I think there's an implication which I haven't seen picked up on before: They say the husband would have to pay child support as it's in the child's best interests. that if the husband didn't pay, then the mother would have less money. you're ignoring the fact that she was abusing her position as a teacher. teachers are supposed to be trustworthy people. kids should never have to worry about recieving sexual advances from their teacher.
