I know exactly where I am thank you. Once you get to a certain maturity you realize that kind of stuff doesn’t matter and what matters is who you are now as a person because everyone makes mistakes and did something they’re not proud of. No one was born knowing this kind subs knowledge

I find this answer highly offensive. “Not relevant “ you say. This isn’t something that goes away with age and it presents differently in everyone. I should know, my boyfriend finally got diagnosed at age 37. No one realized it when he was younger because he was gifted academically, which happens often. I picked up on this after knowing him for two months and he’s finally perusing therapy.

He needs to go get his testosterone levels checked. This can affect men as early as 20s and 30s. This is more common than we think it is.

Girl, keep studying and become a doctor. You will eventually meet somebody, take care of your needs first and make that money so you can support yourself if needed. Lots of high value men like mine appreciate someone with a good work ethic and is attracted to that, you can always settle down and become a housewife but don’t let a man keep you from here goals Or any other women on here who tell you that all high value men care about is someone feminine who can be a mom and stay at home. You can d…

I don’t think she was making a blanket statement. Just because some people on the spectrum are good parents that does not mean that all people on the spectrum will be good parents. While I am not on the spectrum, my boyfriend is and we have both decided that being parents is not in our future. I feel a lot of it has to do with his spectrum like tendencies and his inability to express emotions, deal with screaming and crying and poor communication skills (outside of dealing with work and his hobb…

Everyone on the spectrum is different, and it shows itself in peoples personalities very differently. Some people with high functioning autism as it’s now called, do not have the personality to have, and raise children. Often times people on the spectrum have issues with relationship stability related to their ability to read their partner and communicate with them. While I would not call someone on the spectrum emotionally immature, it is common that emotional regulation can be difficult and al…

This is EVERYTHING!!!! I learned about Grey Rock a few days ago after googling NPD. Which I’m sure he has, and it’s highly likely an effect from how his mom raised him as I watch their relationship now.

There comes a time in everyone’s life with an abuser that they realize they’re being emotionally abused. And it’s an awful feeling when you finally come out of denial to realize that there is a reason why I can’t do anything perfect and why walking on eggshells isn’t enough and that maybe I’m not making a “bad face.” I believe my partner has a narcissistic personality disorder and I will never win. All of the arguments make sense, and that fact that I’ve grown tired of apologizing to him for me,…

I don’t have anything available to move today. I don’t have a large savings and I’m working on saving more. I make okay money but I live In a high cost living area if I want to stay here. Definitely don’t have enough to get an apartment and pay for moving expenses and a used car. I can’t keep the car I have now because it’s not in my name and I could never afford the monthly payment and live on my own. I’m starting to look at affordable options around here vs going back to the other more expensi…

The car is in his name and even if I took over the payment I can’t afford the monthly payment. And get a new car, not new but used like I’d do a 2015 civic. And get an apartment. I’d loose our two huskies. He’s mentioned several times I’ll never leave with them. I’m afraid there’s no more men out there. At least ones not wanting children or not already have children. I know it’s not impossible but the idea of getting back out there is terrifying. He’s already calmed down. Some times it takes a f…

I’m saving for this. I have an okay job but have never been the best saver. So I’m saving some “get out” money. The idea of having to not only move out and take on my own car payment is very overwhelming. The car is in his name. I can’t keep it because I can’t afford the monthly car payment and live on my own.

Have you ever been tested for adhd? You sound like me until I decided to take control of my life and I take medication now to help. I’m mostly impulse free and things are better than ever. I’ve quieted down a lot on the inside and rarely feel the urge to interrupt and I’m not as loud and abrasive. I honestly feel like my boyfriend loves me more, says it more and I finally feel very appreciated. We’ve been through some hard times but I feel like taking medicine for what I have has genuinely helpe…

I suspect a diagnosis of high functioning Autism. Over the year we’ve figured out that’s what’s wrong with my boyfriend who excels at coding and computer programming, but fails to connect on a higher level of emotional relatability, empathy, and in general never going to be a lively conversationalist. He makes up for all this in other ways though, and I got us a relationship intimacy card deck of questions, I hope we can connect more over this. For some reason though I find that I connect most w…

If this has worked for you so far, please continue to do what you’re doing. Every relationship is different, and don’t let what everyone on this sub Reddit says about how your relationship should be, and how there’s is correct (RPW fashion relationships). Y’all are both students and most likely on a fixed income, as far as I’m concerned, as long as you two make almost the same amount, you are not married to him so therefore he owes you nothing, and things should be split equally. In my current r…

Well really though people change unfortunately, and having a child can definitely change someone for the good or bad.

You really don’t know what’s going on in those relationships in the privacy of their homes, so you don’t know, they could be garbage ass losers.

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost two years, and while I wanted to wait to live with him, I ended up living with him after dating for nine months. He got a promotion he couldn’t turn down and we moved to Dallas. It didn’t make sense to move and both live in separate places. After a few weeks in I knew he was the one. I always made it clear that I would always work ( because I’m a nurse and I love my job) and he supports me working, but I always let him know I’d take care of him. Really, a…

Study a little bit everyday for my Biology class. Working on continuing my education and getting my BSN. Boyfriend is soooo proud of me for continuing my education and is very encouraging!!!

In North Dallas, so yes I guess. Though we are like in Collin county, I'd say it's boarder line! We live in a housing community off Preston road.

Nothing really. Pulling out. My man has a mental thing about finishing inside so I don't ever worry. We've decided if "it" happens will deal with it. We're both financially ready for a kid. So I imagine we'd keep it. I'm not too concerned. My man also gets weekly testosterone injections, that also can make man infertile while he's in it.

I am 35. Been taking birth control most of my adult life. Stopped taking it a few weeks ago. That problem cleared up IMMEDIATELY!!! We're both much happier now!

Lol. I don't particularly want children and he is up in the air about it too. We're just going to see what happens and go from there. he'd be a great father, but if it doesn't happen I'm not bothered either.

Also he have a cat and I have a cat. And I don't have children or want them. Now what?

all I'm saying is that my boyfriend is not very savvy when it comes to jewelry. I don't wear a lot of jewelry so he doesn't really know what I like. I definitely don't want silver or platinum. What is wrong with mentioning what kind of material I want so I don't end up with something that doesn't work with gold necklaces that I wear. Everyone got this completely misconstrued. He is pretty clueless when it comes to jewelry and I don't think there's anything wrong and leading somebody to something…

Lol I agree with you 💯. I'm more lurker than poster. Actually I'm a nurse working full time. I love my job and don't plan to quit. Helping people is my life. And I love to help him make his life easier, like he does mine. We compliment each other well, and are a like minded couple who wants a family. Maybe I'll work less one day, but I'll never be the SAHM type. I'm too independent and I believe that he values that and that I have my own unique thoughts. I don't own anything too nice in my life,…

You sound jealous and annoying. I am super kind hearted, and am always doing little things to let him know how much I love him and make him feel special and appreciated. I'm also a nurse, and spend 40+ hours of my life taking care of other people. I work very hard, and actually live very modestly, hell, most of my wardrobe is bought as second hand. Of course I didn't go into detail about myself, him, and our love and relationship together- because that's not the point of the post. Sure I can wri…
