This is my dad. He didn’t use condoms because “they don’t always work.” ????? I was the last accident before my mom got her tubes tied. It’s worse because he cheated on my mom (with us kids at home), but didn’t use condoms for those affairs either. My mom got judged very hard for being a “whore” when she went to the doc to find out he gave her STDs.

What happens if he asks you directly if you’ll pay? Do you say no? Do you ignore him? Do you continue to be polite or are you curt so he wants to pay just to get you to leave? The part about letting the check sit on the table until he pays is fascinating. I imagine it’d get awkward but I haven’t yet been put into that position

I’m so sorry you had to experience that! I relatively recently learned that there are a lot of scary side effects that goes along with it that don’t get talked about enough. Hopefully you did not experience too many of those.
