It also depends heavily on age. The older you get, the more men are in demand and women are downright desperate for a relationship. Men have to work to get action when they are young, but women will actively pursue you once you get into your mid 30's.

It seems you are obviously in denial here. Women definitely do tend to pursue older guys with more resources and a better lifestyle. When I was in high school, the hottest girls all wanted to date older college guys who had cars and money for dates. Then in college, the sorority girls all wanted a guy who had graduated, was established, and had his own place off campus. This is a well established and commonly observed dynamic. The greater attractiveness of older males is also well established in…

I don’t know much about the concept of “the wall”, but I can tell you that finding partners definitely gets easier and easier for men as they get older. A big part of it is just demographics. It varies by location, but there are just many more older women looking for a partner. The fact that men are programmed to want youth-connected traits (like fertility) and women are programmed to look for more maturity-connected traits (that suggest a man is established) also make this dynamic undeniable. W…

I get what you are saying but it seems obvious that you are coming from an emotional place and you really want a certain answer for your own personal reasons. You really emotionally need the answer to be that “promiscuity is not meaningfully associated with anything and there should therefore never be any consequences for promiscuity”. Unfortunately, this is not true. Scientific research has very consistently demonstrated that people with n-count numbers are actually more likely to cheat (among …

You really need to work on your reading comprehension. I very clearly did not say any of that. I have been completely clear that sex is not wrong or in any way cheating. I have also made it really clear that I was talking about both genders equally.

“one night stands when youre single are NOT "past behavior" that predict anythign about how you behave IN relationships” I respect your opinion, but a very large and consistent body of research shows that having a high n-count does make one more likely to cheat and less likely to be able to maintain a LTR. Of course, this does not mean that any individual person will cheat. It also applies to both men and women “theft convictions are a false analogy” You missed the main point, which was that pas…

I understand your logic, but you are overthinking it. The simple dynamic at work is that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. This is why we have resumes, credit ratings, background checks etc. While it is undeniably true that individuals can and do radically change their behavior, the vast majority of people stay quite consistent over time. Try getting a job at a bank with a half-dozen convictions on your record for theft. Then try explaining to the bank manager that all of t…

It seems like you are not understanding the scientific principles here and what they mean. There is no problematic issue from a research perspective. I’m guessing what you are referring to is the fact that the research that demonstrates correlation between promiscuity and infidelity does not identify the ultimate cause of either behavior. This is correct but totally irrelevant, unless you are a social scientist or are writing your masters thesis in social psychology. Research consistently demons…

I read and understood what you said. You are endorsing a strategy to increase sex by doing more chores. That is chore-play. You are trying to distance yourself from the transactional nature of the strategy, but it still very obvious. Using chores as a currency to get sex will have the opposite effect. You should have some kind of equitable split of responsibilities with your partner because it is just something a responsible adult does. You get sex with your partner by being attractive.

Chore-play is always a bad idea. It is a well known and consistent finding of Operant Conditioning that giving an extrinsic reward for a behavior will reduce whatever intrinsic desire for that behavior the subject initially had. So even if your partner originally wanted sex, offering a reward for sex will make him/her stop wanting sex for its own enjoyment and start doing it only for the external award. This is the opposite of the effect most of us are looking for. Research in social science has…

I like the way you try apply psychoanalytic dynamics to trp. I have to say that I don’t think you quite have a firm grip on Freud’s structural model of the psyche (remember it’s only a model and Freud’s parts of the mind are only theoretical constructs). If you were really ”in tune” with your id, you would just rape any person you found attractive and murder anyone who pissed you off at all. Seduction and “game” would have no part in the process. The id is truly a nasty, selfish, violent, bestia…

My experience has been just the opposite of what OP suggests. When I got out of a 15 year marriage at 40, I thought dating would be really hard. After all, I was older, going bald, developing a beer gut, and continuing to develop body hair in unexpected and unwelcome places. I was surprised to learn that I had never been more in demand. Dating has been mostly effortless for me after 40, with women showing interest and trying to move things forward. I tried ads on POF and OKCupid and never had to…

"Sex on demand, every time, just the way he wants it gets boring after a while." This sounds like a rationalization. I've never encountered a man who left a relationship because the sex was too good and too consistent.

In the traditional Christian vows, the Bride vows that she is her Husband's "to have and to hold". It should be obvious that this is referring to being sexually available.

If you accept this, then you also have to be willing to accept that all of feminists complaints about mistreatment by men are also the result of the very same selection-bias. r/theredpill is a gender-reversed mirror image of r/TwoXChromosomes.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
