposition men as frequently as men proposition women

In my 16 year relationship I have more often been the one with the higher libido instigating intimacy with my husband. Libido isn't a male/female thing, it's completely individual. I think approaching other people comes down to introvert and extrovert personalities more than anything.

You think she just straight up lied about her disability? She lost her sight and hearing as a child, I would think it would.be pretty difficult to pull off such an act at that age. But I digress. All I said was that she had a successful and fulfilling life, but we don't have to focus on her. John Nash, born 1928, died 2015, was a paranoid schizophrenic and won a nobel prize. Frida Kahlo had polio at 6 and was bed ridden for most of her life but still became one of the most famous painters of our…

I didn't say that online communities can cure physical illness. Although, if your mental health is in a good place then you are more likely to make your physical health a priority and take care of yourself better than if you were depressed and lonely, even if you are disabled or injured.

I've found internet communities integral to my mental health. There are great spaces out there where you can connect with like minded people. I'm sorry you're going through such a rough time.

I don't think this is a men vs women thing though. I think the issue is that our culture has shifted away from communal support and we live very isolated lives. There are plenty of stories about disabled people, both men and women, living successful fulfilling lives with the support of loved ones.

If you were poor and relied on working the field to eat then every woman was expected to work if they could. Enslaved black women in the US often worked carrying children, and women all over the world still do it. The idea that women sit around and take care of the house is a very modern, privileged view. Throughout history only the rich people have ever been able to live that life. The housewives of the 50's are an outlier. And if you think doing laundry and other domestic tasks were easy befor…

On the other side if a woman had those problems they’d be able to make it. The tasks needed weren’t as physically strenuous Women hunted, gathered, and worked fields with babies on their back. The idea that they just sat around and did nothing is untrue.

Yeah it definitely makes you re-evaluate your priorities. Unfortunately not everyone or every couple gets this far or even survives having a family. It's hard work and it takes a lot of personal improvement to be a good parent and partner.

No doubt. Tbf my husband is 34 and really kind of just matured over the last couple of years. We did grow together but we also put in the effort to overcome any issues throughout the years instead of just giving up when it got tough.

I mean I was just talking in general terms from my experience. I've been with my husband for 16 years. Back in highschool/college all we did was play video games but as we got older, took on more responsibilities and had a family we had to come to terms with the fact that gaming wasn't a priority. I think he really struggled with it at first but now he's adapted and finds time to play when there aren't family expectations of him. And honestly, if a red pill wants to "improve themselves" maturity…

Immature people would resent their family from taking away time from their video games. Mature people understand that there is a balance between having a happy, productive family life and playing video games.

So much about sexual desire and libido is individual to the person and what point in their life they are at. I've been with my husband for 16 years, started dating in highschool and we would have sex multiple times a day back then, but we didn't live together so we took advantage of our alone time as teenagers often do. Once we were in college/early 20's and had our own place it became a few times a week. As we got older and life got busier we would set aside one night a week to spend a lot of i…

Sorry to revive an old thread but I think the original comment may be on to something considering that the "LGB" portion of the survey is almost identical f to the straight men and women, even though the men are dating been and the women are dating women? So how does that discrepancy make sense?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
