Whether he is a punk or not, that doesn't give her the right to have sex with a minor. Unless your argument is that he raped her (via use of force), I don't see how him being a "punk" is relevant.

It would be legal if she were also under 18 (or, in some states, if they started dating in the legal range and continued sexual activities though one turned 18 before the other). However, since she was far older than 18 and he was 16, this is legally child molestation/sexual abuse.

I don't think it's meant to generalize; it only opens people's minds to the possibility of false rape accusations. Not everyone is lying, but not everyone is telling the truth either.

I was taught that it was totally okay to consent and then later take back that consent. I am so glad that I explored other ideas and was able to learn about why that is wrong. I am so glad I learned before I made a horrible mistake. The real tragedy is that everyone thought it was only natural to raise me on that belief.

Most of us just think that it is a choice you should have been given later in life when you could actually decide things. Parents should not be able to have medical procedures done to mutilate their child's genitals, especially when the child is unable to consent.
