One thing about MA though, they will vote for a republican if he has good ideas. We have a republican governor who will most likely win a second term and is pretty popular. I'm not a fan of the Republican party at all. The issue I have with voting independent is that I feel my vote is wasted. The reality is that in most cases the election comes down to two candidates with a reasonable shot to win. There needs to be a viable 3rd party in the US but there is so much incentive from everyone in the political world to prevent that from happening so they squash it before any momentum can be built.
