If I think the BF is a good guy (and that bar for me is really only a notch above asshole AFC) then I stay far away from escalating anything with that girl. But if the BF is an idiot, or I dislike him on a moral basis, then I have no qualms about speeding the relationship to an end. We take a lot of responsibility away from girls when it comes to cheating unnecessarily.
