Hard to get into an entry level role as a sales engineer, usually better to get into consulting services/professional services which is still often commercial and then move to a technical sales role. I’m a sales engineer but I started as a software developer and then product management and software dev management and architecture before moving to a sales engineer role.

Yeah I don’t get the down votes. This should be an open discussion and obviously it is a complicated topic with a lot of grey areas.

Why is it selfish to say she has to live with her choice? Is the same thing not true of everyone of us with every choice we make? I understand your point about the dishonesty in the relationship and I agree is not good, but to say we do not have to live with our choices is foolish. We all have to live everyday with the choices we make. If she makes a choice, say to forgo any birth control and this later endangers her life, she still has to live with that choice and it’s ultimate consequences. Th…

A good captain would listen and work with her to find alternatives. He doesn’t seem to be listening - she is desperate enough to be asking Reddit for advice. Others have said to go to her church for advice, that is good too. Ultimately, she has to live with whatever choice she makes.

At the end of the day, it’s her choice - between her and her new god. She should do what she feels her conscience dictates. I have an iud and unless he’s hitting her cervix, he won’t really be able to tell. Edit: I kind of want to delete this post and all my replies. They don’t seem appreciated and so I would rather remove them, however a later reply has 5 upvotes, so I’m genuinely confused on reactions here.

May want to consider getting an iud and keeping that to yourself. It sucks to not be 100% honest, but this is a choice you need to make for yourself.

You should be asking your boss for more important work which is a stretch and requires you to learn on the job. You should tell your boss you need more challenging work. You’re the only person in charge of your career, start acting like it.

A said a woman’s sexual peak - I.e, her ability to have an orgasm. That has nothing to do with how men perceive attraction (not even touching your comment there since it was completely irrelevant to me point). Way to fail at reading.

If you are 35 and working a minimum wage job, you have bigger problems than getting a woman. You don’t have your life together and need to work on that.

You’ve obviously never been with a woman in their mid thirties - they are at their sexual peak and almost everything can get them going. More proof these subs are full of teenagers who have never talked to a woman in real life.

Lifting is also encouraged so you can set a goal and see measurable improves you are fully in control of. Seeing improvements in your life that you took ownership of leads to intrinsic self worth and high confidence which is attractive. This and so many other subs have become full of hateful incels - try not to fall into their depressing traps.

Sure - most gyms require you to do a belay test. It’s pretty easy though - so I would say if you don’t trust her to belay you, why even date her? I’ve taken so many people climbing and learning how to belay is fairly trivial, but you do you.

You’re the only person in this conversation who said you were a loser. Better, successful people have intrinsic worth and don’t need validation from others as this is always a losing situation. Most figure that out in their teens and twenties. A reason incels/manisphere love young girls - easy to manipulate as they are still immature and seeking validation externally.

Insecurity is unattractive in either gender. I don’t screen or filter on height so if I can’t tell they lied it won’t bother me. But claiming to be 5’7” when you’re only two inches taller than is super obvious. Anyways - what’s your point? That I find tall men with symmetric faces and good muscle tone attractive? Yes, have fun with the obvious.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/19 03:19 PM
1

Yep - guys like pretty girls, womp womp. Given I’m five even I’ve dated plenty of short guys, but most lied about their height if met OLD, and that is right out. One of my favorite guys, we were together for two years, was 5’2” and an acrobat with an eight inch cock. Sex was amazing with him and he was a smart math nerd with a tight muscular body. We would rock climb a lot together. That guy was an exception, most short men have been horribly insecure even though I am 5’0”.

You just want to remove expectation so as not out extra pressure which might trigger his anxiety. Basically, now he believes he has ED and probably sexy brings a lot of anxiety - you want to help make the mood fun again. Just nuzzle him down there, kiss him, etc. even if he’s not hard. Make it fun and playful and enjoy touching him and he’ll start to relax and enjoy himself.
/r/RedPillWomen17/12/19 08:20 PM

That’s not answering the question though. Which whatever, you obviously don’t want to answer the question, In your wording it is what value do you offer a woman,
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/19 07:24 PM
1

Yeah but that’s not negging. That’s just having a strong character that doesn’t change for another person - which is attractive because it comes off as authentic. Negging is backhanded compliments - shit like “you carry your weight well.” When I hear that crap - I walk the hell out as I assume any woman with self esteem would do.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/19 07:23 PM

Make sure (after he stops watching porn and masturbating) that you are also making him feel sexy and desired. Touch him, even non sexually, throughout the day. Be affectionate, snuggle or hug him for no reason. Make out just for fun without it needing to lead anywhere. Give him blow jobs without any goal or expectation from him - just tell him to lie back and enjoy and that you want to spoil him.

