I’m grateful for all the Christmas decorations up in my town already. So thankful Christmas came a little early this year.

Am I being afraid/insecure for no reason? Yes. It sounds like your boyfriend loves your little notes, and I’m sure he’d appreciate a poem even more. You should definitely do it. Don’t be nervous. I think it’s common for women with creative hobbies (whether you make poetry, music, paintings, scarves, whatever) to get super nervous the first time they make something for someone they love. 99.9999% of the time, the nerves are totally unwarranted. People love getting things custom made from people t…

Girl, you’re creating life right now. That’s an amazing thing. Yes, your body does have to gain weight to support your baby, but it’s only temporary. A month or two after you give birth, your body will be basically back to normal, especially if you’re breastfeeding (burns a lot of fat). Just give yourself grace and focus on the baby inside you, less on what you see on the outside. After you give birth, just go back to your regular workout routine from before pregnancy. And make sure you’re eatin…

I’ll add, book clubs are great, AND you can tell by the books they read what type of values girls in that group have before you join.

I don’t see it as being extremely old, but most of the feminine bloggers are married with children. The big ones are mostly late 20s/early 30s. Would love to see something for college age or even teens.

If you’re a SAHM, you lose your own independent income and you’re totally reliant on your husband. That’s great for both if you stay together, but you’re kinda screwed in a divorce.
/r/RedPillWomen27/10/20 04:01 PM
2

But you can control whether or not you get divorced. The magical divorce fairy doesn’t just pick a random 40% of marriages to destroy. Having a good foundation of love, good communication, mutual respect, and similar values and lifestyle expectations. If you have that before you’re married, if you have any issues later on, you just have to be willing to see a couples counselor and put in the work to fix things.

But that in and of itself is a huge red flag. “Yeah sure I totally love and trust you but sign this contract because I don’t trust women”. That just sounds like a complete incel mindset (for lack of a better term) and a terrible way to start a marriage.

Probably not. It just kinda depends on what happens. If I already have 3+ kids and I get to a point where it’s super difficult to have kids or have a bunch of miscarriages or something I don’t want to keep putting myself through that even if I’m not 35 yet so I’d stop then.
/r/RedPillWomen18/10/20 05:12 PM
13

At least 3 but ideally 5+. Would like to start around 26-28 and be done by 35. I’m fine with however many kids I get during that time.

Because he loves her.... Lmao not everything has to be some transaction, especially relationships. That’s a great way to end up miserable and alone.

Beige is much worse than gray. All-gray houses are cold and sterile, but gray is a nice clean backdrop for other colorful furniture and art. Beige just automatically makes everything look old and gross.

A shade is how light or dark something is. Tones refers to other colors mixed in (bluish-grey, greenish-grey etc.)

Also if you don’t find anything interesting, don’t be afraid to start your own! Advertise on Instagram and Facebook and maybe put up fliers around town. Believe me when I tell you you’re not the only one feeling like this, and you’re likely to get a lot of positive responses.

Tattoos aren’t inherently a red flag, but they’re great for getting to know if he has any red flags or just getting to know his character in general. Ask him about the meaning of all of his tattoos, you’ll get to know a lot about him very fast.

Not to mention, if you have all that money, using it to compete in a beauty contest is about the least inspiring thing you could do with it.

You could try interning/working in a local gov office or on a campaign. Some nonprofits hire and pay to lobby and write petitions to government offices as well. You could try that route

Things to improve: learn more complex hairstyles. Styling my hair for me is just doing beach waves and leaving it down or adding a cute headband. I literally can’t even braid properly lol. posture I’m pretty okay weight-wise, but I’d like to tone up to the way I was before quarantine improve my accessories. I have the basics, but I’d like to get a few more “nicer-everyday” pieces (not heirloom quality) and a few more statement belts and sunglasses. Would also love to start wearing hats more freq…

Honestly super accurate. 1-3 of any pet is fine regardless of what it is (unless it’s spiders or something gross like that, in which case I’m never going to your house) but once you get past that, people with lots of dogs are much much weirder than people with lots of cats. I will say though, people with lots of birds have both of those beat by a long shot.

Honestly, the best dating advice is to not take dating advice from people on the internet. Text your group chat if you need advice with how to respond to a specific text or something like that, but general advice is pretty useless tbh. The major exception to that is advice on what makes an actually healthy relationship, but general advice on getting and keeping a bf is dumb.

