There’s a YouTuber I like who is really good for this kind of thing. Lots of videos on grocery shopping, how to plan for a week of meals, and how to use everything and minimize food waste. His channel is Pro Home Cooks, I’ve learned so much from him!

I suggest trying to refocus on self-care. My guess is that you don’t want to quit your job; it sounds like you just need to feel good, sometimes, by yourself. Maybe if you’re feeling sad or angry you go get a massage or see a movie instead of coming home right away. Maybe you want to start taking a class you’d really love. Maybe you simply need to ask for some uninterrupted time at home. I also have a hard time not bringing my stressful job home. I find it helps if I have some time to decompress…

I have a strong sense that there may be some exaggeration in this post. I wonder if maybe your husband looks at girls on Instagram and it makes you feel like he wishes you looked that way. I can totally relate. I’m often really insecure about my appearance but it’s important to remember that your husband loves you! It’s totally normal for men to be attracted to other women and to look at them. If he’s not taking any action there’s nothing to worry about. However, you should let him know how it m…

How did you block all advertisements? This would massively benefit me but I am not tech savy

It’s about love and enjoying the simple things and the occasional lover’s murder, what’s not to like!?

I don’t know if you’re into country music but country music. I really love bluegrass especially. It’s usually really wholesome and makes you feel good. There are great bluegrass playlists on Spotify or you can try this playlist of some of my faves! Favorite Bluegrass

Broken record as always, but have you tried Laura Doyle? Often when your husband stops paying attention to you it’s because something is going wrong in how you relate to each other. Examine your own behavior and find areas in which you might be mothering him (huge turnoff) and/or controlling him. The control may especially be an issue because you see him as lazy and having let himself go. You can correct this trajectory in your husband by changing your ow behavior. Check out The Surrendered Wife…

It’s way more difficult to lose weight if you aren’t getting enough sleep. Cortisol level affect weight loss and you body doesn’t have enough time to reset. Your first step should be to focus on getting more sleep! Try taking a magnesium powder drink or melatonin to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. I’m also in the process of losing about 100lbs and it can be really overwhelming and hopeless but you just have to keep working!

Most women are words of Affirmation and receiving gifts, where most men are quality time and acts of service This is a great suggestion for OP

I gotta say I think it's very possible that he's still looking at porn. This sounds like addict behavior; acknowledging the problem but doing nothing about it, being secretive, avoiding responsibility, etc.

I’m not sure things are as grim as the first poster makes them seem. I also have this problem with my boyfriend and find that letting him take the lead is the best way to go about things. However, there is a lot you can do to encourage him. Laura Doyle really emphasizes self care and making yourself look and feel sexy can be part of that. He will be interested in a woman’s form no matter what so show yours off! Work in being appealing to him in every way and he’ll long for you. He is probably so…

If you have a hard time finding a therapist who won’t bother you about RP stuff, look for an explicitly religious counselor or even try a pastor. I’m not Catholic but go to a Catholic counseling service so I don’t have to deal with raised eyebrows about my traditional relationship

I feel this should be an auto response, but have you tried Laura Doyle? Read or listen to “The Surrendered Wife.” You’ll find feeling negatively toward your husband is usually rooted in your own behavior and insecurities. It will also teach you how you can get what you want from him by just changing your behavior. Laura Doyle also has a great podcast. Check it out!

I’ve had a ton of luck with “Fuck Feelings” by Sarah and Michael Bennett. It’s a little harsh but in a really refreshing way.

This exactly! Men are stable during turmoil, that's why we love/need them!!

Men and women are different. The differences are what makes relationships between us so special and important. I think men should make their feelings clear when they have them, but I think you his it right on the head saying that they don't have a constant stream of feelings or the need to express them like we do. Thank goodness!

To be honest, I don't have any male friends besides ones I grew up with. My bf is not comfortable with me spending time alone with another man, even sometimes with my best friend from childhood. I love men and spending time with them, so I have built friendships with my bf's close friends, but I would ever spend time with them alone or even text them outside of making plans in which we're all involved. There's just no real reason to be friends with men, unless you are single and trying to build …

Thanks! I appreciate your info, I'm am totally certain that he really loves me but your comment helped me realize that I am kinda being a jerk about this and I need to get over myself!! Thank you for weighing in. The gifts he gives me are not wrapable and way more valuable than any paycheck could cover!

So he does get me gifts and they're usually very nice and useful gifts that I love and/or use all the time. But I do feel like I have to carefully ratchet my expectations so I'm not disappointed. For example, I desperately want a Kitchenaid stand mixer but I know he would never spend that much on a gift for me. He is definitely making an effort! and he loves me very much, just not Christmas he even says, "Christmas is for you," so, you know, shrug emoji. Actually reading these comments and respo…

If this were the only issue I would suggest you let it go. Lots of rp men and women don’t feel women should be in leadership positions because we believe in traditional gender roles. So it’s a pretty straightforward issue. However, given everything else that appears to be going on with you, it sounds like your husband is actually just horrible and taking advantage of your fear of leaving.

This is actually something I've been working on for about five weeks now. I think a lot of femininity is about strict adherence to manners and being very polite. Just kindness and making others comfortable as often as possible. Here are the things I've been working on: -Speaking softly, not yelling, in a pleasant tone (I have a naturally loud voice) -Thinking before I speak (do I really have something to add to the conversation?) -No cursing or use of slurs -Don't engage in gossip (this is so ha…

The best non normal method that will prevent pregnancy before eggs are even released would be the copper IUD. It is 99.8% effective and will not have any other effects on your body. Because it stops ovulation, there is absolutely no relationship between this method and abortion. If you want to stop using condoms without risking pregnancy, this is absolutely your safest bet aside from abstinence. I know this because I taught sex-Ed before I was red pilled. Edit: it turns out I misremembered and t…