Not married, no kids, but I’ll list what I value about my current beau: Listens and supports me. I have a more lucrative career and make more money than him, but we both work in similar enough industries that he understands my job and mine his. We can both discuss work issues together, give each other advice, play devil’s advocate, etc. I lost my father a few months ago and he was extremely supportive during this time. Almost one year earlier, his father passed away and I was also there for him.…

I don’t think anyone is arguing about “improving yourself” as that is generally more attractive for either gender as it raises your value generally. I think it’s the other stuff like negging, etc.

First make sure your pores are clean. Get biore nose strips (the generic cvs/Walgreens ones work well too). If you’re still seeing spots, use a brightner - basically anything that says it brightens in the skin care aisle will do. Garnier makes a dark spot brightening cream that works well.

Have to disagree, some people are materialistic and others are not. I’ve seen a lot of men spend money on stupid shit but somehow if they care about it - it’s not materialistic but when women do the same thing it is. Every guy I’ve dated has made less money than me and I don’t consider that I am “dating down.” Many guys have issues dating women who make more than them - my female friends who are lawyers, scientists, doctors, and engineers pretty much all agree. Many women don’t need a guy to mak…

It’s the same with men. How many times have you listened to a guy talk about doing something and then never following through - if it was actually important, he would take action, not just talk about it.

He doesn’t seem to know how to listen. Maybe he’ll mature, be in a people manager role at work and forced to learn this, etc. Depends on what you are willing to put up with. The next time he gets critical I would just withdraw attention and stop talking to him. He’ll figure out that you don’t like that or he won’t care. There’s no point in continuing talking to him about it as it hasn’t helped - so withdraw when he does this.

I’ve been working in software development for 15+ years (engineer, product manager, dev manager, sales). I’d suggest a few things: Do you have 1-1s with your boss? Bring this up - in the context of asking for more challenging projects. Focus on your career development. Do you want a promotion, move to a managerial role, etc. and in this context discuss with your boss what kind of assignments you need to work on to get there. This makes your boss a partner in your success. In discussions with you…

This. If you do these things your staff will respect you. Show up for them. Do not run game on them. I manage teams of software developers around the world, been doing it for a few years, 10-20 staff. I have hired and built teams to spin them off to other managers. Knowing the product, the vision, the customers, market, and business climate while also being a technical expert who can talk to multiple levels (specialist to executive) will inspire your team to perform their best.

In general people at higher status are more fragile - this is why entire management classes focus on managing up and creating safety for your executives. It’s not about me in particular, it is a common trend, hence why there are courses on this.

This. I work in a mostly male dominated environment and everyone has fragile egos. I have to be more delicate with senior (male or female) to make sure their status feels honored when I give them criticism. I don’t need to do this for anyone below me in status and as a leader this is true regardless of gender. However given the nature of my industry there are many more male seniors than female seniors. Someone may misinterpret that as males need more ego coddling when giving feedback.

You don’t think women can afford to travel on their own? Lame. I’ve been to NZ, Malaysia, Singapore, China, South Korea, the Netherlands, UK, Spain, and Slovenia and two road trips to ski Colorado/Utah in just this year. To be honest I don’t list travel as a hobby since it is a default given in my circles. It’s like reading or listening to music - yes, I expect everyone I surround myself with to enjoy these things.

Screening for an education and job means we’ll be able to have interesting conversation. I make more money than most men in my age range up to 5+ years and can easily retire/second career whenever I want, and yes I still want to be able to have an intelligent conversation. That’s ridiculous, have you debugged a circuit board? You don’t think that requires patience? That usually takes way longer than debugging software with automated test cases you can write. You just need to be willing to work hours on a problem - I don’t see how that is gender dependent. No, lots of people think it just changed as the status of the job went from “clerical” to “creative.” I got 20 year veterans that I have to remind about scale and performance (don’t write stuff that scales N2 for instance). I’ve known and am related to women who became financially independent and could retire in their late thirties. This is an absurd statement. Most people’s earning power increases as they age. Stop planning dates. Do things you want to do (active hobbies if you have them are good - hiking, rock climbing, sailing, etc.) and invite them to join. If they flake, you don’t care because you’re still doing something fun you want to do. Fill your life with more fun activities you want to do. Don’t compare yourself to others, just do better for yourself. Focus first on paying off your debt and minimizing your burn rate. If you’re debt free build a cushion of 6 months your burn rate in cash. Anything extra after that should be saved and invested. Geek out on wealth management strategies if you’d like or auto rebalance and monitor. Diversify liquid, non liquid, stocks, cash, and bonds - changing to more conservative ratios as you age.

I learned this from my father who treated it like his hobby. If you have any friends or relatives that have this as a hobby that is a good place to start. If you are already saving a portion of your income, see if you can increase that by 5% of your net monthly income as a way to give yourself funds to get started. I once read you should start a new habit with a 2 minute commitment. Say you want to be in the habit of doing 20 pushups every morning - why not commit to one every morning? Good habits compound on build on each other - once you’ve been doing one push-up consistently you will naturally want to keep going. The key is getting over the initial inertia.