Seconding that you’ll need trial and error, but I just want to recommend the brands Peach and Lily, CosRX, and Ole Hendrickson. I’ve tried a ton of brands and products and given a ton of recommendations and these are honestly the best brands on the market right now. Also Differin retinal gel. It’s a must, but start slow. Once or twice a week is good. Also, if you wear makeup, do a double cleanse at night. Use an oil based cleanser to melt your makeup, and a water based cleanser to make sure ever…

I posted this above but it applies here as well It’s really not all that easy to hide if you aren’t used to it. While obviously you shouldn’t be flaunting your wealth, people can tell by your attitude towards things, ESPECIALLY in college. If you spend the whole mandatory financial aid presentation on your phone because you already know you don’t qualify, people can tell. If someone comes into your dorm and sees that your shoe rack is full of designer brands, they can tell. If you UberEats a swo…

You really just have to get to a point where you’re happy with yourself. Keep in shape, and find the right hair and skin products. I would really recommend visiting r/Kibbe and taking the test to find your body type and follow those recommendations for dressing, hair, and makeup.

Don’t move in. If you move in now, you’ll never move out unless you break up. Also, don’t get rid of your kitty. That alone would be a dealbreaker for me.

Not surprising. Definitely say no, but if you think it would be constructive and not just upsetting, have a talk with him about how it makes you feel that he wants something like this and concerns about porn. Reaffirm his decision to quit porn and show him how it affects you (your feelings towards this disgusting fantasy he got via porn)

PLEASE see a psychiatrist. From what you’ve written, not knowing how to cook is the least of your problems. I’ve also struggled with some pretty severe mental health issues, so I know how debilitating it can be. It’s not your fault that you have these problems, but wallowing in self-pity doesn’t solve anything either. See a psychiatrist and get on antidepressants. This isn’t an instant fix. Pills can take a few weeks to work and it may take trying a few different drugs before you even find one t…

First of all, I want you to know that from what you have described, the issue is not about being a SAHM, the issue is with your husband. Did you ever get help for PPD? You shouldn’t be afraid to tell your husband about it, because the truth is, he can help. He can help you find a good therapist and psychiatrist and pay for it since he is the breadwinner. He can also support you emotionally, which it doesn’t sound like he is doing. Next, it doesn’t sound like your husband is pulling his weight in…

Agreed. I’ll also add that it might be a good time to open a bottle of fine wine or champagne or whatever he likes to drink. A lot of couples have a few bottles of the more expensive stuff that they save for a super special occasion that never comes, now is as good a time as any to open it. Also, use the good china and silverware, tablecloths, candles, maybe make a fun centerpiece out of something you have in the house. Just do what you can to make it feel special. The most important thing thoug…

A lot of these have to do with a mental health spiral I had last year but here goes: Keep seeing my therapist and psychiatrist and work through all my issues I’ve kept bottled up. I’d eventually like to get off antidepressants. Get my pre-spiral body back. I gained 10 pounds and lost all the ab definition and strength I used to have. I’m working on losing the weight and doing more core exercises. I miss having flat abs. Read 20 books this year outside of school. I’m especially focusing on classi…

I would add, even if things with the new guy don’t end up working out, I really doubt things with the 31 year old would have been better. This isn’t a choice between two guys, it’s a choice of whether or not to follow your instincts and common sense.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you manage to plan a wedding in that amount of time? Its rare for an engagement alone in my area to be less than 18 months. Just for the wedding dress alone, it’s recommended to order at least a year before, and most couples prefer to choose a venue prior to that. All the best venues will usually be fully booked for the main season 2-3 years in advance. Is this a cultural difference or did you have a really simple wedding?

You could try to look for a community class in something traditionally feminine like cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, or creating floral arrangements. I took a few cake decorating classes and they were super fun and I got to meet a bunch of other young women. See if your local newspaper, town hall, community center, or Facebook events for your area has anything that looks interesting to you. Some community colleges and high schools also offer these types of “adult enrichment classes”. Look …

Seek treatment. You don’t absolutely need a job right this second, but believe me when I tell you, you will at some point. If you can push yourself, get the job, but if it’s that bad, you really need to talk to a professional. I had debilitating OCD and weekly therapy and an SSRI can really make a world of difference. You can’t live your whole life in fear, even if you never have a job and go straight to being a housewife, but even that is super rare.

I have no idea what your budget is here so forgive me if this is too pricy, but the brand Love Shack Fancy has a lot of pieces that seem like they would fit your aesthetic. They’re more expensive than the other brands suggested here, but if you’re looking to invest, I would highly recommend

This was my first thought as well. It seems like a clear attempt to remove your agency and control over the situation. Especially considering that he made the appointment before even consulting with you. Sounds like he wasn’t going to take no for an answer even if that required forcing you into an appointment where you couldn’t speak for yourself. Also, did you both decide to start trying for kids and then he brought up the finances once you were pregnant? If that’s the case, that’s another majo…

Even if you don’t need it, if you’ve already been on it for a while, it’s much better to slowly taper down your dosage and then eventually stop entirely. Depending on how long you were on it and how high the dose is, quitting cold turkey can cause psychological problems, even if you didn’t have any before you started taking the drug.
