If you want 50/50 you need to show that is in the best interest of the child. Everything needs to be in the best interest of the child.

yes it gets better, fight like hell to get your kids. I did and I have custody, for me keeping my kids helped me focus on being Dad enough to forget about the rest. IDK if thats possible, but try. Get off the drugs too, strange that seems to get held against people, or at least dont share that you are using them.

I had the same situation btw, second time I heard my ex do that I stopped her at the door and kicked her out. It was hard, I was truly terrified at that point of losing my kids, but I kept my home, kept my kids and had police show up to make her leave. In the end I won everything, she got no money from me, didn't get my kids and my life is 1000% better. Never give up the kids when you aren't the one screwing up.

Keep your kids, kick her out and have her pay child support. Courts are changing their tone, with so many fathers lacking in the picture your shot at having full custody is awesome now. I got full custody of my 2 (4, 6) and my background matches your of what you wrote.
