Embracing Your Truth LoudlyThank you. It sounds so silly when I say it out loud; it’s such a fear of mine, though, to be so different from everyone in my life. Even though traditional makes way more sense to me. 😬 | /r/RedPillWives | 05/05/22 12:45 AM
Relationship milestones/anniversaries?We have been together 9 years and our anniversaries, and all celebrations, are simple. A special home cooked dinner, or sometimes at a restaurant. A walk around a beautiful park. Chatting about our life together. We will usually put the kids to bed early and enjoy the sunset quietly by ourselves. Just little things! 😊 | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/05/22 12:43 AM
Things to show your partner you appreciate them?I always think, looking lovely is a wonderful way to show a man you care. This makes him look good, too. It doesn’t have to be terribly much; nice hair, feminine clothes and accessories. Homemade food, especially lunches, is a lovely treat. Keeping your space clean for him, especially places he’ll be relaxing in like the dining room or the den. Offering complements often, and withholding criticism. Manners are always wonderful. I also keep a running list of things my husband mentions he desires … | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/05/22 12:42 AM
Embracing Your Truth LoudlyI think, based on the interpretation of that word in this thread, I’ve used it incorrectly. What I mean is, not wearing a mask anymore. Speaking my truth (which even at a whisper feels loud at this point, hence my choice of words.) In my circle, me wearing a dress or looking put together becomes a point of focus for people, and I don’t like that. A better word would likely have been; “confidently,” or “openly.” | /r/RedPillWives | 05/05/22 12:36 AM
Embracing Your Truth LoudlyThank you so much. This was really helpful. My husband has been asking me to wear dresses and skirts for so long, yet he asks in a way that’s very open ended and “as you wish”. Haha! Thank you. I’m going to practice. | /r/RedPillWives | 04/05/22 06:18 PM
Embracing Your Truth LoudlyThis is the type of confidence I mean! Thank you. To me that’s “loud.” I’ve spent a lifetime masking my femininity and more conservative views, because my environment is largely liberal/female power/feminism, etc. and it actually terrifies me to live “out loud” as who I really am. Like, wearing dresses even gets me a “who do you think you are?” attitude from people. I think just surrounding myself with more people who see life the way I do could be helpful. It’s exhausting keeping my mouth shut … | /r/RedPillWives | 04/05/22 03:29 PM
Embracing Your Truth LoudlyNo I don’t know what that is. I’m not in the states. | /r/RedPillWives | 04/05/22 02:30 PM
Embracing Your Truth LoudlyJust like that; sharing your opinion, living a modest life, being more gentle and soft. I was raised where loud-mouthed Tom boys are celebrated, and as a child that was fine. As an adult I’d love to curl my hair, wear dresses, and delicate jewelry. Anytime I do it’s, “why are you so dressed up?” “Who are you trying to look good for?” Or if I share my opinions, “wow didn’t know you were a 1950s woman.” I suspect if I just embraced it eventually that would stop. It feels scary to go for it, though… | /r/RedPillWives | 04/05/22 02:30 PM
What does submission to your husband feel likeThis is how our relationship has been, too. The more I let him lead, the less we argue and the better the results are. I trust he’s always looking out for my best interest. I’ve come to understand he’s better at most of the rational decision making and such than I am anyway! | /r/RedPillWomen | 04/05/22 05:49 AM
How has birth control, the internet, career focus, abortion, and the hook-up culture affected you and your view of men?I have been really thinking and praying on this lately. In many ways, I became an entitled, spoiled brat. Demanding everything of my husband and offering very little in return. My exhaustion, my hunger, my frustration, my irritations always came first. His effort, energy, and sacrifice meant very little. I was “an empowered QUEEN, and so you should treat me like one!“ I had very little kind things to say to him. I was hard on him. Very ungrateful. Honestly, I’m surprised he even stayed with me. … | /r/RedPillWomen | 04/05/22 05:45 AM
Hubby/Boyfriend/SO gratitude chain?Aww that’s so sweet! My husband just became the “sole breadwinner” for us with his new job! I actually still make money but it’s more for something to do than anything else — I am a direct sales rep for a food company so it ties in with homemaking & motherhood really well! When I got promoted to leader my husband was so cute, he’s like “will you still have time to homeschool and raise the baby?” Hahah. He has always been open to me doing whatever I want, so it was really sweet to see him recogni… | /r/RedPillWives | 04/05/22 05:27 AM
