First, who says they aren't? Second, who says they don't? Of course, courts are biased towards awarding more custody to the mother (and, consequently, more child support, as well). Also, fathers tend to work longer hours than women to support their family, and that usually works against them in getting more custody.

Funny how the media never talks about how mothers are, in fact, responsible for the majority of the murders of their own kids - not fathers.

"No fault" does NOT apply to the children. It only applies to the basis on which the termination of marriage is granted. Fault definitely applies to custody/visitation. Demonstrably shitty parentling matters, and is relevant to custody proceedings, so document the hell out of that stuff. Let CPS/police know about any bruises or sketchy things your kids say or that your wife does. Take photos, write stuff down immediately in a journal (and date what you write).
